I like both game series, but I'm leaning towards Phoenix and Maya. I got more laughs with them than with Layton and luke. To me, Phoenix seems more reliable to me than Layton in this video, looking at all the facts and such. Layton looks and sounds like a bad guy in here, but I don't know. Wish it was coming to america, that would be cool.

I'd like to clarify something. This game is a collaboration between Shu Takumi and Level 5. Not Capcom and Level 5. This means the game has about the same chance at being localized as any of the other Layton games have had.

And as to all the 3DS haters in the comments...

By responding in this way to the announcement, you are clearly revealing that you choose your consoles based on something other than the games they have. A console is just as good as its games. There are no other factors.

Seeing the two entirely different animation styles side by side is actually really interesting. You could say the way their art styles clash could reflect the way the characters clash the game itself. (Or at least this trailer)
