I had the honor of wearing the fur coat she has on. It was given to her by Arthur...let me tell you it is the softest thing I've ever touched. Gave me chills to wear it!

she looks so unhappy with him when you see her looking away or thinking... i know he must have been emotionally abusive, its the way he talks to her, points, even a photo of him grabbing a newspaper from her and talking to her as if in a lecture while they were in the backseat of their car.. she looked so sad, so inadequate.. like he just didnt see HER for who she was ... I think he tried to remake her, but she was already extremely smart.

I have to wonder if her lower weights were stress related and there by unhealthy weights.....

@miltsar : In 1959 and 1960 she was fat, she was again very beautiful in 1961 and 1962.

I never knew how she did 1960 Let's make love being so overweight! I think she looks awful in Let's make love , the shooting was in the first months of 1960

@foratti She was actually recovering from several miscarriages at the time, that and deep depresion but  in Marilyn style she continued on. I love the combination of she and Miller on page: one of the greatest play writes with one of the greatest versatile actresses in history = total excitement; however, she did seem relieved after their divorce, it seemed to be a new beginning for her as her radiance returned.

She doesn't look very happy in these photos nor are they very flattering to her. My guess is that this is from late 1959 just before she started work on Lets Make Love based on her physical appearance. Any idea as to when these were taken? Thanks for posting?
