@Kooletz71 The hostility comes from the irrational chauvinism so many snooker players have toward pool, despite knowing (in most cases--obviously this isn't the case with Steve Davis) next to nothing about the game. Even Davis' response to his co-snooker players, though, is a bit condescending--"the pockets are also massive when you're scratching in off," not giving pool any credit for the complex positional game that always gives snooker players trouble at first.
