I'm glad other people are spotting his ability as a guitarist. The multitracking stuff tends to take prominence and his guitaring often gets overlooked.

All the prancing pink pony heavyguitarists of the 70's 80's and 90's can go suck it up to this guy. His use of the guitar outshines e-v-e-r-y s-i-n-g-l-e one of them. That goes both in terms of technique and overall musicality!

After listening to recordings as this one you got to ask yourself the question of: Who the hell is Slash? Who the hell is Satriani? Who the hell is Vai? etc., etc., etc... They seem like fashion and pop entertainers whereas Mike Oldfield use the guitar for creating ART!

Now at the age of 32 i have daughter age 6 who is also a mike oldfield fan lol pictures in the dark is her fave... so this is a public thank you to the man himself for generations of great music for gerations to hear.
