  • Oh good. I'm not the only one who's getting old school Black Sabbath vibes from this.

  • Listen carefully to the singer's tone as the lyrics begin... to me, at least, sounds like

"We don't need no education", "We don't need no thought control"

Otherwise, sounds very much like ozzy osbourne.

  • very black sabbathish

  • 0:46 Yoda ...look for it

  • If you need to build a brick wall you should call a strong guy... an Iron Man...

  • @moparmav haha that comment was absolutely spot on

on a side note I totally want an animated gif of the solo intro, the orange stacks coming out of the ground is fucking EPIC!

  • dam cuzz blood.......best band from mad swan gang period..

  • QUESTA CANZONE SPACCA.

  • @RockHistoryTube decisamente ;)

  • those guys were amazing to watch live, but when I hear their recorded stuff all I can do is cringe

  • yes, folk that like this usually like porking their sisters and maybe their cows.

  • holy product placement at 2:36! wow!

  • @OddMusicality Yes Orange amps are like a religious experience. :)

  • Decandente.

  • david gilmore mush be one of Ozzy offspring,a forgoten child, who then taught music at the school Dmon Fox went to...hence BigElf hahahah i just made that up to all you think people btw :P

  • Wikid.....

  • muito bom o show deles *-*

  • amazing band

  • I seriously thought it was Iron Man when I heard the first two notes...

  • uhhh... what the fuck?

  • Not my favourite song of theirs, but they're a good band. Live they're even better!

  • ^^ Steve looks so cool in this video, money is pure evil is a stupid video but the song isnt half bad but I like madhatter...this video is kind of funny it seems like a joke but its still kind of interesting looking.

  • Actually is Black Floydbow...

  • Are they serious? Or are they trying to parody? Seriously, it look like a scene from Spinal Tap or a goofy commrcial for Orange amplifiers.

  • Are they serious? Or are they trying to parody?

  • @sross108 I think by best band from LA, you mean Goatsnake

  • At 0:23 - riff from "I turned to stone" BUDGIE.

  • @chujeba i was about to write the same thing... Budgie is awesome...

lots of bands have actually been influenced by them, still no one really knows budgie that well...

most known example is probably "Red hot chilli peppers - all around the world"

  • Does it matter, this song is the shit, saw em in concert in Chicago. They were like Go pirate our music

  • What is this world coming to? I just discovered this band, and i really wish I hadn't. This band exists because they have familiar look and sound. Hey I have an idea, lets steal Rob Zombie, TurboNegro, and Ozzy's wardrobe and rip off Floyd & Sabbath's sound! Sounds like a commercial success to me!

  • @CountLeopold This song kind of sucks but Listen to an album, don't watch a commercially made video that's obviously, not directed by them... Guess what. Black sabbath isn't gonna be writing good new music any time soon. These guys are alive and kicking playing good original music. The singles are obviously super produced, but the albums are good OG stuff. I recommend you either check an album out.

  • @Rickles I guess if I were to listen to them, and not look at them, it may be more enjoyable. Since the music industry has changed so much, I like many, use youtube to preview new music before purchasing an album. I enjoy this style of music but would need to hear more of them. It's not the good all days of CD stores and promo discs anymore. Also, most bands seem to gain success based upon a gimmick, this video shows me just that. Doesn't mean they don't have talent, just commercial in nature.

  • Like Peter Steele Said..."More like Stink Floyd"

  • I saw those guys in Paris- they were doing the Prog Nation Tour with DT, Opeth and Unexpect.

After the (utterly awesome) show they delivered, and as I was heading back home with a couple of friends, I noticed four dandy-looking guys were struggling with French as they were trying to buy subway tickets. Nothing loath, we rushed towards their direction and helped them out. We took the sub together, and they cheerfully yelled at us when they went down. Great guys.

  • This is totally my genre.. But this song eats a dick.

  • shit

  • I love these guys saw them live and they blew the fucking roof off

  • lol just youtube searched my SN i had since 03" for any and all online games i play. And this is what i find! *Shocker*

What i expect but kool vid.lol

  • drummer is the worst out. they should also loose the crosses, such a cliche

  • They are a total mix of Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, and TurboNegro... Wierd...

  • @Dameon725 thats an odd combination... well the only part that makes it odd is the turbonegro part haha not sayin they're a bad band but still lol

  • @thygodofrock190 Tell me it totally doesn't make sense though haha.

  • @Devinci44 - Sounds absolutely nothing like ELP.

  • good lord they stole the begining from iron man, huge ozzy fans..same vocal effects and sound, and definatly pink floyd too. they need to try harder lol..i mean it doesnt sound band but damn

  • whot is that? orange amps comercial??

  • Ozzy wanna be education ripe off i duno kinda weird but ok i guess

  • mix between emerson lake and palmer and black sabbath.... BAD

  • These guys were great with porcupine tree last night.

  • I saw them in orlando too! It was a great show, although I like the madhatter better the way they did it live, this is great too

  • I was also at the Orlando 4/23 Porcupine Tree show. I have to admit I had low expectations going in for BE but was very impressed at the show. Miami must have had a terrible mix cause Orland was perfect. Both bands had amazing sound. Best of all, BigElf came outside after the show and were very receptive to their fans. I must have talked to them one on one for 20 min. Awesome bunch of guys and you either like this style of music or you dont.

  • Saw them in Orlando on 4/23 with PTree! Love the total analog sound. 70's rock RULES! Musicians actually had to be musical!

  • I saw yesterday in Miami, the worst sound I have suffered. It was disgusting, people around me with the hands over their ears. I felt sick. And this song, it is like another brick on the wall, as somebody said here.

  • we don't need no education,,,,,,,,, we don't need no thaught control,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, no dark sarcasm in the classroom

    that's what i heard in the beggining : )

  • Comment removed

  • check out 'the gravest show on earth' or 'counting sheep' i think youll like those better. they put on a fantastic live show, porcupine tree wouldnt choose to tour with them if they werent talented. theyve also toured with opeth, dream theater and mastodon to name a few... this is a good band, just very different

  • Great tune!

See also my latest BIGELF VIDEO!!! ;)

  • 3:16 ... is a epiphone sg 400 custom???

  • 3:16... is a epiphone sg custom???

  • i think is stupid to say that "they sound like pink floyd". They dont sound anything like pink floyd, you are saying that only beacuse of the first melody, which is an OBVIUS reference to The Wall. Thats not 'sounding like', thats quoting someone.

  • @tuben01 Well said. ...not quite a 'quote....' But, yea. Floyd and Porcupine tree are my favs, and these guys are opening for tree.... so I scoped them on you tube. This is a terrible song. Awful. I bet this band can do better, though. But this is absolutely wretched.

  • curti o som "sabbathico" progressivo.

  • i talk with them today :D

at the Shearaton Hotel. They are really cool guys

  • im gonna see them on sunday with DT

i just wonder why they open for DT if they are not much like them...

    dt should bring symphony x...

but hell yeah, this is pink sabbath, or black floyd.

i will check other songs, but very bad first impresion bigelves..

  • i think theyre gonna be opening for Porcupine Tree on their next American leg

  • I saw the with DT playing 2 days ago they are cool mike portnoy played with in this song!

  • This band ROCKS!

Saw them yesterday opening for DT and they kicked ass! and the singer with a Yoda toy by his keyboard!

  • yeah, me too. At Monterrey, Mexico. Great Band!! All my crew we are going to keep and eye at this band!!

  • @ajguillermo

    Afirmativo° estuvo conmadres°!

  • met them, they were at Prog Nation,

    really chill dudes,

    the ones from helsinki=fucking huge

  • awsome live :D

  • this band is probably the least original shit ive ever heard. nothing new they bring to the music industry, its all been done before, much better. its basically a sad attempt at trying to give homage to floyd and sabbath.

  • he looks like Mike Portnoy and sounds like a ...pink floyd...but still likes me

  • I mean i like 70's rock just as much as the rest of you and this band has the sound and style our industry needs!

But comon could have been more subtle with the melody and tone! Its practically plagiarism and almost a parody of itself! No?

Something that Weird Al Yankovich would do on Pink Sabbath..

Rock N Roll Evils however is great original song =D

  • It would be MUCH BETTER an organ solo...or a synth solo...or a keys solo.....not the same old guitar solo!!!!

  • @margix oh man. You should see em live! They had these crazy organ solos on every song including this one! they were brilliant!!

  • Interesting......

    I trust you :-)

  • I'm gonna see them la setmana vinent a Barnaaaa, por segunda vez este año!

  • I'm gonna see them TODAY :P in Amsterdam

  • i'm gonna see them TODAY :DDD

@FunFret he uses Orange, really good amps.

  • another iron man in the wall XD

  • it sounds like a combination of Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath!!

  • im gonna see them with DT on march...

  • @missghotica isn't their tour done?...

  • @chaveznieves prognation is done..but for the southamerican tour mike is going to bring an special guest. and that guest is bigelf

  • yo tambien :D

  • @BennyLadden genial

  • very entertaining 'cover' band

  • Black Floyd........Pink Sabbath

  • @moparmav i say Black Purple or Deep Sabbath

  • what amp is the guitarist using?

  • Wow!! Great job, rip off Sabbath riffs, the melody from Brick in the Wall, and even a part from Gel by Collective Soul, ahahaha. Like I wouldn't notice.

  • A Progressive Black Sabbath!

    Nice!

  • VERY PINK FLOYD and thats no bad thing!! love it!!! going to see them at the academy in manchester in february

  • hahaha it sounds like black sabbath in all sense :)

  • great band, nice music, I'm beginning to get addicted to some of their songs

  • Any band who plays through orange amps and gibson SG's is F'n sick in my oppinion

  • u suck!

  • I've been in to these guys since album one in 1996..good to see their popularity deservidly expanding.

  • i really like thiss band it's fuckin awesome!!!

  • theses guys have alot of pink floyd in alot of their songs

  • @Shadendehaan - Thats a good thing ain't it? :D.

  • "we dont need education..." :D

  • exactly!

  • the beginning of the song reminds me a song of pink floyd. but this is awesome

  • its supposed to

  • @MetallicaFran Reminds me of Crazy Train a bit, especially the laughing, heh.

  • Sounds like mix of Black Sabbath and King Crimson.

  • @WhiteDeathPL well they did play in progressive nation with dream theater, and scale the summit.

  • I know. I was on the show in Bydgoszcz, when they played with DT, Opeth and Unexpect.

  • music is good but he sounds like ozzy's solo stuff and it sucks balls

    .

  • sund like pink floyd- the wall

  • i met these guys when they were on the prog nation tour with Dream Theater, they were awesome live

  • the keyboard riff is the wall for sure, way too close

  • So is the singing... listen lol... *melodies* I dont need no...

They do need their own sound... not to mention they mildly resemble turbonegro

  • these guys dont have their own sound.

  • that beginning is pure fucking ozzy and then its like listening to the wall by pink floyd - THEY KICK ASS!!!

  • Americas answer to poofmother!

  • lol "I don't need nobody's help" sounds exactly like "I don't need no arms around me" from Another Brick In The Wall by Pink Floyd..

  • I really love this band but the only thing i don't like is, i think, they haven't found their own sound. They've only had mixed the sounds of others band they liked together.

  • this is only madness

    they're great

  • and so is how you said super ultra mega gay , but the way he trys t sing sounds like beatles singing and pink floyd so sounds cool but if you cant do it like the best dont do it at all

  • love this band...first song i ever heard from them..thanks to DT and prognation..they sound like a mix of black sabbath and pink floyd..nice...

  • Too many Black Sabbath posters on the walls.

  • great band! I know them better since Saturday :) they were on tour with DT and Opeth here in SL..

I love their music and their style!

  • We don't need no education

We dont need no thought control

It's the same lyrics on the opening verses! xD

  • exactly, totally pink floyd inspired

  • exactly sounds like there song cant remem song name

  • not the same lyrics... inspired by, same voice melody, but not the same lyrics.

  • BIGELF better than opeth

  • Comment removed

  • Dude, how can you compare them? they're totally different

  • really

  • I saw them and talk with jones (guitarist) in Rome...Good band.the play awsome live

  • Master Yoda on the keyboard!

  • This Band is AWESOME !!!!

i saw them in Frankfurt. They are like Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, and The Doors in one Band. Godlike

  • thats exactly my thoughts! they were definitely the best opening band in my opinion (us tour)

  • Does this band have ANY original ideas? Some how i dont think so...

  • sounds a bit like black sabbath

    but that isn't bad :)

  • I have seen BigElf in Frankfurt. Great band and with no doubt way better than Opeth.

  • I 've seen them in Frankfurt, too, bat in my opinion, Opeth is better than 'em

But Dream Theater was the best that evening^^

  • ya thats right i saw them in Porto 2 days ago and dream put on a great show!

  • How can you even compare the uncomparable?

  • Comment removed

  • There is no Dana... Only ZOOL!

  • this is kickass!!!! i love it

  • Yeah after seeing these guys at Prog Nation, I've started listening to them, ALOT. Opeth really weren't all they're made out to be, the most entertaining thing was the joke the singer made, and when the drummer came and played with Portnoy.

  • Yea, sort of Black Sabbath x Pink Floyd or somethin.. But nevertheless they're bad ass!!

  • HAHAHA! Exactly what i was thinking. the opening riff + the look sounded like IRON MAN. and the laught at the start. OZZY - Crazy Train? hahaha. and the first verses sounds like the verses in ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL.

Cool though. i don't think they're ripping them off or something. don't get me wrong :). i just think it's cool. It's probably their influences showing through their music.

  • this sounds like black sabbath a bit no?

  • Saw it at the Zenith of lille two, these guys are incredible. Best sound i've heard (apart from DT) for a long long time (way better than the other two groups, Unexpect and even Opeth.)

  • Better than Opeth? You gotta be fucking kidding.

  • Much, much better than Opeth I think.

  • i completly agree, was at the gig and Opeth was just all too much for me, amazing musicians but i just think they've combined metal and prog rock for the worse this time, Whereas Bigelf are just a nice twist on things that have already been done, and is very refreshing rather than abrasive!

  • I sax them too yesterday at zetih of Lille, With Dream theater, it was incredible....

  • Saw them yesterday on the progressive nation tour, in Lille. Best band I've see in ages, way better than the other on the PN.

  • gonna see them today!!! with Prog Nation also horay

  • 100% better live

  • Too bad that the mellotron didn't work. But nonetheless they were great last night!

  • Yes MAN

    also been to Düsseldorf tonight^^

  • sooo great performance in Düsseldorf on Prog Nation Tour!!

  • Listening to 0:21++ I thought they'd do a parody of "Another brick in the wall"....

I will see them in a few hours in Düsseldorf. I'm quite excited of the warm up bands for Dream Theater.... This sounded quite cool to me!

  • Dude me too

  • lol pink floyd and black sabbath much!!

im seeing them next weekend in wembley

should be awsome! i like them so far

  • Yeach, they kicked ass yesterday in Bydgoszcz!

    Really nice music :)

  • I saw them live yesterday in Poland, they rocked so hard! Great band, and they sound awesome live.

  • dali czadu ;]

  • "We don't need no educa--" I mean, " I don't need no body's help"

  • This band sounds like sabbath mixed with pink floyd. it's so unoriginal... I like them, though :p

gonna see them with DT and Opeth

  • saw them a month ago with DT :p absolutely amazing show. wish i could see em again and again. enjoy! :D

  • I promise you will be surprised on how good they are live!

  • i really hope so =D

  • sounds like sabbath

  • reminds me of early sabbath
