Liv (age 2) would get patches of eczema in the same few spots, turned out to be how her dairy allergy shows up. It was more apparent once she was eating foods, I was able to journal and figure it out. Joe (age 4) has asthma, eczema, peanut/shellfish/dairy/soy/egg/corn/wheat allergies and wears glasses. He's such a happy boy you'd never know anything was up. Do your research, trust your instincts and it will all fall into place. I love you and those beautiful babies!!
Baby Zuri's going to be the strong one, b/c I think she's getting all her of ailments out of the way while she's young. ;-) Hang in there mama. Thanks for the sparkles. :)
i have twins and I am closer with the twin that was always sick than with the one that was healthy. They were born super early so I expected some complications but they are 9 and my "sickly" one is like my second shadow. Enjoy this bonding time, it's making and impression on Ms. Zuri. Good luck
Hi ashton had that problem when she was born with the dry patches. I used the aveeno...white and dark blue bottle for babies and it cleared it right up. Oh yeah and rub her down with vaseline as well. We don't use the baby lotions with the fragrance and stuff becuase it make it worst. So try pure vaseline on her after the bath. I just love your vids. I had sub to you for your hair and then I was like ....wow she has twins....I wanted twins when I was younger, but one is a handful. Ashton said hi
she is so cute. I knoe 2 other children who have the same eye problem, and it is only really noticeably when they r tired or have allergies. She is going to be very strong. I had so many issues similar to her when I was a baby. I even had braces on my legs like Forrest Gump LOL. Now I have the strength of ten mules in my legs LOL. U had me crackin up talking about "she couldn't close her eye fast enough.
@qochemist you know what Q, you might be right. She always ceases all her baby antics if she sees me holding up a camera of any sort. I can't even try and sneak with my phone...she has me figured out.
My niece would get bad rashes in the diaper area, then I bought her Aveno Baby Soothing Bath Treatment (you add to the bath and let the baby soak in). It cleared her up immediately and she loved in so much she didn't want bath time to end. Try looking into the Aveno Baby line for sensitive alternatives. The box says it's good for rashes, eczema, poison ivy/oak/sumac, insect bites, diaper rash, and chicken pox. Anyway, it's only 4 dollars at Target, it's really worth a try.
@swimfe STOP...I was just in CVS eyeing that stuff and really debating on trying it out. You just sold me on it, I definitely think its worth a try....thanks a BILLION for sharing your story with me... (((HUGS)))
omg she is sooooososososos cute...I love the way you are with her....Listen I have some issues with my babies as well..(grandbabies)..raising them...girl..they are my heart...that is all I can say..
I love these updates with you and the little ones! I don't have any children of my own, but when I see you with yours it makes me smile and dream about the day when I have my own. The love you have for them is so pure and true. Hopefully over time Baby Z's eye with strengthen. I will put you all in my prayers and just plead the blood of Jesus of you and yours family. May God continue to bless you and your beautiful daughters.
My daughter had the same issue w/ sensitive skin, I did the same as you and used the water + towel method (kept distilled bottle water and a few lil towel in the diaper bag for travel). And dig this.... she's 8 yrs old now and her skin is STILL extra sensitive so I only keep fragrance free no color soap on deck. Long story short: It is manageable, your baby will grow up and have a normal life. Your doing a GREAT JOB MOMMY :)
Hey, don't worry about the eye issue...it is DEFINITELY common. My little cousin had this issue for a while and she had to wear an eye patch in the evening...I would definitely go to a better eye doctor and find out what you can do when she is a bit older. My cousin is 5 years old now and her eyes are perfectly straight! Although the wavering eye can sometimes be super cute when they are young loll
Ur babies are perfect and thank u for sharing them with us. They r just beautiful little princesses... I actually like how her eye gives her a uniqueness about her even though she is a twin. As for the skin thing... A&D ointment might help with the rash and from an adult former eczema sufferer... dove and lubriderm worked well...
Keep the vids coming... ur kids are tooo cute not to share:) God bless!!
My daughter had/has baby eczema and I used castor oil for about 2 weeks and it went away. Whenever she starts to flare up I rub her down and it goes away.
My 10 yr old had baby eczema. I could only use Aveeno products. It resurfaced when he was 5 or 6 ( football started ). The grass caused a flare up and he's allergic to nickel (the button on jeans ). Broke out pretty badly. He's has learn to control it over the years. The Dr said he should grow out of it the older he gets. The baby Aveeno products or oatmeal products should work. Also you may have to change what you wash her clothes in. No dye or perfume. Both of the babies are gorgeous!
@darknlovely1127 wow...jean buttons...that's new to me. Yes, I think I will seriously try the Aveeno products, they come highly recommended. thank you, THANK YOU for the tip!

@Free6969 let me tell you, if you love babies than having your own will be the best thing in the world to you!!!! they hit a soft spot no one else can come close to.
you know what, i think baby b is beautiful. i cant stop looking at her cute face. both your daughters are perfect! i promise not to send my boyfriend this video of your babies cause he might call the authorities on me. i adore them! i love her face when you were moving your hands around, she was like "really, mom, really, calm down!"
@nicoleisthenewblack lol, thanks doll!!!!!!!! that's sweet. her sister is waaaaay more into my antics than she...Baby H laughs at all my jokes...but Baby Z, her laugh is more like "mom, you get an A for effort."
@mpenny226 lol...right...that would be great if i just don't have to say anything but then sometimes when i try to keep it moving, I feel bad cause i don't want to seem like a bitch..idk..lol
hey sis. My baby cousin had the same issue with her eye at birth so what my aunt did to improve the eye muscle was cover her strong eye for an hour every day. with one of those eye patches. And within a year her eye muscle become stronger. She is six now and the only time we can see the difference with one of her eyes are when she is staring at something really intently or she becomes tired. BTW my aunt is a nurse so she must know a little something something lol..
@tashnik You know, I really am considering the eye patch...my mom has been on me about trying it out. there's no harm in at least trying...thank you so much for sharing this with me!!!!!!
I am not a doctor or in the medical field at all but I saw a show in which a baby had trouble with one eye and a doctor recommended the parents put an eye patch on the good eye so that the "bad" eye would be forced to do more work and inevitably get stronger. Maybe you could ask the doctor about this if you haven't already? -- She is BEAUTIFUL regardless.
awwww...yeah aveeno works and eucerin my daughter had some dry patches all up and down her legs...that helped with her...im glad all that stuff aint holdin baby z down
My daughter had sensitive skin and I opted for clothe diapers at home. And I cleaned her with a warm wash cloth - water and aloe. I also washed her with very natural products as well. Ms Zuri is going to truly be an ''all natural girl'. ..!!!
My son had that also for the first few months and lotions actually irritate it as you said its trial and error sometimes a little aveeno would help so I suggest that ... also I would just wash my son with water no soaps and then once the poop was off put him in the tub with plain water so thats good now he doesnt have skin issues at all or dryness its just that newborns have very delicate skin dont worry!
yeah every case of eczema is different. i had it as a baby all over. then here and there until i was about 13. it completely stopped until now (i'm 21) and i found a random breakout on my arm. *___* as a kid i was prescribed steroid creams for the serious stuff (aka my face) but i've found for the other places that aren't as big a deal, i use natural cocoa butter or something and that soothed the itching.
@spicyeve wow...it's crazy how it just laid dormant in your system...maybe it won't flair up as bad. thank your so much for sharing your experience with me!!!
My youngest daughter had the same skin issue. It took us a while to figure it out. Even today her skin is still sensitive. She's 18 now. We couldn't use baby powder or anything. She had to wear cloth diapers. Bless her heart!
I used Aveeno diaper cream on my baby's bum. Before that I tried them all and Aveeno was the only cream that worked. My baby has eczema too and it still flares up at times. The only thing that worked then and now is a thin layer of cortisone cream which was prescribed by her doctor. I never used conventional products on her much as Johnson's etc., those products have dyes and perfumes that irritate the skin. I hope you little one feels better soon. :)
@lovmylocs hMMMhmmm....maybe I will try the Aveeno...yea, I think I will! She goes to the doc in a few weeks...it's not too bad now but I don't want it to get any worse...thank you so much for sharing!!!!!
you are such a great mommy for really tackling all of her skin issues! My daughter and I both have eczema and sensitive skin-- and it is trial and error. We just treat is like an allergy and reduce the amount of chemicals in the environment (including SLS in "baby" washes, shampoos, etc). Good luck!!
Keep the baby vids coming, def love seeing and hearing the babies laff n talk! I also have twins n my baby a was always in the er, it's going to be okay, your a good mommie no them babies gonna be just fine.
I say her eye is nothing to worry yourself over, she's still gorgeous. As far as the eczema, my nephew has it. It's kept under control by keeping him moisturized at all times. His folks like this product by Eucerin with the consistency of Vaseline. It really works.
i have twins and i had problems with just one of them. First twin b took all of twin A's blood at birth. So twin A had to have a blood transfusion. awwww =( so is corrective surgery something that you will be considering in the future? and she reminds me of myself when i was younger. i have sensitive skin and i had that same problem with dry skin.
@PrettiBoiShai I probably will most likely have the surgery done...although I have a feeling it will get stronger on its own despite what the doctors say

@PrettiBoiShai I probably will most likely have the surgery done...although I have a feeling it will get stronger on its own despite what the doctors say
