I just love the post modernists who decry the progress of humanity while continuing to use the fruits of the carbon economy to promote the opposite. Reality seems to be not in their vocabulary. The planet and all its species are carbon based. Let's be the best stewards of that that we can be while utilizing it to the fullest rather than decrying it with failed ideologies.
ben i love you and appreciate your work. that said. i did my homework and there are other materials we can use to make things. but to make in what quantity without recycling - that is another story. I believe our hope for the future lies in the concept of zero waste - every nutrient and resource to be fully recycled using renewable energies powering electric motors. that is a realistic solution. we can get there if we make it our #1 priority and not war and all the money we spend on that

Anthropogenic global warming is a fraud - it's actually WORSE than the scientists said it would be! :)
(Sorry - didn't mean to startle anyone.)
I LOVE how there's always a group or YT video on practically any specific thing I've had in my mind. In this case: transitioning.
So, what do those of us do who are stuck in retirement communities (inherited house) & forced to drive to the nearest market?
