The problems i have with this wheel is like he said the pedals are to close together which forces your to sit with your knees almost touching. I dont think logitech realised that most of the people buying this wheel are men not women. And if you sit with your legs apart it strains both your ankles. The other problem I have is with the pedals again (the wheel is perfect) and its the brake pedal of course. Its feels broken because when you hit the brakes the first half bit of braking is easy to p
g27 is not like the g25 since the sequential gear shifter is gone and i do like that option available... and its alot more expensive than the DFGT, so im getting what suits best for my budget, and that works best with my sims/games, and for my pleasure.

and about the loudness, it kinda depends on your driving style, if when you drive you often make hard turns, and spin the wheel from side to side very fast, than of course it will be loud, but since this IS a force feedback wheel, there's no way it will be 100% quiet, so i'd say its not that loud, but if you take your volume to medium, you wont hear it.
Hes right about the pedals, just got my wheel today, found some decent quick mods with bungie cord really helps when you want to rest you foot on the break, thinking about doing the same for the throttle, just google logitech driving force gt and bungie mod, The wheel is amazing no doubt about it and with 3rd party pedals like the ones from fanatic would be amazing if you only PC sim race, you have to use the pedals that came with wheel for ps3 8(

The dfgt is really the best you can get for the price, I know, I know there is the g25 + g27. but they are 300 or 400 bucks. this is 120 bucks. This is still a great wheel, and it works for all driving games other than the 50$ ones that are a piece of crap.

I appreciate the review. It helped me understand that the brand new one I received is defective. Mine has some play in it that makes driving in a straight line nearly impossible, The force feedback clicks and slips(?) giving an overall horrible feel. Also the brake pedal sticks down. Best thing going for my set is the sequential shifter... since it does work.

This is a good wheel untill i brought the G27 Its feels alot smoother with the dual force feed back.. and quite. The GT4 wheel is good if you are buying a cheep wheel.

Completely agree with your guys' views on the pedals. Yeah, they're horrible, but worth living with because the wheel itself is so damn good. If You could hook up the pedals from a G25/G27, I think it would be one of the best wheels out there, even today.

@favianutube It was developed for both and marketed for the PS3.. Check the Logitech website and see that they have a driver supporting full compatibility on the PC.. Also works great on the PS3

Using it with Dirt 2 (takes a registry tweak), and it's amazing. Using this on a big HDTV and an AK rocker gaming chair, with the hood view of the car... makes me feel like I'm driving.
Im thinking of getting this wheel because my Thrustmasters wheel for the PC has basically stopped working properly and ive found it quite cheap at £70 ($ 110) so is it worth it or should i go for a different wheel
my dfgt broke once, so i got a new one and it ad the same problems from new, the wheel felt like it was going to snap, it felt like it was skipping gears or something, it was off center for some reason, and when you stopped mid-game the wheel moved on it own and it sounded really dodgy, has anyone else experienced any of these with a dfgt?
I've seen and liked Fanatec wheels very much. Plus, I want the 3-system support. What undeniably sucks is Fanatec's limited releases of these wheels, either way.
I'd go with Logitech because of availability, and well, they're Logitech, but even after GT5 hits I can't be without Forza. :-|

well, it has a really good built quality...
i think that the pedals could be better, but they are pretty fine.
the shifter is ok, the knob is really high quality.
the wheel itself is extremely beautiful! and its quality is very good!
so far i played TDU1, TDU2, LFS, GRID and the wheel performed extremely well.
i just ordered a modified (add-on) paddle shifters for it off ebay, so, its one of the best wheels ive ever had...
overall, for the price, you get more than you pay with it :)

Completely agree with your guys' views on the pedals. Yeah, they're horrible, but worth living with because the wheel itself is so damn good. If You could hook up the pedals from a G25/G27, I think it would be one of the best wheels out there, even today.
By the way, have you guys reviewed the Wheel Stand Pro?

Got one Since last Saturday, and since yesterday the Force Feedback Engine is broken.... wrote a mail to Logitech 2 days ago, still no answer... tomorow i gonna call these idiots... i Mean WTF, BROKEN AFTER 5 DAYS????
ThE first 4 days it was an Awesome Whee,l, awesome feeling, and at the 5th day the pedals and the force feedback broke.... Fucking Bullshit

This dude is fucking dumb, he actually think that this wheel is for the PC? It's a PS3 wheel BUT you can plug it in to your PC. Gran Turismo is a PlayStation game, not a PC game retard.

If this wheel was developed specifically for PS3 why would you use it on pc, knowing it would be lacking some of the features? Seems like you'd get a bad impression of the features of the wheel since it is being improperly used.

@favianutube It was developed for both and marketed for the PS3.. Check the Logitech website and see that they have a driver supporting full compatibility on the PC.. Also works great on the PS3

@simracingtonight that wasn't the point favianutube was making. the point is, this wheel was designed SPECIFICALLY for PS3. Logitech then released softwares so that it can be played on PCs as well. Yet in your review, you were complaining about features not working on PC. Well, no shit, it wasn't designed for PC.

@simracingtonight lol preferred wheel for PC??? yea for cheap noobs...its a console whore all day telling by its lack of design and shifter mounted on dash. everyone knows G25/27 and Farrari are the preferred wheels for PC. this is a P.O.S that is also compatable with PC games. o and he just said "shame for using the wheel" I heard no prefrence of system LOL!!! then he wants compatability for a PC so he can fully utilize some shitty paddle/sequential shifting...n00b....6 speed gearbox FTW!

@gunblade1499 At the time of this airing, yes.. It still is a good wheel that drivers can be very fast with.. I love it when we're called "noobs".. We know of many top notch "alien" drivers that still use the DFGT with a separate pedal set..
Tell ya what.. Im not even the one that did this review and I can bet I can beat you with a DFGT I have here while you shift that 6 speed.. Hit us up anytime for the challenge.. Pick your software and we'll race..

This wheel costs 600 Reais or around 350 dollars here in Brazil, the G25 costs over 500 hundred dollars. You guys are so lucky. Im feeling jealous. I hate taxes.

Thanks for this review. It convinced me to buy it to use with the PC, and boy am I glad I did. This wheel is amazing.
Using it with Dirt 2 (takes a registry tweak), and it's amazing. Using this on a big HDTV and an AK rocker gaming chair, with the hood view of the car... makes me feel like I'm driving.

Im thinking of getting this wheel because my Thrustmasters wheel for the PC has basically stopped working properly and ive found it quite cheap at £70 ($ 110) so is it worth it or should i go for a different wheel

my dfgt broke once, so i got a new one and it ad the same problems from new, the wheel felt like it was going to snap, it felt like it was skipping gears or something, it was off center for some reason, and when you stopped mid-game the wheel moved on it own and it sounded really dodgy, has anyone else experienced any of these with a dfgt?

I've seen and liked Fanatec wheels very much. Plus, I want the 3-system support. What undeniably sucks is Fanatec's limited releases of these wheels, either way.
I'd go with Logitech because of availability, and well, they're Logitech, but even after GT5 hits I can't be without Forza. :-|

got the wheel today,very happy clamps are great easy to tighten or remove.just need to improve my driving.installation was easy,only draw back for me is the cables but there nice and long....

hi ive just orderd this wheel for my ps3.how do the clamps hook on your table do they slide on and you tighten them or do you hae to fix it to a table perminatly.i have a metal comp table i want to use would it be ok to hook up on that and remove it if i need to thanks

1: only reason *it is compatible with 3 systems, PC, PS2, and PS3* (though that proves to be a very convenient)
