Then the Pillar of Autumn was the last UNSC on Reach. They escaped but then was attacked by halo. They launched a pod with the last survivors.

Reach was just about the fall of the planet and the struggle that the team had on the planet. The last we saw of Master Chief (up to date in the halo game) was at the end of Halo 3 when Master Chief went into chyrosleep (and in the legendary cut scene was seen floating towards a planet in chyro) The fall of the planet Reach takes place before Halo 2.
It would be great if it included Reach, but, since this video was made in 2009, there was no way to include the cinematics from that part of the series. But, beyond that, great storyline.

The term was used correctly. From a historical perspective his use of the word is correct, it is the studies of culture narratives and beliefs of a era, that includes religion. While Bungie pulls from mostly Greek mythology, they do include bits of Christian mythology. If this game referenced some ancient dead religion say the original Greek Gods, no one would care. The fact that they pull from texts of some still in practice, bias shows from posters. Got to love human nature.

@SixBreed2 Alot of the stuff from Halo are bible refences belive it or not. mostly from the Christian Old Testament and the Jewish Torah.
Covenant- refering to belivers, the Arc- refering to Noah's arc, the FLOOD- refering to the great flood which god used to wipe the earth clean and so that those on the Arc could repopulate the world.
The name Halo itself is a reference to the bright rings above angels' heads.
