Either our nation elects Obama or at least the U.S.A., if not the whole world, goes to either Heaven or Hell in a hurry. So to all you confused people out there: watch Obama and Biden speak then watch McCain and Palin speak and then, WISE UP.
My hometown! I wasnt down there when he made that speech but I was down there earlier that day for the Convention... I strongly believe Obama is our next president
YES WE CAN!!! Barack Obama is charismatic and refreshingly inspirational each time he speaks...his ability to reach his audience is phenomenal...you can genuinely see his compassion for people...ALL PEOPLE. His global knowledge and humanitarian past began long before his bid for The Presidency...this is such a monumental time and we need to look past color and finally come to grips on who will be the most powerful leader for our country...and who will, deliver. IT'S TIME TO COME TOGETHER!!!
My God, If you vote against this man you vote against the very hope that may help save our communities! You have to atleast listen to what he has to say. McCain, has done nothing but try to make Obama look like a cartoon. He has not stated why "he" should be President of our great nation. But, Obama...Not only does he give you a reason...he backs it up. God Bless! Vote Obama in 08!
how does he back it up? theyre all just words. Mccain actually has a record in the senate and Obama keeps taking his Iraq strategies and gaining credit for it plus Obama has voted on many Mccain bills. Please change your perspective before you vote for 'change'
This is a Great Man, Leading us on a great journey. He needs our support. This speech and many others should be watched with the entire family in front of the tv. Just like a Tyler Perry's Madea movie. So go ahead download it, bootlegg it, spread this around so all could see. GOD bless America & Obama. Please protect him. Because right now I'd take a bullet for him if it meant my kids and the kids down the street and everyone in this counrty and everyone in this world would be in a better place.

The scary thing is on election day. How many scare tactic will be used at the polls. We need you to stand in line and not react to what might be said. Remember you are there to vote. Nothing more. Get your vote in and make sure your friends do so also.
So, you think that Middle class is under $100,000 and anyone over that is upper class?
$100,000 is not a lot of money especially when you loose 26% of a pay check before you get it, pay 8.75% sales tax on any item you purchase, not to include hidden taxes.
Your 100,00 is actually 68,437.00 after tax
Of course if you are poor and doing nothing, like getting an education to develope marketable skills, I guess $100,000 would be considered a lot, but not upper class. People, earn your own money.
I agree that 100 years ago, that blacks faced open racism and applaud all those brave men and women that faced down racism over the past century. But I disagree with Mr. Obama's economic rhetoric. The middle-class are already drained, up to 50% of their lives owned by the government. How far do we go - 75% in taxes? You can't drain the job creators and expect to keep your jobs. Uses the last part of his speech, for mentioning individual responsibility and efficacy. Better late than never!
right on bro, they don't believe employers will outsource their jobs or replace them with machines, they are naive, the cotton gin replaced negro slavery much more efficiently, replacing humans saves money
All the "books" (issues) that have been put away behind the shelf, no one ever bringing them out...and FINALLY, someone, this man, pulls those "books" out, dusts them off and puts them out there. Please everyone vote fot his man. We need him, families who are struggling need him.
It's amazing how people would say this man has no qualifications to lead America. I guess it takes qualifications to send a nation to war based on lies and corporate interest. How very sad our world is. These days, there is a demand for men who make wrong seem right.

It was nice to hear BO give a little lip service to the fact that we need to take care of the children we bring into the world. In my opinion this is the biggest struggle most families face, no dad, no hope.
I agree. NO ONE has been able to offer me an explanation of how Sen. Obama plans to FUND these grand ideas without costing me one more dime in taxes! I have asked MANY people this question. Some very bright people. NONE of them have been able to answer. Some have said "Well, once he ends the war, we'll have the money!" This is not correct. We have borrowed TONS of money from other countries. TONS. IF he could end the war, that money is going repay loans. VOTE SMART- NOT with some pipe dream.
"We have borrowed TONS of money from other countries." How are you going to blame Senator Obama for that? I'm sure if we give you enough time you'll come up with something. The same way others were given a chance to put this country in the worst shape I've seen in my life time, the same way Barack can get his opportunity to do what he can to attempt to put us in better shape. But, sounds to me like some would go down in flames than to give him the opportunity.
Windfall tax, new job market, closing loopholes for the Bush buddies, ending the war, releiving the tax burden on the middle class when drives the economy, etc. Question for you Mr. Pipedream. What's is McCains plan?
I rather vote for someone who talks about the typical ideals like universal healthcare, etc. than some 2nd bush(the worst president ever in U.S. History) who doesn't care if we "stay in war for a 100 years".
Obama is a world class orator and will be remembered as one of the greatest reformer of our days as people still talk of the Romans and Anthony's speech. People should vote for him as there is no one to match his ability, intelligence, his simplicity, humility and humbleness and among all common sense. Vote for Barrack
Agreed. Barack Obama is the best choice for our nation going forward. He can and will change this country by bridging the gap between black and white, poor and rich, young and old, democrat and republican!
What a wonderful speech! Thank you so much for being a leader that our young men and women (and adults) have been needing for quite some time. If Obama becomes the leader of our nation, imagine the benefits it will have on our youth - how proud they will be and hesitant to "mess up." As of now, he is the leader and benefiting our youth already.
PROUDLY supported and voted for HILLARY but in November I will close the curtain and vote for OBAMA. I cannot take or afford 4 more years of anything anywhere near or close to Bush policies.
Obama 08! hes all talk? he graduated from harvard in law practices, what did he do??? he went to work as a ommunity organizer for 10yrs. he could have worked in law and made all kinds of money.. .. .. instead he chose 2 work 4 people. thats not talk! thats ACTION!
I really really hope that he can wake up the American People to act for themselfes , for the future ! a great future . USA is a sleeping bear like the Russians ...said ....and imagine that there will be that power in the USA again , that got lost under Bush crap . Whoop their it is ! listen to that man and get into a proud future . Letargie ( maybe wrong written ) ...has become a US desease . SO change your country -- not only for you , .. for the whole world .
Dont expect miracles from Obama i really hope he wins and attempts his many policys but the american as a country and govermaent is more then a president each indivisual has to pull thier weight to make it a better place people who dont get an education and work hard will still be in the same place they are long after Obama has gone.
Thank you YOU TUBE for allowing us to see it all and not just the edited bayous of the national media. I do not know if America is ready for change, but knowing you are there helps bring it about. As a black American, I want white America to see that we too want to take our rightful place as educated equals in this nation.
We have a choice...to move forward & progress or move backward & stagnate. We, as a nation, are in trouble. These are perilous times. Personally, I believe God, himself, is telling us we MUST change our ways of doing things or we will destroy ourselves. In the Bible God ALWAYS sent someone with a message that set them apart from others who came before them. We must run the race with this man or ALL of us who are middle and lower income Americans will pay the greatest cost.
I have listened to many Obama speeches. I kept thinking I heard pretty good ones. But his rhetoric and his passion get stronger and stronger each time. I've heard these words. But the tenor and tone are bolder and more robust with each telling. Amazing. Amazing.
Who is wise? He that learns from everyone. Who is powerful? He that governs his passions. Who is rich? He that is content. Who is that? Nobody. ~Benjamin Franklin
I am an American abroad. I tell you the change in the way I am treated since Obama has been running for President has been amazing. People here are looking at us again as the country that can dream amazing dreams. Finally we did something right for a change. A gift form good deeds done. Please protect him from the crazies!
Obama's policies are great. I support them. I hope, that if and when he is elected and he has the opportunity to implement these policies, we won't find the American gov't. completely bankrupt, because Bush and this war in Iraq have bankrupted this country.
I am an Obama supporter - all the way. Everything he says is the truth. And we as supporters and citizens of this flawed, yet GREAT nation, need to hold Senator Obama and ALL politicians ACCOUNTABLE for what they "say" they are going "to do". That to me is REAL CHANGE.
Senator Obama gets my vote. I do wish he would reconsider on two isues. I wish he would be for offsshore oil drilling and letting Iraq's Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki set the timetable for troop withdrawals.
A news organization recently released IQ results, and his was 171--genius level. He's definitely extremely intelligent, by any measure. That is true whether or not you believe what he has to say.
as a wite man i understand that there's America & there's Blacks in America..Blacks hav only been "free" for like 30 years..WE need to accept that blacks r Americans too..the back bone to this wonderfull country WE live in..GodBlesss U all..Obama08
We live in a global economy. The idea of getting rid of NAFTA all together is primitive and naive. Discontinuing free trade would mean isolating America from Goods services as well as technology from other countries and would ultimately be a disaster to the progressive nature of the American economy. The problem is not with Nafta, the problem is with how American organizations abuse it in such a way that strips jobs from the American people. Don't believe everything you hear. Read a book
As far as I'm concerned, Barack Obama is already the President of the United States. I have never in my life thought about voting for anyone until this man came along. See ya' in November!
"but I'll come back to you next year at that anniversary. And I will stand before you as President of the United States of America. And at that moment, you and I will truly know that a new day has come..."
Those are some classic words right there brothers and sisters!!
What a speech. Pure true for the African American community. Responsibility!!! WE all have a responsibility for the progress of this country. Not only government help, well fare, compensation for slavery and hand out but hard work and sacrifice. God bless America.
Wow, one would hope someone running for president would speak of our soldiers like that. Those who faught for us, died for us, young men and women who sacrificed for our rights, etc...but, oh well, guess they don't count to this dolt.
He is are best chance of changing our country for the better. When the America people really need a leader, someone who cares for the people that make this country. Have you ever wondered why before George Bush leaves office, oil is at its highest price in history. He has always been a oil man. Its where his family made most of their money. And now he wants us to drill offshore for oil that we wont see for years after he is gone from office.
I am a true supporter of Barack Obama! I am proud to support him. I agree with his speech! He is soooo damn passionate!! I love it. Not too mention so damn fine!! A beautiful mind! I havent seen intensity to change America since MLK. And I wasnt even born when he was alive! Barack the ONLY CHOICE IN THIS ELECTION 08
He gives thanks to those in black history who made it possible for him to be where he is. However if he were making a speech on July 4th and talking about America's history, you wouldn't hear him give thanks to those who founded this great nation!
he just has that firepower that rallies us i pity the foo McCain he got none of that. i need to be getting me some registered so dat we can bring dat man and make the black house in time for the centenary
I feel so blessed to be in this country and witness history in the making. Obama is on the verge of reclaiming the dignity of America. The whole world is looking forward to this new day. God bless Obama!
Wow, I just had to pause the video and type down how glad am I to be alive at this moment in time to watch a leader like Barack Obama have to chance to become President of the United States of America. I believe there are better days ahead of us, I honestly do.
USer22c, i agree with you. America is lucky to have Obama. He"s the greatest. I am from rwanda, Went to school in The states and currently working in the USA. His speech gives me hope for better America and a better world. Please you guys vote for him.
i just watched a speech by Bush and McCain. To me, they just look like they are lying or they dont really care. Like they dont really want to be there dealing with the issues of the average hard working citizen. And then instead of taking responsibility themselves, they blame it on the democratic congress who've only been in power for two years. Vote Obama '08
maybe you should pay attention to more of his speeches. I'm sick of people who don't do their own research. You have over 1100 clips as reference you big dummy.
I don't think he said anything about the federal reserve. However, if you don't want to look at his website, the newest video (DC one) explains Iraq and Iran nicely or you can PM me. There is not enough room here to explain it.
women need to stop having kids just so they can collect child support, and men need to know that some women do this for a living. Title IV-D of the social security act gives states an incentive to break up families, check it out.
Come on brother keep talking about responsibility regardless of what Jessey and others might think. I am a conservative who admires you because of your responsibility talk not only from gov't but individuals as well.
Ever watch McCain Speeches?? My Lord he sure put me to sleep. Obama you are being watch all over the world. You are surely the insperation to all of us.
BarackObamadotcom is predjudice against certain Americans because they wont post certain comments, especially when Nothing wrong was said! still Obama 08, but its sad they want to be so controlling!
Did anyone see Obama's speech on CNN just now. It was terrific. He has some brilliant ideas about how to lead a country. McCain was just awful. Not a bad speaker, but all he did was criticize Obama's position on Iraq and talk more about Iraq, Iraq, Iraq. Nothing about the economy, unemployment, gas and food prices, just Iraq. CNN even cut him off while he was speaking.
Wow! I was seeking this video last night & was so disappointed that I couldn't find it. I am sooooo glad that it was finally posted for all of us to view. Great speech, Sen. Obama! Obama08!!
God bless Obama..im a future film maker(youtube: F2daD)..he makes me feel that anything is possable.."if we believe"..we need change..we'l get change..we'l have change if we move toward "Obama08"..Frankie.d
There is a lot of information on his NAFTA position if you look for it... I actually starting looking for you... instead, let me say, the information is out there and NAFTA would not be a useful conversation to this audience... he is addressing what this audience cares about... I hope someone else has the time to do the research for you or you take the real time to do the work yourself... God Bless, have a great day.
Politics as usual? did you listen to his speech? About changing priorities and refocussing on American interests like no one else has in >20 years. He has already said what his position on NAFTA is. Obama believes that NAFTA and its potential were oversold to the American people. Obama will work with the leaders of Canada and Mexico to fix NAFTA so that it works for American workers. That is straight from his policy statement on his website. People should do their own homework before they post.
You are apparently just as clueless as Obama (and his advisors) are. No, free-market (free-trade) means we are "free" from (so-called well-intended) gov't intervention. It is no accident that we are all screwed up by NAFTA (must say there is nothing so oxymoronic about gov't trying to run "free-trade"). So Obama's solution is to this whole NAFTA brouhaha is more gov't intervention. duh. This is nothing short of giving a mediocre student a A+ to motivate him to work harder; this is simply absurd.
See the problem, success2k, is education. People today get schooled but dont really get an education. Like for instance the simple case that NAFTA, is a FREE TRADE agreement. What economic system was used to enslave Africans
So why would any African American who outlines African American history in a way Mr. Obama does, glance over the glaring inconsistancy? Politics as usual anyone?
Barack Obama is charismatic and refreshingly inspirational each time he speaks...his ability to reach his audience is phenomenal...you can genuinely see his compassion for people...ALL PEOPLE.
His global knowledge and humanitarian past began long before his bid for The Presidency...this is such a monumental time and we need to look past color and finally come to grips on who will be the most powerful leader for our country...and who will deliver.
President Obama hit a home run!! He addressed everything and made his points clear. There should be no more questions as to where he stands. Imma smack ya momma if you don't vote OBAMA!!
Compare this speech to Bush's recent speeches. What a difference. We need a president who doesn't act like economic and social inequality is a thorn in his side. Even if they're just words, I'll take judgement over experience any day.
I got tears in my eyes at the end of the speech. It hit me suddenly that we have a great possibility among us. We as a country must take advantage of it.
my question is, when is the government and business going to step up their part. for example, i've got my education, but i've got to work for myself because it seems there aren't any jobs available for people like me. why is it that when i go to temp at citigroup, my supervisor is a russian who can barely speak english and requests that i help her with her english. yet she has a house in nj and gets tuition reimbursement to go to NYU. you think i'm worried about mexican immigration?? go figure!
Either our nation elects Obama or at least the U.S.A., if not the whole world, goes to either Heaven or Hell in a hurry. So to all you confused people out there: watch Obama and Biden speak then watch McCain and Palin speak and then, WISE UP.
Just an Opinion.

G.W. Bush's title as the "Dumbest U.S. President in history", might just be short-lived if John McCain is elected.
Bush made America a JOKE throughout the world! Leaders of other countries have actually laughed at him!
Look at John McCain and tell me he is any better!!!
McCain is even worse! Plus, he is 5 ft. 4 inches tall and old as hell!

Very ambitious plans Barry, but you have no money. You want to use the money from Iraq, but we all know that's part of the reason why we are in debt.
So you plan to use debt money to pay for all these plans. Your system will not sustain itself. It will fail.

Read a book

Have you ever wondered why before George Bush leaves office, oil is at its highest price in history. He has always been a oil man. Its where his family made most of their money. And now he wants us to drill offshore for oil that we wont see for years after he is gone from office.

So what IS Obama's position on NAFTA??? He's sounding more and more like politics as usual. :-(
blazak 3 years ago
There is a lot of information on his NAFTA position if you look for it... I actually starting looking for you... instead, let me say, the information is out there and NAFTA would not be a useful conversation to this audience... he is addressing what this audience cares about... I hope someone else has the time to do the research for you or you take the real time to do the work yourself... God Bless, have a great day.
SupaSistah 3 years ago
Hi position on Nafta is the same for all foreign trade. Our companies that send our jobs overseas will pay for it.
Urbanz1975 3 years ago
Politics as usual? did you listen to his speech? About changing priorities and refocussing on American interests like no one else has in >20 years. He has already said what his position on NAFTA is. Obama believes that NAFTA and its potential were oversold to the American people. Obama will work with the leaders of Canada and Mexico to fix NAFTA so that it works for American workers. That is straight from his policy statement on his website. People should do their own homework before they post.
success2k 3 years ago 6
You are apparently just as clueless as Obama (and his advisors) are. No, free-market (free-trade) means we are "free" from (so-called well-intended) gov't intervention. It is no accident that we are all screwed up by NAFTA (must say there is nothing so oxymoronic about gov't trying to run "free-trade"). So Obama's solution is to this whole NAFTA brouhaha is more gov't intervention. duh. This is nothing short of giving a mediocre student a A+ to motivate him to work harder; this is simply absurd.
tooltalk 3 years ago
See the problem, success2k, is education. People today get schooled but dont really get an education. Like for instance the simple case that NAFTA, is a FREE TRADE agreement. What economic system was used to enslave Africans
