The problem is we heat our homes up in the winter yet within our warm home have our fridge keep it cold. It would be more economical to turn the fridge of and keep it outside in the winter.
Not that you won't save money, but what happens when one morning you wake up in a rush and forget to turn it back on? Then while your out to work during the day, all of your food spoils?
An easiler solution is just adjust the temperature setting.
Here is another alternative. Turn down your temperature setting (if it has one). Make sure though that no other products get above 2-3 Celsius for more than 4-6 hours.
By simply turning it off for the night (unless it is really cold to sustain the food at proper temp) your food spoils faster and it takes more energy and time to get it back up to temp.
The tortoise won the race by not sleeping and trying to catch back up. Same thing applies.
This works, true, I do this I actually purchased a timer that will turn the fridge on and off like he said. On during most of the day and off at night. If at a minimum you pay about $200 per year to run a fridge 24/7, you can estimate that you will pay almost half of that doing this, thats almost $10 off each bill per month along with the other things he's doing to save money. Its nice to see a thinking man and not another sheep bending over and spreading ass cheeks to the Energy Co.
you need your fridge on you idiot. Other wise have fun wasting money on your food that got wasted.

Or more conveniently install a timer switch so that the fridge turns its self on for only short periods over night as the fridge is not opened then.

Please think before posting these "hilarious" videos Gary.
Growing a beard doesn' t compensate for the hair you are loosing on your head. Give it up and write a book or something.

To further enhance your warm cheese sandwhiches, try them with some cucumber and lettuce on them. They are excellent on a warm cheese sandwhich.

YAY, Gary's back.
Those of you who don't get it are regrettably, and quite simply, mentally handicapped.

I liked this idea.
I am posting from my hospital bed.
My two points; are unrelated.
