  • what a GREAT musician!!

  • @RA5717 Keith Moon commented on the tight yet creative drumming on the Band on the Run Album - which was all done my McCartney as Denny Seiwell quit days before recording started.

  • Just so cool! Reinforces what a great composer and singer Harrison was. Ringo playing drums in synch with Jim Keltner. Great brass section and backing vocals. What a production!

  • I wish I could go to this concert :(

  • Basically, this song says no to drugs. Drugs ruined the Beatles.

  • @chrshammer This song has nothing to do with drugs. Drugs didn't "ruin the Beatles" Get your facts straight and your google on.

  • @chrshammer I thought this song was about George Harrison's complaints to his fellow Beatles.

  • awesome...George on his '57 White Strat, Clapton playing Brownie (Layla Strat), Jesse Ed Davis playing his '55 Tele and Lucy ( Rick Derringer's former '57 Goldtop, repainted Red and given to Harrison) sitting on a stand

  • i wonder who the fuck gave 2 negative votes....

  • esta canción es tan bonita que cuando la escucho siento ganas de llorar de alegría, I LOVE YOU GEORGE !!!!

  • thanx!!! it is the 10th year today since he died.....my childhood best friend!!!!

  • GREAT SONG!

  • I have George's guitar! Actually a guitar that looks exactly like the one he is playing...

  • wah wah is scouse for brain damage

  • Ringo's beard....yes....

  • remember going to see this in the movies when it 1st came out...saw it more then a few times!!!!seeing it know, knowing all the musicians frm over the years, and now that george is no longer w/ us,makes it really special!!!!

  • Great band,graet concert,this one's a real toe tapper

  • George Harrison - Wah-wah - The Concert For Bangladesh - missing YOU George - David Harrison Levi - Starmaker

  • Wah-wah

    You've given me a wah-wah

    And I'm thinking of you

  • This could have been so much better if they had made room for the cameras and given them good lighting.

  • Wah-wah

    You've given me a wah-wah

    And I'm thinking of you

  • yeah thanks.......I know a guy named Mike Keltner.......I guess that's why I typed that in...I was waiting for somebody to call me on it.

  • I watch this over and over..love this and love to see Ringo and Mike drumming together. and love to watch George dancing around a bit. And to whoever.,thanis for sharing what a wah wah is.

  • @abbysnoni Yeah man, I totally agree, really awesome show! I love Ringo's drumming and leaning his head back at 2:45, looks really cool!

  • @abbysnoni Who is Mike? the drummers here are Ringo Starr and Jim Keltner

  • nice quality!!!!

  • why does Ringo always require another drummer?

  • @ih8tbush Because he's not that powerful of a drummer. He's ok in the studio but live, he just doesnt cut it.

  • @lucifer73 Dumbest comment on here.

  • @ih8tbush How come no one asks why George needs another guitar player? At this concert there were three guitar players for most of the concert and four on some numbers. Also, why does Billy Preston need another keyboard player, Leon Russell? Answer George invited a lot of his friends to play at this concert. He didn't need two drummers, Ringo could have carried the drumming fine but George wanted his friend Jim Keltner too.

  • @kentaappel But Ringo ALWAYS has another drummer. Is it not common to see multiple guitarists (at least 2), and 2 different kinds of keys (piano vs. organ). With the exception of The Grateful Dead how many bands had 2 drummers (full set) or 2 bassists ?

  • @ih8tbush Actually, the Doobie Brothers, 38 Special, the Allman Brothers Band, are three more that have two drummers.

  • @kentaappel in this case though, george brought back ringo and had a second as an "amplifier" to the set, since it was so huge (i have the DVD)

  • @kentaappel yes that's true....

  • @ih8tbush Because as Paul McCartney once said, "Ringo isn't even the best drummer among the Beatles."

  • @ih8tbush it's not about ringo, it's about good sound, how can you question about ringo's drumming quality after he recorded the complete beatles' catalogue drums parts? as you can see in superbands like the one who played the concert for george at the royal albert hall, they have plenty of drummers, or the band touring with clapton with more than one drum kit. it's a matter of sound power and quality. ringo is great and there's no beatles without him

  • A "Wah-wah" is a headache :-)

  • Dang, George looks really good in those white pants. The first time that I watched this I just stared at George and then the second time I actually listened to the music.

  • Wah-wah was not used for the Liverpoodlian vernacular nor was it a borrowing of his pet name for Clapton, it's all partial referencing for composite sake, like all Beatle lyric. Great song either way!

  • I looooove when two drummers play in unison. It looks awesome. George Harrison is the best Beatle.

  • Wah wah means jive or hassle from someone.

  • I remeber sitting in the college library a few years back listening to this on the internet. Man, I loved this song. I bought the All Things Must Pass album and it took 4 weeks to get to me. The longest 4 weeks of my life.

  • guess what came out this week on iTunes :)

  • The concert was I think 1971.

What made this so special was that this was the first large planned concert by a Beatle after the breakup. Next was the Willowbrook concert by Lennon.

  • @mailwilson I thought it was about the wah wah pedal because he's using one.

  • Ahhhhh, Leon making his presence known with masterful piano playing as usual.

  • I was there. At the afternoon show. I am sure they made the movie from both the afternoon gig and evening gig. I remember getting a hotdog during Ravi Shanker.

When Harrison came out, he got a standing ovation like maybe 2 or 5 minutes. I don't remember but it was longer than any ovation I have ever seen. Clapton was there. Dylan was a big part of the show but when he played Something was probably the climax and also when he did While My Guitar gently Weeps.

Was also at the willobrook concert

  • @tommigs

    What year was it?

  • @mailwilson sh1t?

  • great song!!

  • Leon Russell!

Thanks so much for posting, I LOVE this.

  • Gives me the shivers listening to the intro and then seeing George in his white suit. Haven't heard this for ages. Lovely

  • @steelyjohn I was thinking the exact same thing!

  • Klaus Voorman kicking ass on the bass . One of the Unsung Heros on the Instrument . Amen , Sapperticker ! Everyone had seen "The Beatles" on TV , in the Movies , on the Radio , you name it ; but to be in that audience , in the same building with an actual Beatle must have felt like being touched by God . It was a truly defining moment of what "Our Generation" was , and is ...at it's very best . Whether or not people admit it . , The Beatles were prophets ... whether they knew it or not .

  • this was written about the complaining and whining that Paul Mc Cartney used to do ,, check your facts and you will see I am correct.

  • can somebody told me if Harrison is talking in this song a bout the Wah-wah Pedal ?

  • @TheVictle yes, he is. In fact, he's referring to the wah-wah pedal the Eric Clapton gave to him as a gift.

  • I love the way he used time changes in his tunes.
