  • I want this video on my g-Cam phone.

  • this is AMAZING!

  • This video went viral on Portau

  • whoooooooooooooop !

  • I'm an OU fan and was at the game. This is the best performance I've EVER seen performed at a halftime show; including our own. Thank you for posting this!

  • that is so cool!

I smile so much I'm crying.

and I have nothing to do with A & M; I'm a nobody from Missouri

    Thank-you, all 303 of you!

  • Awesome, my High school band (Ennis tx) also play this fight song when we make our E on the feild. We have also played invictus in the past but we are much smaller so it wasn't as epic.

  • I can truly say that I have missed the 'greatest marching band in the world'. It's been over 20 years and I'm glad to find this video. Thanks for the upload!!!!

    from Hog Country!!!!

  • HULLABALOO CANECK CANECK.....I LOVE THE AGGIE MARCHING BAND!!! There's always going to be SOMEONE who turns their nose up when they see something good, and all that says to me is that their 'arrogance' won't allow them to say 'AWESOME' to anyone other than their reflection in the mirror, so I don't pay attention to their '2 cents' worth, as that's pretty much all it's worth. The Aggie Marching Band is AWESOME, and it's obvious they put in a tremendous amount of work. THEY TOTALLY ROCK!

  • I'm not one to tear up, but seeing the Aggie band after missing them for several years, it was a feeling I can't explain. It's the same feeling I sometimes get when the national anthem is played. The Aggie band is the best part of the football game experience. Signed Class of '74

  • I swear A&M has the most badass band in the world! just got back from my first ever Aggie football game where we BTHO SMU!!!! 46-14! class of 2015!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ....and again, THIS BAND, this band, THIS BAND, is one of the strong points in arguing about A&M! my family is (hispanic) so of course they rout(e) for the team they know best which is t.u., but I and several other family member broke that nonse and were Aggies! whether we went to A&M or not, we're still die-hard fans! Gig'em Aggies!

  • LOL my teacher was apart the University of Texas Marching Longhorns lol and every day in class i'd tell him "AGGIES'

  • That said... it isn't that impressive. Military marching is not very difficult. Wonder why so few college bands use military marching + old march music? Because it isn't enjoyable. Playing the more modern stuff is popular because the crowd enjoys it. I've marched my share, both military, corps-style, and even Drum Corps International. Military is boring and repetitive. If the direction/talent of the band isn't very good, corps-style is boring and sloppy. Check out DCI and be impressed.

  • @diewellsemperfi This Aggie disagrees. So you are saying that being loyal to you Alma Mater, country and standing behind your values is "kinda pathetic to the 'real world' outside of College Station." Military style marching is not enjoyable? To whom? I think the 80,000 Aggies that attend the football games and watch the band do not subscribe to your point of view. Not only that, I have heard non Aggies comment on how professional the Aggie Marching Band is.

  • I get the hype. Aggies like to take pride in everything. No matter how bad a football team is, at the beginning of the year it is "We have a got a good chance at a National Championship". No matter the tradition, they love it even if it is completely retarded. Arguing with Aggies is pointless because being an "Aggie" is something they take as part of their personality. To the real world, its kinda pathetic outside of College Station. But enjoy it in your sphere of influence.

  • And now that the crowd's asleep...

  • headed to A&M next year. i'm planning on being in the marching band and i'm really looking foward to doing this next year. GIG 'EM! Class of 2015!

  • .....WHAT. thats just so cool! i cant wati to go here!

  • i love A&M i cant wait to go there!!!!! CLASS OF 2021!!!!

  • Star destoryer fromation.

  • Hey, I see Nick Cannon!

  • Marched & played in the Bass line, it sent chills down my spine everytime we performed knowing that I was such a priviledged member of one of the finest and greatest military style bands of all time. If you haven't been to a Fightin' Texas Aggie Band halftime show , you positively will not know or appreciate what I am talking about...it is the ULTIMATE and most thrilling & memorable experience of a lifetime for spectators and band members alike !!!

  • Went to a Dallas Cowboy game about 20 years ago.All they played was the Aggie War Hymn for about 15 minutes. The crowd was going crazy.

  • I saw the band perform at a game when I was a little girl and have never forgotten how impressed I was. Keep up the great work. Hopefully I'll get to see the band again in the future.

  • This isn't my style of marching band, this is actually an entirely different world to me. With that, this is still pretty impressive.

  • Great job. I saw your band at the UT game. Awesome performance.

  • im really impressed but military syle marching is not my thing especialy for the drumline it be too boring

  • Excellent VIDEO! GIG EM AGS!

  • who cpold dislike the Aggie band?

  • I'm not even an aggie fan but I have to give it to you! This band is AMAZING and this is the most awesome performance that i have ever seen!! WOW! It brought tears to my eyes at how dedicated these band member must be in order to pull off such an excellent presentation!!!

  • I will never understand how they all meshed in at the end.

    Incredible!

  • An old Baylor guy here, but this gives me chills every time and makes me proud to be a Texan! Beat Texas and win your bowl game!

  • Looks, marches like a russian military band.

  • No matter what other colleges and people say, I have seen several college and professional marching bands, and this band tops them all. I'm in LSU country, but I am a proud Aggie. GIG'EM AGGIES!!!

  • It baffles me that the crowd is so awed by the easy maneuvers, but seems so unimpressed by the hard stuff. For example, the block split at 4:40 incites ooh's and aah's from the crowd... EASIEST MOVE IN THE ENTIRE DRILL. BUT... the criss-cross oblique maneuver at 3:20 gets almost no response... does anybody have any idea how HARD that is? Football fans baffle me. They have no idea how good this band really is. They just cheer for them because it's their band. Band: WIN Crowd: FAIL

  • @jpeanrkode sorry, but you don't get it. it's the irony. like how we ooh and aah at the little flag waves on the trumpets at the beginning, but it's the parts like 3:20 that leave you speechless.

  • This my friends is what is known as "A Marching Band". A band that marches and plays true honest to goodness marches. Not those symphonic orchestras that put on circus uniforms, play Beethoven, or tunes from Aladdin, have all those "marimbas" on one side and form circles while playing "Ring around the Roses" or some crap and have the audacity to call themselves a marching band. The Aggie Band is the greatest "MARCHING BAND" anywhere - Gig 'em Aggies!!!

  • @2tobytwo -I officiate hs football in texas. have you seen some of the $&!* the high school bands do these days? they look as queer as a three dollar bill

  • Please accept the admiration of an ardent Longhorn fan. This was an exemplary performance.

  • Love IT!!!!!!!

  • Just one word ... Awes..no wait...Magni....hold up...Remar.

I guess there is no word to describe this totally Awesome, Magnificent, Remarkable or whatever you want to describe this performance on video.

    THANKS FOR SHARING!

  • Everyone in the nation outside of College Station laughs AT the faggies... UT is the only legit school in Texas. I'm a Yale grad myself though, go Ivy's!

  • @TheMeltingLion

Laughs? Really? I am damn proud to be an Aggie. ATM has such a rich history and tradition, especially in military service. more than 20,000 aggies served in World War II, of these more than 14,000 were officers more than any other school including the combined totals of our nations military schools. Faggies??? Tell that to an Aggie's face and I hope they whoop your "ivy" league ass

  • blood sweat tears ?? wtf its just a band you fag! its not football or anything in that nature

  • @pumbaac33

You obviously don't know anything about this particular band then. I did my time and it was more challenging than anything I had done up to that point. Half the band is under contract with the Military and will commission upon graduation (I myself am In the Army now). All of them are in the Corps that in itself is a challenge and is more than just an ROTC.

So yes Blood Sweat and Tears....

  • Hmm not enough people in this band I'd say

  • If they taught NBA players to do this, USA team would win 150-30 every international game. Well, may be 130-60 against Spain.

  • @latintantramaster We pretty much do. :P

  • @txkyle2013 Oh, come on. I´m talking about Celsius, not Farenheit.

  • How comes this hasn´t got a couple of millions of views?

  • everytthing is better in texas

  • where's waldo???!! :D

  • A&M may not win every game, but the Aggie Band has NEVER lost a halftime.

  • Id love to see YOUR band do this!

  • love to see YOUR band try and do that!

  • AAAA!!!!! MY NAME IS MARGARITA DIEZ AND I AM THE PROUDEST MEMBER OF THE FIGHTING TEXAS AGGIE CLASS OF 2014!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

  • @sweartorainbow hahaha Fish camp huh??

  • @TheSww12 indeed sir. Or ma'am? Hahaha. xD Do you go to A&M? :D

  • @sweartorainbow Yes i graduate in december. WHOOP haha

  • looks and sounds like a russian military band

  • @william61848 Stars and Stripes Forever is not russian a-hole

  • @william61848 Stars and Stripes Forever is not russian

  • bamf

  • Friggin' awesome!!! Gig' Em Aggies!!!

  • Ahhh I love this!! I'm excited! Class of 2014! AYYYYY!

  • @brittanyxface YAY! Are you going to Impact?!

  • @xFu510nx Lol... what's impact? Haha I'm sorry! Idk if I am. I'm going to Fish Camp if that means anything!!

  • @xFu510nx

A&M BTHO OU this year!!! A-A-A Whoop!

  • @brittanyxface Class of 2013! Gig 'em!

  • This is the only college band I know of that plays nice martial music instead of some broadway crap. I'm a Bama fan but some of the music the Bama band plays is just that.....crap.

  • Wow... Not my cup of tea (that style of marching anyway), but at the same time, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like that before. That was really really cool.

  • hahha reallu nice

  • I'm about to shit myself.

  • Haha, this show certainly is interesting!

It is a very different philosophy of how a marching band works than I'm used to. The drill is cool, the music is great (Even though I loath marches, I know not everybody is like me, so I give them credit), and their fan-base is very affectionate toward the band. But what strikes me as odd is that while the band marches from endzone to endzone, they're not actually performing TO the crowd.

  • I grew up a Texas fan and went to Alabama, but I went to my share of A&M games with friends and their families when I was a kid. Texas A&M used to be strictly a military academy, and the band is one of the things at A&M that still retains the military tradition. In essence, the Aggie Band is a military marching band, and military marching bands don't play "to the crowd". That's my take, but I'm no expert and I may be right or wrong but that's how I've always understood the Aggie tradition.

  • Hey, makes sense to me! I'm originally from Illinois, but moved to Georgia, so I haven't touched the area much. Thanks for the point of view!

  • I have looked through several videos of this band. Is that really how this band operates halftime? They play the same piece every game of every season and just mix up the drill? I have nothing bad to say about the music or the marching. Everything looks and sounds fantastic. What surprises is me that this crowd eats it up every time. It may be that I am used to a different brand of college marching band that involves exciting music and visual excitement. This just seems bland to me.

  • @d5hepinstall The thing about us Aggies is that we don't really care if the performance is great - if it is by OUR team, we will cheer for it, scream for it, and support it 120%. Even if we are doing horribly in anything, we cheer for and support our side as much as we can. Its kinda like the national anthem - it doesn't matter where you are, you take off your hat, face the flag, and put your hand on your heart out of support and respect for our country.

  • Thanks for the kind response. That's legit and I respect that type of enthusiasm. Very classy :-)

  • lol correction *sousaphone* anyways....im an 8th grader with big dreams of serving on this band and going to texas a&m, my dream is to one day be on the feild on one of these shows.

  • Marching band is definintly one of the hardest things you can participate in. It requires stamina, endurance, lung capacity, concentration, rythym, strength, spatial awareness, and incredible dedication.

Marching band is definently a legitamate sport. In technicalities, it is a "physical activity" due to it's dependability on the judges opinion on the show. It's still great!

  • hey are team still sucks but at least are band is legit

  • word

  • thunderflower367....you don't understand and never will understand the dedication, practice, blood, sweat, tears, and effort to finish four years in Fightin' Texas Aggie Band.

  • uhh your cool?

  • Nice band but the Tennessee Circle Drill from the University of Tennessee is a better show.

  • We agree to disagree. Those who have spent 4 years at either VMI, The Citadel, West Point, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, or 4 years in The Corps of Cadets & The Fight'in Texas Aggie Band come from a different perspective.

  • The Pride of The Southland Band is one of the oldest bands in the nation. It formed in 1869 under the military department of the school. It's first uniform was a West Point style uniform and moved to a WW I style uniform by 1917. The Pride stayed under the military depart. for about 100 years until seperating in 1961. To this day The Pride is a very hard band to be a member of. They are still very militaristic and they still wear military style uniforms. (homage to their military background)

  • @cpatter4 Amen!

  • 4 years in The Pride is nothing to sneeze at. I know cause i was in The Pride and am now currently in the military.

    - Proud to be a VOL (Hooah)

  • Im an OU fan, but there is nothing better than the FIGHTING TEXAS AGGIE BAND

  • yes there is all the aggie band plays is military music not thats a bad thing but it gets boring after a while. for the record usc and famu and vsu are the best

  • kicks the hell outta every other band! haha

  • If their football team had this much unity and coordination they'd win the Big 12 every year. They should fire all their football coaches and hire the band director to coach.

  • Thank you for the memories. -- Aggie Class of '93

  • I'm an OU student and saw these guys at the game last in Norman. I was impressed.

  • That last move at the end was unbelievable.

  • best band ever.

  • Hey Lyle Gordon, Capt, USMC......I miss you brother!! God Bless!

  • I saw this marching band in Lincoln several years ago (whatever year it was where the Cornhuskers shut A&M out like 37-0 and blocked 3 field goals*), but I have to say the Aggie marching band is f***ing incredible. When we weren't cheering we stared in spellbound silence.

*Don't ask me how the Cornhuskers have done vs. A&M lately though.

  • ATM is the best college that ever was

  • You mean TAM @DDSproductions08

  • @FredrickUniversity no he means ATM. its really supposed to look like the logo aTm with the little uppercase A, large uppercase T, and small uppercase M. or you can say TAMU but never ever TAM (:

  • i cant wait until they play at ou this year, im going and i cant wait till their band plays at halftime!

  • a&m band is epic :D

  • That was beautiful.B-)

  • others might say how routine, how old fashioned, how lame and all else this band is. BUT this band is THE (i said guhdamn holyshit wowsas goodness gracious!) of marching bands. WE don't need no fancy drills or call them them the 'showband of the southwest'. THEY COME AND ROCK YOUR SOCKS OFF.

  • hey t.u QUEERS this isnt a football video... We dont need a steroid induced football team to make us look good. We gotta band thatll kick ur butt every day of the week

  • Hey Arnim94,

At least our football players grageate from college and don't get arrested EVERY year!

Who won the last 2 out of 3 years?? UMMM.. A&M!!

  • And i love how they leave the field

  • Here is my perspective, now i am a die hard aggie. Texas has had a better football team than the ags, but no one in america is this badass, seeing as the 4-way crossthrough is an "impossible drill." My dad and his dads dad was in the aggie band. Gig 'em!

  • D: that is a huge band

  • The only facet of an opposingt school that recieves a standing ovation at OU.

  • bands today try to hide their lack of skill in flashy flags and curly lines. this is HARD and requires A LOT of work! Gig Em

  • Fantastic! This gives me chills.

  • as impressive as that drill is (pretty close quarters!) that was like watching gray paint dry.

  • Comment removed

  • pfffffft..... but can they kill people with their bare hands in their spare time??

  • you know what these guys and gals are the ones who will someday make sure you have the right to talk all the SHIT you want because they are future army officers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why are you saying I'm talking crap???

    I AM an Ag!!!

Oh.... I'm sorry.... Did I mention that I was IN the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band??!?

I was COMPLIMENTING them/us and showing this person that these guys can't be compared to regular bands, because its a military environment.... hence the "kill with bare hands." .... and these aren't Army Officers... and that's how I know YOU weren't in the band.

  • I understand what you're saying. I was in a military style band in high school, but now I'm in the Longhorn band. It's a lot different than what I was used to

  • Close quarters is an UNDERSTATEMENT!!!

At the end of the performance, the sleeves are tightly rolled all the way up from the shoulders rubbing together.

Dangerous stuff... seen a number of teeth get lost

  • It's been so long since I saw anyone march in military style that I forget how boring it could be. These guys are really good at what they do, but I don't find it very entertaining.

And not just because I hate Sousa so much.

  • These people are really good. I used to be in my school's marching band and what we did is nothing compared to this.

  • love the "dog face soldjer"

,to hell and back with Audie Murphy.

part of the show. saw an Aggie band member going into the Astrodome once as i was coming in from the parking lot...larger than life, larger than life.....my son lost his wallet during the game, in the bleachers. We got a call later, an Aggie had found it and tracked down who it belonged to, before cell phones and computers.... High calibre men and women, all.

  • Tubas o yeaaaa

    GIG'EM!

  • I remember the 70s, I was an unimportent member of the team; we were usually losing pretty bad by halftime but no one could beat our band. Gig-em

  • you must be one of thise that cant walk and chew gum at the same time The timing and precision and hours to do this show and to have someone run down the uniforms and say they would be embarrassed to wear these uniforms Dont join the military

  • im kinda dissapointed. i wanted to go to texas a&m and be in the band. but i don't wanna be in the corps of cadets.oh well. still great performance

  • As a Univeristy of Texas alum and fan, I always look forward to seeing the Aggie marching band perform at halftime. It is indeed a great marching band. Quite entertaining really.

    Peace.

    Hook'Em

  • I hope all the longhorns would admit that aggies has a better band as much as the aggies would admitted that the longhorns has a awesome football team. You should see A&M's 4-way crossing, which was known as the impossible drill. even the computer couldn't figured out how it worked.

  • I'll look it up the next time I get to see the band perform. I for one look forward to seeing A&M marching band perform more than any other band including our own simply because it is unique and the choreographed march is mesmerizing. As far as football, its been so lopsided(head to head).

You'll never get every Horns to admit that A&M's band is better but that's just part of the rivalry. 1/09 Smart Money Mag has A&M and UT #2 and #3 as top public schools.

    Hook'EM

  • Hey, thanks for the compliment. Our two schools have a great rivalry, but it's good to see someone who sees that we're just 2 different, very great Texas schools that have their own attributes.

    GIG 'EM AGGIES!!!!

  • I too am a Longhorn fan since the days Of Giov Price Daniels and Darrell Royal but no one including Texas has a better Precision drill band than Texas A& M

  • all of you complaining about it being military style marching need to stfu. A&M is a school based around military tradition. so take your stupid ass comments and shove them up your ass.

  • I love it! Im going in 3 years- trumpets! I'm joining the Corps of cadets- and the band. Their uniforms are sure as hell better than those faggy brokeback mountain cowboy costumes that TU wears... GIG EM AGGIES

  • In HS, you perform the same show for 4 months and sometimes still do a horrible job of marching. At A&M and many other colleges, they learn a different drill every week. And they do a better job to it than the high schools do in 4 months. This band is very talented. Those who are criticizing it for not having common curves do not have an eye for marching and can't see how precise A&M's marching is.

And who cares who won or lost the game, this is band, who cares what the football team did.

  • actually ut looks like a bunch of fags because they're dressed in gay-stripper cowboy outfits. i'd rather see a damn good show for four months than a bunch of morons strung across the field because it's different every week

  • High school bands do the same show for four months. The college band I was in did a different show for every game. I am sure it is the same for the Aggie band.

  • GIG EM

  • Core>Military

  • sorry to disagree with the few below but to excute such amazing precision like they do, not have a single visible colition, and make such simple formations SO PERFECT is AMAZING!!! In my opinion curves aren't even that impresive. most of the time they are just free form and you can fix and adjust to make it look good. Military formations are more dificult to excute because you have a VERY specific spot to be all the time, and if your aren't there then it sticks out! This is an impresive band

  • hookem

  • more like saw 'em off.

  • Have to agree, crazyboymarching, my high school band does more complicated forms than that. They didn't make a single arc, let alone many step size changes, they always faced the direction they were going: why not slide?

  • Are you kidding me? You think this is easy. The Aggie Band learns a new drill every single week. The Aggie Band does the 4-way cross. The single harest drill in all of marching lets see a corp band do that. One more thing why do they call corp marching they do not march at all they just walk.

  • considering there is a program that figures wether a march is possible to perform and it figured the 4 way cross to be impossible due to it calls for a person to be in an exact space calling for only a 6 Centimeter mistake or youd crash into another at an exact calling for only a .2 second mistake ...it figures it to be impossible.... BEAT THAT...GIG EM

  • any one can make that program say a drill set is impossible. "impossible" is what you mean, its a damn computer.

  • you dont know anything about corps marching...and its obvious.

  • From the historic perspective thatA&M is one of the largest military schools in the US.They have much more talent than faggy little bands that play the 'Theme from Starwars' over and over. Most of the people who aren't Aggies on this thread miss the point. It's a matter of the tradition and history. This school is unlike any other that exists. It's leadership training is not just a military thing. The traditions are meant for leadership and team building. And the Aggie Band is a prime example.

  • never heard a marching band of any kind play theme from star wars before, but thanks for the history lesson.

  • you should know that many of the cadets in the aggie band have been a part of high school show bands and could very easily out march most college bands given the chance. some of these cadets have even marched DCI. so please understand that what you are trying to say is more of an ignorant insult than anything else. the only thing that stays the same throught an aggie band show is the step size, the basic show format, and the ending. and never compare the aggie band to a high school

  • blah blah blah...whine...blah. i have heard it all, and you wont change my mind.

  • did you know that they have a maneuver where your stride is in the middle of someone ELSE's stride, and someone is in yours.... its VERY dangerous, and this is what the guy was talking about the computer.... in a very real way, two people are in the same spot... MOVING.

  • @crazyboymarching i dont know why you consider forming an arc as hard? Diagonal's and any for that requires to you to cover down are the hardest forms to move in the slightest fraction of an inch off is very noticeable. Besides that any discrepancy in body carriage or uneven step size is easy to point out. In an arc you can be very off and nobody can tell the difference it is quite easy to form and move in an arc. Besides that the military marching style is WAY harder to master.

  • Forgive me, I don't know much about your band. But, do you guys only do military style halftime shows? If you do, I'm surprised that goes over well in Texas! You do a great job, though!!

  • that has to be one of the biggest blocks i've ever seen! wow...

  • AWESOME, GIG'EM AGGIE!!!

  • Absolutely great video! If you've never been to an Aggie game and seen the band marching into the field, half time, and even the "men" yell leaders, you haven't seen a college game! There's nothing else like it... long live the A&M Spirit!

  • i just LOVE the intricticy (sp) of the drills. so sharp!

  • LOVE the Aggie band!!! GIG 'EM!!

  • GIG EM AGGIES!!!!!!!! WHOOP!!!!!!

  • I was on the field watching this one, taking pictures for the OU Daily. At the end of the game right before Paul Thompson's 4th down conversion, it was so loud I felt the ground vibrate under my feet.

  • I gotta write that Chevron drill into the show this year.

  • wow that marching band was AWESOME

  • TOO COOL

    gig'em aggies!!!
