I love the gameplay of L4D2 (besides my hating of the limited use of pushing back) the melee weapons, the level design, it was great. However, as many other people have pointed out, it just wasn't that dark or scary. Not that there's anything else wrong with L4D2 I enjoyed it for what it was but, it just didn't have that atmosphere of dark that the original did. I mean, take a look at just L4D2's soundtrack, can you find one song that sounds like THIS?

i think L4D is better than L4D2 because in L4D2 there is more monsters, meaning it will be harder and kinda cheaty. The tank is stronger in L4D2. The witch walks around instead of crying on the floor. Yes, it sounds fun, but if you keep playing it, the damn chargers and those weird looking thing that jumps on your neck will get on your nerves. The elevator doors in L4D are all dirty and realistic. L4D2 have really clean elevator doors, like if they were new. and L4D is all dark and scary.

they should add a difficulty for L4D3 it should be REALISTIC and if you get bit by a zombie you are going to be one within some time :D but the others wont be alerted about your infection if you dont tell them so you can hang on a little or be a hero and die B4 you go and kill them (when u turn to zombie you should turn into something bigger then the normal ones maybe a charger and you would not be able to control yourself :D

Decent idea but they made a comic explaining the story from the very begining to Bill's sacrifice. In it Francis and Louis have both been bitten but obviously neither of them die or change from it. All the characters are immune to the effects of the virus, so they can only be a carrier.

Left 4 Dead 1's characters were more tolerable, and the overall gameplay felt more... realisitic. The characters didn't react instantly, they took a few seconds to do anything which is how ANY person would react, you wouldn't be like: OH HEY BOOM ZOMBIE IS DEAD 6 MILES AWAY WOO!

In l4d2 most of the maps are in daylight so it takes out the kinda sci-fi horror aspect that l4d had, and makes it more realistic and not as scary

I enjoyed both games alot, but the first Left 4 Dead is my favorite. The game's haunting atmosphere, main characters, and first time experiences I got from the game made it so much more replayable and fun to me as an experienced. However Left 4 Dead 2 is different in the sense that you're not afraid at all and it's more of a zombie shooting spree, but in its own right that the game better than the version in certain aspects. I personally enjoyed both games and don't see why others disliked L4D2.

I like watching the idle zombies, the way they lay around or lean against walls or vomit, they're not undead, they're sick, and valve actually made them act sick. It's the little things like that that really add to a good game. Now all I need is a good graphics card so I can play it properly! >.<

@tendoking48 ATI 4850/4870 can do that no problem, unless you're going 2560 x 1600 resolutions, then it might get a bit choppy maxed out. I myself run on an overclocked GTX 260. Flies through everything i throw at it, especially with the amount i've got on the overclock.

I love how dark and dreary the first L4D was. Left 4 Dead 2 was pretty disappointing to me. The dark feel the first one had was what it would honostly be like. L4D2 was too light hearted and that ruined it for me. I hope (if/when) they make L4D3 they go back to making is dark and depressing...everybody is dead and mutated it -should- be dark and depressing...

The only thing I could really ask more of is to have people in gasmasks and haz mat suits but that is just a idea. The first game was already prefect. the second, I only wish it would've been worked on a bit more to give the natural "Horror" aspect in the game.

L4D1 showed the ever-changing relationships, with fascinating backgrounds and sincere concern for eachother. L4D2 has stereotypes.
