Just beautiful! You can still hear the polyphony of the 16th Century blended with the "new" Baroque style of individual voices accompanied by continuo. Dumont was born early enough to still have been hearing the "old" music along with what was being developed and brought back from Italy: he could the use the best of both styles. Exactly what Charpentier was going to do in the next generation. Thanks for this video!!!
