A Small Station On The Shotts Line, Cleland, Frequently Has A Class 66 Pass Through Heading To Longannet Power Station From Hunterston. It Also Passes Through Holytown Were You'll Also Catch A Few Virgin Class 390 Pendolino's Passing :)
@321loverdesirohater There are a lot of rail enthusiasts who hate them.. mainly because they have taken over from the British classics like the C37, 46, 55 etc. But I guess thats progress for you & the C66 so far has been very reliable. Pity its not a British train...
nah .. it was early morning the 1st 66 was from my local station i was gettin a train from there to where i was going and last clip was from my local station also cos i passed that 66 on my commuter train
You may aswell have jumped on the intermodal train at 2:58 it was going so slow, who knows, you could have got a free trip to carlisle or something lol
get the lanark train (from glasgow central low level) every 30 mins .then get the 137 bus from lanark bus station (its right next door to train station) costs £1.90 and takes around 15 mins there a bus stop right outside the station .. and going back as easy
doesn`t get much better than a freighted 66

PerryMason5410 2 years ago
hillington west and carstairs.
the best place for freight is whifflet railway station . carstairs can be good at certain times
coatbridge central is also good but whifflet is no1 place for freight in scotland

3:12 :-O That is an enormous train WOW! I didn't think trains could be that long in this country, I thought they could only be that long in america.

Why do they use diesel locos instead of an electric one?
cortexedge 3 years ago
there is many non electrified lines still so diesel is best so it can go anywhere
