  • Come here bcuz of the movie Coming To América lool

  • Absolutely unbelievable that people on disagree with the age of Joe Louis!!

HE WAS 75 or 76 YEARS OLD!! If not then he was defo 137 years OLD!!

    :-D

  • Guys, Joe Louis was a long term cocaine addict, between fights he never kept in trim or fit and as he got older training old aching muscles defeated him. Joe had been cruising for 10 years when this fight took place, a great fighter, a top class fighter, but an old timer with slow legs and punch-back speed by age 30. He spent too much time with women, never rested and lost interest, add to this his heavy cocaine consumption and you can reason what occurred. The young Joe was everything.

  • foarte naspa nu are viteza stil lupta cu capu vaide steaua lui :(((

  • joe louis was 37-38 at the time of this fight rocky was around 27

  • @njgabb Joe Louis was 36-years-old during this fight. What joke am I missing? I don't understand the constant 75--137 yeat-old comments.

  • actually he was 37

  • My dad met Rocky Mariciano and etrduced him to my grand father. My grandfather loved Mariciano so much because his dad was from the same town in Abruzzi, ITaly my granpa was from: Ripa Tiatina.

  • ali and frazier had very high opinions of the rock, la starza, ezzard charles and wallcot would beat most modern day fighters at their weight.

  • Precioso knockout le propino Marciano a Joe Louis.

    Impresionante.

  • @Abe4life1 that's they one! Thats they one!

  • Louis came out of retirement for this fight.. win doesn't count

  • @abe4life1

but whoever beat him? NOBODY and he fought them all at that time ,his record is still today

  • he was not 75 years old omg

  • be logic how it comes a man of 75 could fight we couldent even walk

  • Joe Louis was 75 years old when they fought!

  • The largest gathering of Mafia in the World

  • Say what you want about Marciano, but he was one strong man.

  • Skill in boxing doesn't count for shit. What is this rubbish about the right technique? Clearly Marciano's way was the right technique as he ko'ed everyone!

  • i cant beleive these iditos cant recognize rockys skill level

the morons know nothing of boxing

  • Hahaha bs this guy can't take out muhammad Ali or Tyson

  • @madxtermin8ter Do you even know who Joe Louis is. He has the most title defenses. This was when Joe Louis came out of retirement to pay off a debt. Rocky has only a little title defenses but he would whip Tyson's but. Louis is actually the #2 boxer under Louis. Rocky is under Louis and Mike is about #16 in the ring magazine. Mike hasn't even beat anyone better then Ezzard Charles. His best win is against Michael Spinks. He's cool but Tyson sort of messed up his career. Ali is the best though.

  • @sonofaballer96 actually julio cesar chavez has 27 title defenses and joe louis has 25.

  • @madxtermin8ter I actually meant for heavyweight but I didn't know about the Chavez thing.

  • I think the Old, White, and Jewish Eddie Murphy said it best "He kicked Joe Louis's ASS!!!!" Just remember to taste the soup. HAHAHAHA LOL!!!

  • look this is just my opinion, but i think muhammad ali really was 'the greatest'. After all as he said, you cant hit what you cant see, and anyone that that can land some good punches on him deserve a load of praise. He was another fighter that didnt get to prove himself thanks to the U.S government but nevertheless came back and beat a fit young george foreman after an absence of 3 years.

  • first rocky fight ive seen, god damn what the fuck is up with the "unintentional" headbutts from him...

  • @slitheredxscars If you look hard enough, you might be able to see some green men too. They are as noticeable as those "headbutts."

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE lol and your trying to say that i delusional.lol

  • @slitheredxscars Well....if you put it that way.

  • fake

  • Rocky Marciano actually knocked Muhammad Ali down in a sparring match with head gear and bigger gloves. It would of been a really close fight if they ever fought

  • This Joe Louis way beyond his prime but he does well at the beginning but cant maintain against the power of Marciano at his age. But this man ruled the heavy weight division for more than 11 years... that is an accomplishment for the ages and puts him at the top or near it of all time champs. In those years he defended his crown 26 times - 25 times successfully... an all time record... that is more than 2 defenses a year. Joe Louis was the man. And he was a decent honest man too.

  • Wow! Rocky was the best ever! They were all great boxers in those days, much better than those from the 60s and 70s. Go Rocky!

  • @DavidCastoe Jack dempsey?

  • @DavidCastoe henry cooper?

  • @DavidCastoe Barry Mcguigan?

On and on and on and so forth

  • FukOsamazMama I bet u would love to beat up on a Nubian man........u so sorry! Go out and do it now! I tell u what...come to me. Its stupid acting people like urself the world don't need.

  • The greatest will always be Ali.........

  • Rocky retired the UNDEFEATED champion of the world and he was in his prime when he did. 49-0 with 43 knockouts.

    Geatest boxer and puncher ever.

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE So did Joe Calzaghe lol. Julio Cesar Chavez went 89-0 for 13 years. Records don't mean shit. Thats why guys like Muhammad Ali are considered p4p best ever. Muhammad Ali was way more dominant than Marciano. If there was a match up with the two in their primes, Ali would destroy him. And Joe Louis was old as hell here. 17 years in the game thats why he retired after this fight. He was good for his day, but he was slow and had shitty technique. Klitschko would probably beat him today

  • @JOHNTHEMONSTERR Rocky Marciano 49-0 with 43 knockouts and the retired Heavyweight champion of the World. Ali.....lost everytime he had a real fighter in the ring with him and got special scoring from the judges on many fights he should have lost.

    Rocky....greatest ever. No comparisons.

    The end.

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE KOs on who? Who did he KO? A bunch of bums who didnt even train full time. If you put Marciano in the 60s and 70s. The would have mopped the floor with him. Rocky isn't even top 3. Debateable in the top 10. He had no tecnique, just power. Ever since the 60s people use a lot more tecnique. Rocky wouldnt be shit today. Its Sugar Ray Robinson, Ali, maybe Julio Cesar Chavez. Unbeaten streaks dont mean shit. Rock was the best of his era, and his Era sucked dick.

    The end :)

  • @JOHNTHEMONSTERR And what do you think how good would be Ali if he would born in Marciano´s era? In that "sucked dick" era he wouldn´t had so money and possibilities as in 70,80,... Today boxers are too rotten to beat Rocky Marciano or Joe Louis in their eras. And don´t try compare lightweight champions with them. They couldn´t stand so many fights in heavyweight.

    The REAL END :-P

  • @Richie055 You are a moron. Marciano sucked. He was only good for his era. Look at how slow he was. Mike Tyson isn't even top ten heavyweights of all time, and Tyson would have destroyed this guy. Marciano was ONLY good for his era. He was slow as shit, had no technique, and no cardio. David Haye would probably beat Marciano hahaha. Jackass.

  • @JOHNTHEMONSTERR U know what I say to U motherfucker?! U don´t have any argument but I do. It´s called 49:0 asshole! Joe Louis & Rocky Marciano are the best ever!

  • @Richie055 Haha whatever. Theres been more impressive records in boxing. Do you're reseatch before you comment again, motherfucker :)

  • @JOHNTHEMONSTERR Doubt it, Marciano is probably 5th or 6th greatest heavyweight of all time. I would rank Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis above him.

  • @michaelyouth Honestly man, you'll probably think I am crazy, but I would even put Tyson above Marciano. He was in better shape, and was faster and in my opinion had better technique. Marciano does deserve recognition no doubt, I just don't believe he is the greatest heavyweight like that one jackass I am currently debating with. Appreciate you're opinion man.

  • @JOHNTHEMONSTERR Don't know about Tyson. Well the thing with Tyson is, is that he was amazing when he was 20, but never really proved himself with the best fighters of the era. Lost to Holeyfield and Lewis. I think why Marciano was a great heavyweight, is because he kept coming. He has a nice record but that, I agree, means nothing. If I knock out 100 bums, I still woudn't be great. Mariano is great, I agree with you though that he by no means is a Joe Louis or a Muhammad Ali.

  • @michaelyouth I know. I feel like Tyson was too young and undeveloped mentally at his peak. I feel that after D'Amato passed his life was on a downfall. Even though he captured the title and went undefeated for some years after. I believe had Cus not passed away Mike would have stayed on track and who knows what greater things he would accomplish. But we will never know. All are great boxers nevertheless.

  • @JOHNTHEMONSTERR Really so thats why no one in any boxing weight class has been able to beat or touch his 49 knockouts and 0 losses.

  • @mavis13V Beat records of 49-0? I hate Mayweather, but he's almost there. Julio Cesar Chavez went 87-0 for over ten years. Ray Robinson had 109 KOs, Tyson had 44, Dempsey had 51, Chavez had 80, Armstrong had 100. All had tougher opponents than Marciano. So do you're research dumbass, you keep saying the same shit over and over. You probably know nothing about boxing other than a couple big names. Jackass.

  • @JOHNTHEMONSTERR Joe Louis is better than Tyson and Dempsey. He is the best puncher and he has the most title defenses. Robinson fought good fighters but a lot of those guys were bums. Rocky is a Heavyweight, he would beat Robinson. Robinson is only better pound for pound. Rocky also has less ko's but he has a high ratio stupid. Learn some facts because you have to look at how much fights a year they had also and Robinson ko'd about half the guys he fought. He just fought a lot of guys.

  • @JOHNTHEMONSTERR Chavez is 107-89-6-2. Ray Robinson- 173-108-19-6. Dempsey 66-51-6-11. Tyson 50-44-6. Armstrong 141-109-21-10. Marciano 49-43. Rocky ko'd most people he fought and left some people in comas with his one punch ko power. Rocky had no one to match him or beat him. He is also more conditioned than most boxers. No one has ever broken every record in boxing, you should just respect the ones who did. Rocky just isn't lightning fast or a giant killer but he deserves credit.

  • @sonofaballer96 the only reason why ray robinson has that many wins was because there were no weight classes back then when he fought (he fought people smaller then him)

  • @madxtermin8ter True, if you look at the old fighters most of them have over 100 fights. Now the average is around 40 or 50. Robinson even fought Willie Pep. I'm not one of those people that think a lower class elite would beat a higher class elite. I like Ali the most. I just wish I could see more of the old school fighter.Mayweather is going to jail today also for 2 months.

  • @sonofaballer96 yea cuz the idiots on YTBC the nuthuggers disrespected the rock its called karma and that shit was instant

  • @sonofaballer96 I never said he didn't, my original comment was intended towards the idiot who said that just cause he was 49-0 ment that he was the best and most skilled. I never said he shouldnt be considered one of the best, just that there are better out there than him.

  • @LT1HILLINGHOE rocky the greatest ever???? WTF please tell me u'r joking

  • @JOHNTHEMONSTERR I think it is difficult to compare fighters of different era's with very different fitness and nutritional regimes. Maybe the only argument for who could have been the best of all time would be who had the biggest heart. And Rocky Marciano would be very close to the top. He was always so cool and calculated, i think Cassius Clay was a very spur of the moment fighter, which has its advantages maybe, but i think Marciano would have picked him apart. My Opinion.

  • @MrBRL Idk man. His technique is sloppy. Heart gets you places but skill is what matters. I just believe that others were better. I respect your opinion though most definitely though man. You seem to know your stuff.

  • Joe Louis was 75 years old

  • @baroh2413 he always lied about his age

  • @baroh2413 No No No according to Frank Sinatra Louis was 137 Years old lmao!!!

  • @baroh2413 lmaoo

  • @baroh2413 I think Louis was born on 1914, and this was on 1951, so, he was 37 years old, doesn't? But, yes, by the other hand, I think he was almost retired or something...

  • @baroh2413 he dont was 75 years old on the fight ..

  • @baroh2413

Joe Louis was 37 years old in this fight.

  • @baroh2413 Actually he was 37 and Marciano was 28. I bet in a rematch he would kill him in under 3 rounds like everyone else after feeling them out.

  • It was fixed.

  • personaly we will never know but I tink marciano cheated like day use to back in da days in it was kool cuz he was a white man with loaded gloves!!!

  • I've oniy read about this fight before, I've never watched it, and now that I have, I think it's one of the saddest things I have ever seen. Joe Louis was such a great champion, possibly the best ever, in any sport.

I bet Joe didn't realise he was going bald 'til he saw this either.

  • Rocky was a grandpabeater..

  • rocky marciano has a nice family i live right down the street from the marciano house in brockton

  • Another mismacth was the last title fight of Rockys career when he was 32 years old vs a 40 year old Archie Moore!!,could they NOT find any young good boxers back then or was everyone old farts?

  • @josemezatorrez pretty much yeah, Floyd Patterson was just a little too young to face Rocky then but never rule out over 40's, would recommend reading a book on the subject have read two books on fights of that era and they are always a good read, Archie Moore in his prime against a prime Rocky would have been a humdinger of a fight but due to boxing politics and the racism against black boxers and the fact that Archie had gone past his prime when he turned heavyweight was never gonna happen

  • @lickstickly Some of these promoters have no shame in their quest for the money game, boxing is dangerous enough and its a not good for boxing when they make these mismatches just because a boxer is popular they still send them to the slaughter house just to make a few dollars. What are the titles of those boxing books you mentioned? I enjoy reading about the old time boxers.

  • @josemezatorrez It wasn't the promoters; Louis owed the IRS a fortune, taxes from purses he had donated to the war effort. Imagine giving all your earnings to your country and then getting a tax bill. Louis eventually married an attorney who cut a deal with the IRS to get him out from under but it was horrible what he went through. That's why he was called "America's Guest."

  • What a sad mismatch, how could they allow a 37 year old fighter against a young and prime 27 year old fighter!! I see that boxing criminal mismatches also happened back in 1951 and today.

  • @josemezatorrez The promoters of this fight were interested in money- they didn't care if Louis got hurt or his legacy was tarnished. Boxing is all about money then and now... which is they allowed Lennox Lewis to fight a washed-up mike tyson in 2002, rather than legitimate contenders like Byrd or Ruiz. Lewis vs Tyson was much more lucrative than Lewis vs Byrd or Ruiz. As for Moore, don't be fooled by his age. The Old Mongoose still had lots left. He even knocked Marciano down in their fight!

  • That's the boy from BROCKTON, MASS. No one here can kick his ass!

  • @AnotherNightShow Hell yeah BORCKTON!!!

  • Lousi was too old for this fight. Yeah rocky was good but louis was simply the best.

  • Fuck yeah! If I could squab like Rocky i'd knock out blacks on a daily basis. **i shot tupac**

  • every time i start talking about boxing some white man pulls Rocky Marciano out they ass

  • @snakebreezy he's the best there ever was and ever will be, Ali doesn't have shit on this guy

  • @snakebreezy but a blk man can pull a million fighters out his ass lol

  • yeah, yoo herd me moolie...pay for my fuckin' candee! or i'll kick yur fuckin' moolie ass!

  • oooohhh! rocky bust that moulignan hole wide open! kick that melanzane's ass!!!

  • @wFVIPU9GBSEIPBPWbipe Oh the irony. Chump....run along elsewhere.

  • @wFVIPU9GBSEIPBPWbipe Don't cry homie.

  • @wFVIPU9GBSEIPBPWbipe You must be really mad that Marciano won...you know? He knocked Joe out , that's what makes you mad?

  • @wFVIPU9GBSEIPBPWbipe Sounds like you're the one getting raped, are you mad bro?

  • Rocky Marciano the greatist fighter of all time.

  • that old man got his azz beat down.

  • @wFVIPU9GBSEIPBPWbipe He was the world champion and number 1 ranked HW in the world when he fought Marciano on a 8 fight winstreak and had never been finished before. He carried a huge size advantage in the fight too , quit being ignorant chump.

  • joe luis lo hubiera ganado si huebiera peliado en sus epocas antes de retirarse

  • Uh, what are you all talking about? To the guys commenting below, Are you KIDDING? Joe Louis or Marciano would destroy all of you. These guys were monsters in the ring. They not only were experienced fighters but two of the best ever. Along with Ali ,Frazier and a few others these guys were great. Both honorable great fighters. Liked them both. Hard to choose who I would have wanted to win. I guess Marciano because Joe needed to retire. Though he was still young, he was too old to box. Great guy

  • Louis would of beat him if he was still in his prime, this is like watching roy jones fight now! I hate that Louis lost like this!

  • frank you hang out with joe louis just between me and you how old is joe louis.

you know what he said to me.

he said joe louis is a 137 years old.

  • in this match joe louis was 37 and rocky was 28

  • Klitschko Brothers are a piece of shit compared to this guy.

  • @GalickGun5078 Compared to the Klitschkos, Rocky would have had no chance. I was a fan of his at that time but facts are facts, he was an overblown Light Heavy who against the likes of Tyson, Lewis, Ali, Holmes, Foreman, Liston, Frazier(maybe) would have been hammered. Matter of fact, was Rocky's chin ever REALLY tested? Back then the fact he was White gave a lot of hope to the mentality at the time. I have to wonder if Rocky could have whipped a Jack Johnson when Johnson was at his best.

  • @9241937 A lot of those fighters (except Ali and maybe Foreman) beat the bad ones

and not the good ones. If Rocky won the super fight against Ali and people say Ali was better

than Tyson, then I think Tyson would have lost against Rocky too. Just saying.

  • Please dont compare modern athletes to past athletes and then say who would beat who. Many things change with time and it sounds like me and my friends in grade school discussing dinosaurs vs dragons or kingkong...

  • JOE LOUIS WAS 75 years old!

  • @bantam316 He was 37

  • @BurntSpaghettiFace You never watched Coming to America, did you?

  • @bantam316

He was old and needed the money

  • Comment removed

  • He has 37 years on video <.< he died a 66', i don't understand ya è.é

  • @bantam316 bullshit

  • Comment removed

  • @bantam316 I dunno how old he was, but he got his ass whopped!

  • @bantam316 Louis was not 75 in the 50's ...look how little rocky was

  • love the old school commentary

  • why do people say age was the factor? look at hopkins, foreman, moore, walcott, etc... age aint shit

  • joe louis was 137 years old.

  • @snoop11080 coming to america lol

  • From watching this video I can't see anything special about these guys. Sure they may have been the greatest in their time but I think if they were in their prime nowadays they just wouldn't match up to the modern standard. Even in the current drought of great heavyweight boxers.

  • "Joe Louis was always lying about his age. He lied about his age all the time. One time Frank Sinatra came in here and sat in this chair. I said Frank 'you hang out with Joe Louis, just between me and you, how old is Joe Louis?' You know what Frank told me, he said "Hey, Joe Louis is 137 years old." A hundred and thirty-seven years old!" Awesome movie!

  • He was only like 37 it defiantly isn't a Prime Louis but, this fight can't be completely ignored that is also ridiculous he was not that old and it wasn't like he was even coming of a loss he was coming off a string of wins and it was only his 3rd loss.

  • I wish we could see Rocky fight Joe in both their primes now that would be a fight! It's like seeing George Foreman vs. Mike Tyson in his prime or Ali vs. Mayweather in their primes! Great fights to see!

  • @jaxcity17

    marciano>louis

    foreman>tyson

    Ali vs mayweather.... really

  • @rocky58T

    lol

  • All this talk about "prime" ridiculous. What matters in the record books are wins and losses. Would Ali have murdered Spinx or Holmes in his prime? Who knows? Sans the Parkinsons he was out of his prime when he humiliated George Foreman.

Rocky Marciano was a cagey, athletic, dangerous power hitter, and he was a difficult matchup for everyone who fought against him. There is no reason to believe that he wouldn't have been just as dangerous for Ali or anyone else for that matter.

  • "Joe Louis was a hundred and seventy six years old when he fought."

-Eddie Murphy, The Barber, Coming to America

  • my favourite fighter is rocky marciano but watching the joe louis fights i would think this is one of those fights that both in their prime who would win like the ali marciano fights they are both distance fighters (in rounds i mean) so it would be interesting to know who would have won this when they both started i have alot of respect for both fighters.

  • After watching this carefully and seeing the openings that louis would have taken advantage of in his prime. Louis would have KO'd, TKO'd Rocky early.

  • aaah the second hit after louis was already in the ropes really did the job :D

  • LoL just love how everyone can not accept that marciano>ali>tyson. Im sorry. He was the greatest boxer that integrated power and tactics in his punches.

  • @metalrave and mike tyson didnt integrate power and technique? im sorry but there is not enough room on this comment section for anyone to convince me rocky would beat a prime joe louis. he was 37 years old had already been previously retired and was flat broke leaving him no other option but to fight past his prime. that isnt even to mention that old man louis was winning the fight. you see "49-0" and your mind says best ever. foreman, louis, ali, frazier, liston, tyson, johnson > marciano

  • @forbesfoofighters Tyson blew himself out after 4-6 rounds. He would go in swinging, yes he did have power and technique but he didnt know how to spar. And yes when I do see 49-0..hmmm never lost...yea think im going to go with greatest Marciano>all

  • @metalrave undefeated doesnt mean shit. edwin valero wasnt the best champion of all time and he ko'd everyone he ever fought. manny is still better than floyd until proven otherwise. rocky doesnt have a resume that can even come close to wins over liston, frazier and foreman. he retired earlier than he should have. im sure if he was still fighting at the age louis was when he fought him he'd have losses too. intelligent fans know that (skill set > record)

  • One thing you have to remember is that when Joe fought Rocky he was out of his prime and had been away from fighting for about two years. The only reason he fought was because the IRS was on his ass all the time, he owed them over $500,000 and he had been offered $300,000 for this fight. The man had no choice but to walk right into the fire. Both men were good, but Rocky was just the tougher and younger one.

  • ROCKY MARCIANO IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!!!

  • @stone141971

    lol not even close

  • Rocky was a good fighter, but came along when all the great fighters were old and past their prime, but you can't take anything against him, he won all of his fights. 49-0. In their prime joe would of won, rocky was a lil guy. And Ali would of killed him..

  • @mitzlerdub Yeah very true, although Charles, Moore, Walcott, are good names on the resume, regardless of age. I think Joe in his prime would have too much arsenal for Rocky to handle. Sonny Liston would of had a wicked scrap with Rocky, and would have won. Foreman would destroy Rocky, Ali would've danced his ass off jabbing, cutting Marciano then stinging him with hard right to finish him. Iron Mike, Evander Holyfield, Joe Frazier and David Tua would all have great scraps with Marciano.

  • @mitzlerdub You really cannot say who would have won because both fighters were good knockout specialists........Ali would not have killed him. Ali in his assessment of all the heavyweight greats said himself that Marciano would have been the hardest to fight because when they were sparring in 69 when Marciano was a 46 year old, Marciano was still awkward to hit. He also said that Marciano was a much better fighter than Frazier............who would have won..........no one knows.

  • I tip my hat to both Louis and Marciano. They were both gentlemen and patriots. If they had met each other in their primes? the outcome might have been different. But on this night "The Rock" was simply the better man. Nothin to be ashamed of . Their both warriors. RIP Rock & Louis we'll never forget either one of you.

  • this video should be called: Rocky Marciano knocks a shell of the real Joe Louis

  • It's an awful pity they both weren't in their prime at the time of this fight - Joe Louis needed the cash, everybody knew he was gona get a whoopin - Ferdie Pacheco said in the SportsCentury documentary about the bout with Marciano, "He [Louis] wasn't just going to lose. He was going to take a vicious, savage beating. Before the eyes of the nation, Joe Louis, an American hero if ever there was one, was going to get beaten up.

  • Louis was only 37 years old..just a kid.

  • Louis is still with a doubt one of the greatest boxers of all time, however Marcioni imo is and always will be the greatest. He had heart man, and determination that is rare

  • @MegaCastigers

bullshit, the best 3 fighters he beat were louis moore and charles, and they were 40 years old each with tons of hard fights in their past. that's why i call marciano the fossil hunter.

  • @Robstailey Well i did comment in my opinion so it seems unfair for you to say my comment was bullshit when for many other people Marciano is still considered the best fighter of all time, if not in the Top Ten. He is always featured in the Top Ten heavyweights of all time lists with few exceptions. I still think he was the greatest he had an unbelievable chin and determination to see things through, he cleverly developed his boxing techniques around is small stature to great effect....

  • "He beat joe lous' ass"......coming to america

  • These are the two bests of all time people...Respect them .. notice how Louis defend well , and how Marciano only aims for the Cgin (he doesnt even care for Jabs). Maybe their strategies an tech niques wont fit in nowadays speed , but are theyr time they werei equal conditions with everybody.THis is teh fight between the guythat never lst and the guy that holded the title for 12 years. Period

  • @woofwoofer

both would easily ko everybody of today.

  • A prime Joe Louis would have KO'd Marciano. Marciano came at a very poor time in boxing, he got knocked down by 40 years old Archie Moore.

Joe was 9-13 years past his best.

  • 5:38 - Louis has nothing left his arms are down by he's waist and Marciano just measures a sicking right hook to the jaw.

I wonder if they had gum shields back then because otherwise that punch would have knock-out half of Louis front teeth.

  • Marciano 49-0-ko43 that a good record but joe was a little old but boxer back then fight way long back then and way more fights Marciano is still one of the best of all time

  • The King of Boxing :D

  • Dois Gigantes,duas lendas!..Joe Louis e Rocky Marciano, eternos!

  • that last punch one of the hardest knock outs in history. joe louis lucky he didnt die from that one.

  • Anyone who thinks any sportsman of 50 years ago in any sport would have a chance against a modern sportsman, knows nothing about the nature of sport. Training techniques, diet and sports science in general are all in a different dimension. Saying Joe Louis would beat Mike Tyson is no more ridiculous than saying the league champions of 1950 would beat a Chelsea or Manchester United of today.

  • @MrJuno6 thats spot on

  • @MrJuno6 Boxing is about the only sport which is an exception to this rule. Fighting; particularly when it comes to absorbing punishment dished out in a sport like boxing, requires mental toughness, courage, heart, character, and determination. And these are the very characteristics that are lacking in athletes of today. Training techniques, in general? Yes, they are more advanced, & so is nutrition. But the fundamental things that need to be inherent in the heart of a warrior, those R lacking.

  • @lggriffin Tony Galento was a good example of what you just said and reaffirms just that,

  • @lggriffin power and physique is more important than mental...look at Ali he was extremely good physique

  • @DaTrixta999 ali was more mentally tough than physically tought, lol, all his opponents looked buffer stronger n in better shape than him, yea to the normal man he has a great physique but to other heavyweight boxers he didn't look good at all, ali was all about confidence, mental toughness and beating his opponents psychologically w his talks n rants and his presence.
