Not bad for imitation, but still - it's imitation. Plus the main thing in NTB was all that data that appeared on the screen and you don't have that. One more ingenious thing that Decoy made was that amazing transition - so swift that you couldn't say where does one clip end and second begin xD You could have done that here, with Black restore for example. But still - it's good as imitation.

The hexagon shapes are masked out. You can tell by pausing it in the video and seeing that they arent perfect hexagons... but the quicker way to find out is by reading his discription coz he wrote it there =P

If you base an amv on its having subs or not you are a novice at rating amv's. A good amv can have subs in it (Although distracting) subs do not make or break a video (Most of the time)

But the fact that he has subs while using a program in which it is so easy to remove them shows his lack of expertise. Removing subs is one of the EASIEST things to do in Sony Vegas. It's easier than making those little boxes appear. If he's so good with pan/crop, why didn't he take the time to remove the subs?

1st comment - thats stating the problem and not giving the solution but the solution should be obvious if you knew how to do the hexagons and stuff cuz sub removal is the pretty much the 2nd easiest thing to do

2nd comment - then YOU are the novice, no subs is as important as having good quality(if the scene you're using needs a sub for the amv itself...different story)

duplicate the clip, then use glow on the duplicate clip.

Change everything to 0 except the second one. change the second one to maxium.

I did this a while ago and it takes a long time to do. plus i had a tough time getting my hexagons to look right since vegas's masking sux. good job, but it seemed like you were putting the target on just random parts of the clip, such as someone's hair one second and the next, their feet.
