As DNA testing didn't exist back then, had the Empress met with the claimant, she would have had the final say of the woman's identity.

this woman is awful! either she was crazy and did not know she was not anastasia, or she is a conartist that tried to hone in on the rominov name. she was later DNA tested after her death and was not the true anastasia! may the true anastasia rest in peace, wherever she is.

There is debate to whether the hair tested belonged to her though but the fact she was cremated leads one to wonder and they have found the missing body of the Romanov princess it's to bad the children had to suffer for the crimes of Bloody Nicholas and that bitch of his Alexandra!
