  • I must say i was expecting another "IM GROOWWWINNG LEGGSSS" at the end after that sigh, would of been just pastry

  • Everytime I hear this song I can't help but think of The Spider and the Lamps.

I'm the spider, crawl inside her. c:

  • @dntTrustAho max used the line from this song and that. both are great!

  • @winnders Grow up dude not everything is about fucking. Why does it matter anyways? Its a great song.

  • good song.

  • I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this isn't about sex at all. It's about a relationship where you see yourself as poisonous, cheap and all around lowly. And you look at this wonderful person who you feel as though you're preying upon and see that they're just tired. It makes you want to do whatever you can to help them rest, even if you are just a creepy little spider.

I also think the whole "crawl inside her" thing is just about existing in her life.

  • Peter Parker plays this song to get chicks interested.... (get it, get it?)

  • Why is there over four minutes of silence after the song ends?

  • Are you smart enough

And small enough to play this game?

I love this song. It's about turning into what he hates, hence "I am the spider"

He's playing the silly mind games like everyone, waiting 3 days to call, playing hard to get.

"I am too cool to call you, far too stoned to leave my bed. I write this song to win your kiss, but I fall to sleep instead"

  • fuck ya...smokin blunts, drinking cheap 40s...and listening to this shit...amazing night, considering the obvious.

  • lyrics = fucking amazing.

    this guy is great

  • i think its a little deeper than just sex....maybe crawling inside her possibly means psychologically

  • oh and btw, i think we all realise at this stage that the chorus is about sex! it really isnt that hard a metaphor to decipher guys :P

  • @Winnders It's not about sex, but rather something a little deeper. It's a metaphor, fool!

  • @kavvee Very witty of you. I approve hehe. (Isn't it great getting seals of approval from total strangers?)

  • personally, this is a song about how shit he is in a relationship. when the girl wants him to actually bring her out and do couple-y things "promises, i have med them before and broken them" he "stay(s) asleep instead". she begins to become infatuated with him "im creeping up your veins" but he puts on a hard-to-get charade. when he is with her he begins to fall for her "i better watch my back around you" but inevitably it will end in sex and not an actual relationship

  • @123121s1 Assssssssssssssssss!

  • I think he's the spider.

  • i still havent gotten the message of the song

  • @deffcy54 He's a spider.

  • this song is about sex too

  • @EVILONE225 You're gay lol

  • Uhm..

    Max Bemis...is...so...sexy.

    Nomnomnom.

  • i live in the philippines and they are quite well known here. so yeah id have to say they are pretty famous. my cousins in hong kong listen to them as well. they are international

  • shushh<3

  • What if Pinnochio said that his nose would grow?O.o

  • @freethefight Two words: spontaneous combustion

  • @RicanPride805 Boom... hahahahaha I was actually just referring to the Pinocchio Paradox but I enjoyed your comment hahahaha thanks for that.

  • @B1tchN1gg3r or "A Walk Through Hell"

  • Maz Bemise is amazing.

Say anything is my favorite band.

    For songs like these.

    Period.

  • I like that picture. I think Pinnochio was watching porn lol

  • @lna1102 Well he can't lie about it...

  • @Zimpan XD totally made my night

  • @Zimpan he can lie about it :P

  • @MexicanPunkJackass He certainly can. But the evidence of it being a lie is kinda obvious.. Don't you think?

  • @Zimpan Yea. haha that sucks for him i guess

  • @Zimpan dickslol

  • People seem to forget that SA write music based on experiences. Max back when he wrote this is not the same as Max now. He's gone through drug use (I think), relationships and more. The music can change as a result.

  • @vivalandan009 I guess just because I love having my own little band that only a few people know, when they have true meaning to their songs... I guess I'm worried they'd become sellouts if they got big? And, well said @sunstripe31 .

  • this song makes my third leg grow.

  • I'll never understand why people get mad when a somewhat-unknown band that they like becomes liked by more people. It's great for the band, you all should be happy.

  • @JennaTheAngel it's because a lot of the times, the band can't help but change. Hollywood has an effect on them that changes who they are. Examplee: nevershoutnever was my favorite band a year ago & when he became known he totally changed. It's happened to a lot of great bands, I don't want that to happen to SA.

  • anyone who thinks this band is emo is a fool, emo is rites of spring. this is good, lets leave it at that

  • Awesome song<3! Stop arguing and listen to it :)

  • who cares if they get popular, everyone is aloud to like something, not just some people.

  • does it matter? I mean one of thier albums is called defense of the genre who cares if they are emo r not they are a kick ass band

  • look up the acoustic ep version of this

  • ok guys dont be too hasty emo is a strong word

  • SA is no where close to being an emo band

  • Actually Say anything is entitled to being a genre of emo. And Max also says so himself in an interview he made for some punk/rock magazine. But who the fuck cares? It's still the best band on earth. I think the poetry/lyrics gets alot deeper with emotional and alot more interesting. So fuck the other bands who doesn't give a shit about emotional lyrics. They're just bunch another fucked up douches.

  • @Zimpan its not the other bands being a douchebag young one its the singers interest and ability to write lyrics some are better then others say anything is like the third eye blind of the 2000s

  • say anything is no where close to emo. faggot.

  • I must respectfully disagree, though your assessment is not entirely inaccurate. The music is neurotic to the extreme, but not emo. Emo is mopey and gushy. Say Anything is misanthropic and borderline nihilistic.

  • Yeah totally. I actually think that their best album is a demo they made back in 2002 i think. And my favorite song with them is "But a fleeting illness".

  • @Zimpan She got away from junior varsity is great too

  • @Nylonnoodle No doubt (y)

  • @Zimpan whats up with the "(y)"

  • @Nylonnoodle It's thumbs up (y)

  • @Zimpan i dont get it LOL i dont see and thumbs up in that

  • @KrunkTwinz Write "(y)" in msn and you'll see =)

  • @KrunkTwinz

    thumbs up!

  • my friend got this album for me and i love every single song on it!

  • I love say anything, and the day they get really popular and everyone knows who they are i will cry! They are my favorite! <333

  • I agree!

  • Comment removed

  • @kashr118 Dont worry about it cause they r getting sucky lately. and y's it matter if other people like them?

  • @kashr118 what are you talking about they are already famous right i mean there amazing

  • @kashr118 You act as if they haven't been sickeningly popular for years...

  • @kashr118 they're already really well known

    start crying

  • @kashr118 Why wouldn't you want the band you love to become popular and they can get the critical acclaim they deserve? It sounds like you want to keep your underground superiority complex intact at the expense of the popularity Say Anything deserve.

  • i love how he sighs in the end :DD

  • You people want to know what I think?

I think that you're all wasting precious time arguing about music... Just listen to it! This song is amazing.

  • @4leafmetal i think your wasting your time having an opinion.

  • @Binochy77 Even someone as ignorant as you has an opinion.

    Get over it.

  • I get all my cds from the library

I'm short on money and can't afford to buy all the cds of my favorite bands

just because i have it in a compact removable file, doesnt mean I don't have it just because I don't have a cd in my posession

fans are fans, whether they have the cd or not

its what they like and they shouldn't be blamed for that

  • hardcorekips YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN.

    haha

  • hahaha Mae shut up you just like rubbing it in my face that you own your cds....plus your cds that are in my room...

    >8D

    haha

  • you can call yourself a fan, but i think true fans want to give something back to the artists they really like.

i think if you wait a little, cut some spending or try to make some extra money to buy a cd you'll appreciate it more. it's not that the artist's existance depends on your buying but they worked on the cd, spend thoughts and time and if you don't pay for it, it's just stealing in disregard for their work.

  • i have to admit that i don't buy every album i own. i do that library thing from time to time like you do, but i buy originals when i really care about the band. i prefer buying cds from independent bands or bands which are not that famous because they really need the support unlike big established bands.

i thinks it's just sad that some bands have so many "fans" but they still cannot live from their music

  • ya I can relate to that. I want to buy more cds one day but usually if I buy a cd, its one thats harder to find and not in every music store out there

  • Most bands don't care if you buy the album or not. If you're going to shows they play its a lot more appreciated.

  • just sayin, this is the most retarded thing ive evr read, owening a cd doesnt make u a better fan, there r those who go out and buy the cd's they love and go to every concert, but there r those who cant, the y turn the radio up everytime there song comes up and beg there friends to put the cd in the radio, they love it just as much, i know i do

  • thats not exactly what i meant. i'm saying that in my opinion, you're not a fan if you download a band's music illegally. you can be a fan without buying cds, but stealing them is the exact opposite direction.

it depends on how you define the term "fan". to me it's not a person who likes the music, but downloads the songs illegally. it's someone who treats the artist's work with more respect and gives something back.

it's ok if you don't agree, but keep your insults to yourself

  • thanks for that

but there are some broke ass niggas out in the real world

  • ....

I must admit, I've never seen a boner with nostrils.

  • It's supposed to be a trick thing dumbass.

  • The ends of their songs are always epic. Shit. <3

  • I love this song!

  • Its a pinochio reference.

  • I saw Razia's Shadow preformed last thursday, the venue was rather small and not many people came. My friend and I were against the stage[there was no barricade] and i got a look/took a picture of the set list taped on an amp. "the spider and the lamps" was written as "spidersong" on the set list. seemed kind of cool to me.

  • That's fawesome. I wish Brendon, Max and Shawn would tour with the rest of Forgive Durden- They're just such great characters! The keyboardist that they have singing for Dr. Dumaya is QUITE good though. he looks all tiny and awkward when he's sitting back and playing the rest of the show-and then he gets up and starts cackling-I was blown away. I got pictures with Paul, Thomas, and him when they came to town a few weeks ago.

  • same. In may I went to Razia's Shadow Live. No Barricade. I touched Thomas and I loved it. It wasn't the same without Max, Chris, Shawn, Brendan, Greta and others though.

  • I love the reference to this song when he actually is a spider in Razia's Shadow. :D

  • its pinocio's wooden nose... duh.

  • You've got those tired eyes....all the time

  • I love this song!!

  • what does my comment say that got -6 thumbs on it?i cant view it and idk what i said :/ but i love this song tho so im sure someone just did something stupid :/

  • Comment removed

  • that branch looks like a demented elf cock .

  • dude... i think its a nose that grew because someone lied.. idk someone correct me...

  • then again, its an elf cock

  • no i agree with Fueledbyloveandramen. hence why it may be called ...is a real boy. pinnochio. lies, nose grows.

  • this is aweeessoooooooomeeee!!! x)

  • U forgot to add Alive with the glory of love and Admit !!! From ...Is A Real Boy ofcourse.

  • if you ever hear the demo of this from the florida songs, the ending has another couple sentences to it

  • I love how Max also sings about his drug problem. Such I shame I don't know him personally, he probably could teach me something about it.

Great song, all songs of Say Anything are!

  • Oh my god that's crazy! Lol I love Razia's Shadow. Silly Say Anything singer, leading cherubs to ruin... <3

  • My favvvorite Say Anything song, ahaha.

Makes me happy everytime I hear it<3

  • this song is always in my head i love it!

  • same,..

  • same also!

  • They use "I'm the spider, crawl inside her" in a song from Razia's Shadow (:

It's cool though because Max Bemis is in it :D

Anyone who doesnt know Razia's Shadow and loves Max Bemis needs to hear him in it, he's AMAZING.

He sings The Spider and the Lamps.

  • i'm growing feet.

but it's so amazing. i can't fuckin stop listening to it..

    rofl. ILYSFM SAY ANYTHING.

  • Does anyone know where I could download this song, and "spores" for free? Instead of Limewire or any other things like that?

  • Get the CD from the library, rip it to your computer. :)

  • if you were a true fan of the band you would pay for their CD, not rip the music.

  • Not really. I'm just as good of a fan as anyone who buys the CD. If I can honestly say I like every single song of theirs, I'm a fan. :)

  • oh big deal

if your a true fan you'll do whatever it takes to get it.

  • i think Fatalerror300 is right. even if you say you like every single one of their songs. what happens when you get old... you forget about them unless you keep cds haha (thats why i buy). unlike ripping or downloading it illegally.

  • why is this negitve?

  • say anything rawkx

  • Oh I feel you baby!

  • i like how half of the video is silence lol great song though

  • favouritttte say ennythang song man

    fucking awesome

  • LOL they are saying that they have opinions... although they are retarded ones

  • and get the metaphor his lyrics have meanings whether you can understand it or not stick to your fapping to pictures of mudkips.

  • Woah woah woah.... What the hell, why did you have to bring mudkip into this? Mudkip didn't do anything wrong to you.

  • I know he's fapping to it I'm sorry

  • lol i never actually read it

  • isn't mudkip a Pokemon?

  • SO I HURD YOU LIEK MUDKIPZ

  • And yes.

  • Yes

  • @freakshowpop think about it, its in my opinion about sex. He's lazy when he sees this girl and grows legs and 'crawls inside her' in lame mans terms he fucks her.

  • zahmigah... I love you for uploading this, thank you.

I have the CD but I haven't been able to find this song on the internet.

It's a damn shame, such a great song.

    [x]melanieinuyasha

  • Hehe, Np. I'm going to upload all their songs when i got my computer fixed. =)

  • by far their best song

  • They never wrote an ablum titled 'is a boy'. It's '...Is a Real Boy'.

And they're a fantastic band, no matter how much you dont like their other music.

    [x]melanieinuyasha

  • is a real boy is probably my favorite, but you're right, they have other good music too.

  • Found this by accident!can anyone tell me about this band, what's their nationality?

Interesting lyrics too - reminds me of the BLINK182 song "miss you". Thanks for posting.

  • They're American..

This is off of their second-last album, "...Is a Real Boy"

and they have a new one called "In Defense of the Genre" I believe.

  • <33333

  • I love this song.

    Haha.

Its kinda morbid in a way, but I love it.

  • dude actually this song is really good, i love this band so much but like no one knows about them! they are amazing!!

  • i'm glad they've stayed off of the radio because the radio ruins a lot of songs

  • i dont think that radio and exposure ruins music

  • i dont think that radio and exposure ruins music
