  • lol getting one for $300/usd with ssd and hybrid intercore

  • The SSD is a worthwhile investment.

  • This video concludes to me buying a m11x from Alienware/Dell for college.

  • @fd1193

That's with an SSD... that's a dam expensive hard drive.

  • Ah.. I see you have a tilted screen. Have you changed your LCD yet to the newly designed one? Btw, nice video.

  • why do the put the mouse pad in the middle and not to the right?

  • @warlockboyburns Because the computer is also lefthanded friendly :)

  • @elliotcool it would be good if you could slide it to either side

  • 36 seconds for a full startup @_@

  • @MyW0 and? if your really that picky about the damn start up time then keep it always on and always charging and then well see it fry like an egg in a couple of days..

  • @Anthony883 36 seconds with an SSD is abysmal. Pickiness has nothing to do with it. If you're gonna spend a grand on this and then another hundred on an upgrade, is it so wrong to want a fast boot time?

  • @SkullXII actually it was 25 seconds from the time he hit the power button

  • @MyW0 I'm a little late, haha but he starts the computer up at 0:11 so it's only a 25 second start up.

  • this computer is a boss! i want one soooo badly!

  • Wow that is fast!

  • mines better then all, cooler then all, bestest of the best of doom of all. You all noobs of terror against my m11x

  • @Razken89 shudap, lol.

  • Hi, im planning to buy this laptop very soon except the i7 version. i was wondering...is 80gbs enough for you? i would like to put an ssd into this machine but the price difference between an 80gb intel ssd and a 120gb corsair ssd is around 100 bucks. im hoping to put music (1-2gb) and a couple of movies (less than 30gb) is this enough space for a couple more games? should i save my money and get the 80gb or should i just suck it up and get the 120gb? btw im 14 so id have to bbsit for the 100lol

  • @whitekid1324 I would do a Vertex 2 120GB ... should be good to go.

  • Comment removed

  • @whitekid1324 I personally need at least 300 gigs for my music and games. GTA + Episodes from Liberty City alone are 30 gigs. How they got that onto a DVD for Xbox is beyond my understanding. A regular game collection takes a minimum of 160 gigs.

  • @whitekid1324 Save your money. The price of SSDs are dropping and will continue to drop.

  • sure wished alienware made a 13 inch laptop

  • What about the hinge issues, are these thing fixed?

  • @kalelg4 I never had a hinge issue with mine :], the only problem with my m11x is that the back lighting on my keyboard started to die after about 2 months of use; I can still see a faint dim red glow coming from the keyboard idk what happened lol XD!

  • @skaterpunkg7 If you call up alienware and complain and demand a technician they should send one over to fix it, like they did with me. Coz you can't be blamed for a gradual bulb failure :P

  • Laptops are for muppets

  • I am seriously thinking about getting one. But i need some orientation, Does this laptop is good only for games?, or it is good for working on it also, the thing is that is the only one with such good performance at 11", and i´m looking for a small laptop, for mobility, not a netbook.

Any advice would be really apreciated.

    Thx.

  • @kalelg4 I've been looking/researching it for awhile, and as long as you get good specs on the initial order, it can play games well. But you'll need to order an external DVD drive with it, and update the drivers/BIOS. (You can also overclock, search up a video for how to enable it and Turbo Speed for faster performance for games) It's estimated to get around 2-2.5 hours of gameplay (depending on your settings), with around 5 hours for just working with business/etc. (I believe on low settings).

  • Nice very quick! I want to get this with the original m11x processor the SU4100, Is it still decent? It will have the su4100 1.3ghz, 4gb ram, nvidia 1gb card, and 160gb hdd. Will it still run games nicely? Thank you!

  • @eRevoFTW ya i saw a vid of someone gtting 80 fps on mw2 with that exact setup.

  • It took 20 plus seconds...My mac can do that it boot camp a little faster..

  • @funnypanda97 can your mac run crysis and metro 2033?

  • @satanspy yup, i have a Mac pro... Way faster then an alienware m11x.

    16gbs of ram

    2 tb's of storage.

2 ati radeon 5770 at gddr5 and 1 gb, total of 2gb of vdram

You cant beat my mac xD

  • @funnypanda87 LOL my i7 930 will walk all over that Mac, anyways the point is can you run metro 2033? and crysis on enthusiast. im not an alienware fan either because people that buy prebuilt machines are as dumb as mac users.

  • @satanspy a mac pro has an i7 processor but it had been rebranded as an Intel Xeon so businesses will be attracted to it to us it as a server

  • @funnypanda97 U cant compare desktops with laptops.. in that case compare ur shitty mac pro to an alienware area 51 or aurora ALX.. Those will beat ur mac down to the ground.. plus they can run the games u cant! ^.^

  • @funnypanda97 you should had taken the M17x to compare with~

  • ehhh very expensive for just a fast start up

  • @shipsimulatorfreak Its not just for startup, lol.

  • @HazakyProductions True. its also the shut down :D

  • @AlienwareMetal Wrong, go educate urself a bit. Im not sure if ur just joking or ur actually plain stupid.

  • @HazakyProductions Hey you Tough Dumbass how about you quit your "Bad ass" attitude and learn how to appreciate a simple joke retard.

  • @AlienwareMetal Was it really woth replying after 1 month?

  • @HazakyProductions i mean im not gonna let myself get bitched up on youtube by a guy with no brain. if you tought i was serious, sorry but dont get mad like that over a comment rofl.

  • Too bad SSD drives are still rather expensive.

  • @LegendarySock Not really, can get a REALLY nce OCZ Vertex 100gig for like £220 now

  • @UnrealGlider

    Yeah, that's 300$ American. Besides, it's only 100GB.

  • @LegendarySock no its 345gb

  • Can someone please help?

I just bought my M11x, I plugged in the charger, an orange light came on under the power button, my assumption is that it started charging, then I hit the power button, the keyboard and everything lit up, but nothing came up on the screen, I tried everything I could think of, and still can't get it to come on, I even hit the power button where the keyboard lit up, and then left it for 4 hours to see if it would start.

    Someone please help. :(

  • @Overpoweredandbored Have You tried the shortcut to Screen in the keyboard??

    (FN - And F3 OR 4)

  • @Alsobreira No, but it's all fixed now, I called tech support and they had me open up the laptop and gave me step by step instructions to fix it, it was quite a cool experience. :)

  • Hey would you mind making a video on the alien sense program? thanks much

  • wow!@!

  • @morfin87467 they will be i think at sometime this month updating the processors for the current m11x from core 2 duo to like. i3/i5/i7...which is MUCH faster... so hold on cowboy, because they'll have even BETTER versions of the same thing. ( i want it reaaaally bad too.)

  • WOW impressive.

  • how long does this laptop live before you need a new one?

  • putting an ssd drive in here would really make a difference? does it help with gaming??? i dont know much about hardware im more of a software freak lol

  • @thanatos71209 8GB Ram vs SSD. SSD Will aways Speed Up Boot. and OS, including video games

  • getting to the hard drive isnt a pain is it? like removing keyboard popping off parts of the chassis like othe notebooks is it?

  • @KlingonSpider it is kind of a pain, since everything is so compact. But i wouldn't say its hair ripping.

  • lols...his icons on the bottom bar lag the startup and mine has normal sata isnt much slower, few seconds maybe 8 iguess lol, somehow the laptop rly starts up/reboot very fast

  • wow it's really fast!!!

  • a shame there is no esata else i'd def put an ssd in

  • i have this laptop its much faster after I installed my crucial ssd

  • @carbonunit Is the 256GB Solid State Drive worth the purchase?

  • @dabarrett96 I am using a 64gb crucial and yes its much more responsive with a SSD compared to the HDD it shipped with 256gb drives are too expensive now

  • WOW!! That's really fast!!!

  • Gotta love those who don't know what they're talking about.
