nice tutorial!

I was wondering why we need the frosting spray/marbles? is it so the jar is opaque? if so why not just buy an opaque jar in the first place?

@Du0312 Yep it's so the jar is opaque and filters the light. If you can buy your jar pre-frosted you won't need the spray or the marbles, but I couldn't find any frosted jars that I liked.

Do you spray the inside or the outside with frosting spray?

@EurekaEnterpriseUK we sprayed the outside with frosting spray. You can do it either way, but it's a little tricky getting an even coating when spraying the inside!

Where do you get the COLORED LED's?  I can only find the clear :( .

@BroncoFamily7 We could only find clear too. But you can cut out pieces of colored cellophane over the light to change it's color.

Hello. I saw your sun jars video and me and my friends are in this program at school were we can sell a product. I was thinking that it would be really cool to sell sun jars:D are they really hard to mass make them and how much would it cost to make? I live in the uk:p

@YesManF7W I'm not sure how much it would cost in the UK. I know our cost about $8 to make. I know Ikea sells some mason jars for really cheap so you could probably put some together for even cheaper!

kudos on keeping the solar panel innards together it has a more polished look.

in addition to the bar effect the tube also has a cone reflector to reflect the light outward.
