@TrololololoTube I can only speak from the knowledge gained from my kit, but all plastic clamps either have a small drumkey sized bolt which can be loosened, or they can be slipped off with a little physical strength. As far as I know none of them are glued on or permanently affixed. Look for the bolt, and if there isnt one, try some gentle persuasion.
@88MapeX88 Hi. For most of the time Ive had the kit, I just used the preset roland sounds, but mixed them up a little. I went for the blast kit and the custom HH (not the HHE at all) and "rose" toms... best punchy sounds for rock/metal etc... I now use Superior Drummer and a MIDI interface, so my sounds have changed. On my drumming vids pre Nov 2011 were roland..
Nice video, a good bit of information in there. I upgraded my old TD3 to the new TD9-kx2 and have to say that the walking bass pedal problem has been sorted pretty much by the new KD9 design. I had thought I might need to move my lower crossbar to block it and stop it wandering off, but your solution is pretty neat. I need to transport my kit every week so I cant make major mods like that, but more pads and splitters are going to be a must.
@axeman3d Ive gone off spiltters. Try using a Roland TMC6 expansion box. It gives you six more inputs and you dont compromise any rimshots etc... it gives you 6 more, takes away nothing... a few hundred bucks, but then again 5 spiltters is over 100 bucks anyway.
@defkasdfl I should add that due to the weight and dispersion of the acoustic kick drum, the kick should stay in position, unlike the kick trigger, which is too light. As an extra way to keep it in place (should it be moving away) is to squeeze foam rubber of a cushion on each side, between the legs of the frame and the shell of the bassdrum.
@defkasdfl I measured the space, and it was about 57cm freespace, which works out to be just a teeny bit over 22inches wide, so the kick will fit between the legs. If you triggered the kick, then yes, it would work. Interesting question, and good luck with the project brother ;-)
hey man, this video is amazing! :D
I have a question
do you know how to remove the braces from the rack?
I removed the lower rack, but I can't remove the braces/clamps (don't know how to call them) that are attached to the "legs" of the kit
thanks in advance :)

great video man, and your kit sounds very good, do you use other software or just the original module sounds?

@Togagiga The Iron Cobras? I find them kinda sluggish actually, but that's more than likely my settings and my lazy legs ;-)
