@charlesparker80 you know a straight 6 is far more reliable then a V8. Also the straight six is a 5.9Liter and the new ones are 6.7. I dont the the displacement on the new ones but the the older ones are a 359 or 360 depending on whose book you look at. So keep on driving your little 4.6 v8 and I'll keep driving my Straight six Cummins that produces over 400 ft lbs of torque (I know that aint much compared to the Common Rails but I cant afford one).
first off power strokes r international motors. 2nd f-550 and f-650s do have cummins cuz most of fords commercial size trucks have r equipped with cummins. 3rd my dad works on fire trucks for a living very very few have internatioal motors in them but about 98% r cummins powered and thats cuz there the most dependable motor.and yes thy r a dodge motor. dodge is the best company out ther if u ask me cuz if u want durability, toughness, power and torque ur lookin 4 a dodge ram.

statistically one in every 100 cars off a factory line will have major mechanical failure. Toyota put out how many cars that go by themselves or wont stop. Just saying. Dodge has actually made a 12v and 24v... you never hear much of the 12v cause they are rare and were built a long time ago and your right about the inline 6... dodge has never made a V8 diesel.
12v was the first diesel up until 1998.5, at which point they switched to the 24v, which they kept until the switch to the 6.7l, still an l6. the 12v was called the Cummins 6BT. when they switched to the 24v, it was called the Cummins ISB until 2003 when the switched to common rail injection and called it the ISB Common Rail. The current engine is the Cummins B6.7. dodge has never, ever produced a v12 engine, or a diesel of any layout other than l6

The 6.7l cummins is a inline 6. The 5.7 hemi is 347ci not 350. Chevy 350 isnt a hemi.

Dodge has actually made a 12v and 24v... you never hear much of the 12v cause they are rare and were built a long time ago and your right about the inline 6... dodge has never made a V8 diesel.

12v was the first diesel up until 1998.5, at which point they switched to the 24v, which they kept until the switch to the 6.7l, still an l6. the 12v was called the Cummins 6BT. when they switched to the 24v, it was called the Cummins ISB until 2003 when the switched to common rail injection and called it the ISB Common Rail. The current engine is the Cummins B6.7. dodge has never, ever produced a v12 engine, or a diesel of any layout other than l6

Dodge dosnt make any diesels. Cummins make all thier diesels for them. And Cummins makes up to a v16 Diesel. they only use them for off road and marine

@Notagayusername10 WTF are you talking about, im a Diesel Technician at a shop. and im wroking on a ford with a cummins in it as we speak. and cummins makes about 20 motors from little twin diesels to v16s and dodge only used 2 motors,the 5.9 and 6.7. i own a 2006 dodge 3500 with a 5.9l cummins, my dad also has a brand new kw with a ISX cummins in it. DODGE DOES NOT MAKE DIESELS!!! And it would seem that u just fell off the turnip truck ass hole
