As a kid watching the old western TV shows I always thought it was funny that Lucas McCain and the Cartwrights could spend the whole episode killing as many people in town as they wanted and it seemed to be OK with the town folk.

It''s funny that two of the great TV dads nearly always played the role of the heavy in other roles on film and TV. I'm talking about, of course, Chuck Connors and Lorne Greene.

very very cool...loved the rifleman... Chuck Connors was very cool.. His later years he lived in Stallion Springs near tehachapi and Bakersfield CA
