Michelle your videos look really helpful, your english is very good which helps. I'm tying to find different ways of lesrning mandarin because my girlfriend is chinese, living in China and I am Australian. Being in a small town,there is really nowhere that offers Madarin courses for beginners. So I'm trying to find alternatives. I find it hard to pronounce the words/tones and structure sentences. I think I might have just found what I need,xie xie.
I am looking forward to the new lesson. Thanks. Maybe sometime you can cover colors as well as numbers? How about simple sentence structure? Again, thank you.

the word san(3) is used for both chinese and japanese

In mandarin (三) san is in the first tone though not the third.
