its funny to see that if you count the time from the powerbutton till logon. 95 is faster. but takes longer to build up the whole desktop.

XP is slower in startup till the logon screen appears but instantly loads the desktop after the password is typed in. so in boot up. win 95 wins :P but if you take it to the total of also loading the desktop XP is definitly faster.

@thewooj1 Yes it can still play latest games, just because EA decided to make BF3 run only on DX11, that doesn't mean xp wont play the newest games anymore (EA said that they didn't even plan to make BF3 for PC, so they were just too lazy to make it support dx9 and dx10. Latest official dx for xp by M$ is dx9, there is unofficial dx10 for xp and dx11 doesn't exist for xp yet.. maybe never will)

The test is fubar and means nothing. You can't compare Operating system speeds unless they are both on the exact same hardware. You are comparing what a Pentium 100Mhz to a Pentium 4 3.2Ghz, 32MB Ram to 512MB Ram, 4GB 4200RPM Hard Drive to a 40GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive? a 66Mhz Bus to a 533Mhz Bus?

@Praepotentes it all depends on how much hardware you have on the computer, if i have 50 games that are new from 2009 it would boot up really slow because its a older program and btw windows 95 wouldnt stand a chance booting in 7 seconds it would be about a minute at the least actually.

Windows 7 on the other hand can handle alot because its alot more advanced. now WIndows Vista on the other hand sucks because if it doesnt have anything on it it boots up in like 60 seconds which is pretty bad for a gaming pc with the newest of everything.... so i'm planning on getting windows 7 and then i'll do another test... 95 VS Windows 7.
