  • so sad its like jail

  • A bunch of unresponsive animals jammed into tiny cages with wiring for the bottoms... terrible.

  • dogs dont belong in fish tanks

  • terrible place those poor puppies stay in like 2x2 glass cages with no toys and on a metal

mesh plate just imagine sleeping on that poor dogs :(

  • horrible place

  • no bed.. no blanket.. no toys..

  • Those are from puppy mills.

  • @ppachi2 ya think?

  • Petland is so depressing. :sigh:

  • Dont Shop Adopt!!!!

  • PLEASE DON'T BYE PETS ADOPT ONE ITS FREE THIS IS ANIMAL CRUELTY HOW WOLD YOU LIKE IT IF YOU WHERE IN A TINY ROOM ALL DAY WITH PEOPLE LOOKING AT YOU ITS SICK WHAT WE DO TO THESE POOR HARMLESS ANIMALS WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO DESERVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the metal bars hurt their paws

  • Well considering they will be sold soon I see no problem with this at all.

  • @BaylorSports that isn't the point. Animals are being forced to have puppies over and over again! Some never get human interaction. The parents to these puppies die at very young ages because they are worn out from having puppies! It is wrong! More than 5 million animals are put to sleep every year in the u US alone because there isn't enough space and you think that this is ok?

  • @KristinNcountry And you really think more regulations will fix this? I don't. I think it will simply drive it underground. Be careful what you wish for.

  • @BaylorSports You see no problem with forcing animals to breed and never being loved? There is something wrong with you!

  • @KristinNcountry I believe we have enough regulations already and that there are more important things in the world to worry about. I, however, refuse to question anyone else's motivations or morals.

  • @BaylorSports i don't want to seem witchy or start a fight i just want to state a fact. I think it is awful that there are people that still want to buy these animals. It is wrong that 50% of the world think that dogs are disposable and that this doesn't matter

  • @KristinNcountry You do realize many many people eat dogs right? Did you know American Indians ate dog a lot!

  • @BaylorSports what does that have to do with anything?

  • @KristinNcountry It has to do with your moral and cultural superiority. Some cultures aren't quite so religious about dogs. In fact, most people I run into that are extremely religious about dogs have other problems.

  • @BaylorSports or there just assholes!

  • @KristinNcountry I rest my case.

  • @Autumnmybaby4677

Not to get involved in whatever you're ranting about, animal shelters do walk their dogs a lot. I've volunteered at dozens of animal shelters and they all made it a point to get the dogs outside to run around and play. And if it wasn't nice outside, they let us walk them around inside and play in the viewing area they had. And maybe some Petland's aren't bad, but 95% are. The dogs are kept cramped together with their waste underneath them all day and the ones who aren't super

  • I want to rescue the corgi... And good news! All the petlands i know ofo have been SHUT DOWN!!!

    :)

  • 0:26 why would you laugh at that? the puppy is probably going insane from the discomfort of the small, wire bottom cage that is painful to walk on

  • Those cages are so small! To show what those dogs feel like in their they should put the manger and employees in those cages

  • and they all come from puppy mills the pore things!!!! god help there little soles

  • get educated, your global statements regarding petland(s) and mills shows your total ignorance, get educated check out humanewatch you just might learn something !!

  • AND THE PUPS DO GET SOME EXCERSISE WHEN THEY GET TAKEN OUT TO PLAY WITH PEOPLE LOOKING TO HOPEFULLY BUY THEM

  • they seem to love their cages and petland is not bad! get a life and stop ragging on pet stores, our guinea pigs are from petland and are very, very happy and healthy!

  • THEY R ALL PERFECTLY FINE!!!!!!! Y DONT U PPL GO THERE AND SEE THESE PERFECTLY FINE AND HEALTHY ANIMALS AND SEE FOR URSELF AND GO GET A LIFE! MY DOG WAS ABSOLUTLY FINE AND WE GOT HER HERE!

  • I feel so bad for them they should have petland shut down!

  • There are thousands of puppies being killed in shelters every day... Help them

  • Just like to point out to all the people who blindly follow the HSUS on these things (not dissagreeing on this point just know that they are no better than peta when it comes to propoganda), that we should all remember that Petland Inc, and Petland Canada are 2 completely seperate corporate entities, and that Petland Canada has always had easily the highest standards in the pet trade (aside from private breeders... You really cannot top that.)

  • poor things

  • I got a dog (cockapoo) from a petland and she is perfectly fine! She hasn't gotten sick once and we were able to talk to the breeder before we bought her and she came from a great family!!! I do not support animal cruelty but pet stores aren't so bad and they sell fine puppies

  • @katiels2013 It's not that all puppies you get there will be sick, but the petstores do not keep them properly, they don't get any exercise, and often develope behavior issues w/o intensive training due to being seperated from their littermates and mother too early. The problem is the mills that the store gets them from, even if your dog is fine now, it wasn't before, and if yours turned out okay, it's because you did something right, not because the store did.

  • @Gilliebeany no freaken dAH, THEY CANT RUN A PET STORE AND WALK ALL THOSWE DOGS SHELTERS DONT GIVE THEIR DOGS EXCERSIZE EITHER, SO SHUT UP

  • they could at least put cloth at the bottom

  • I dont think some of the ones in canada are like that. I know the one i work at isnt like that at all.

  • Always buy a puppy from a reputable AKC registered breeder.

  • in the back of pet land i saw throw a door that had a little open there were puppies locked in cages and who knows how long they been there

  • Adopt a dog. Don't buy one.

  • @ToxicMonkies but bying he helps get hem out of a bad place to but i get what ur saying te goodting is 2 pet stores near my house sell rescue cats

  • @TheMonsters20 you might get them out of a bad place BUT your just leaving an empty cage for another dog to suffer. If you wan't to get a rescued or abandoned animals you should consider going to a pet shelter there you will actually save them from being put down.that's awesome that the store near you sells rescued cats, if it is true. many petshops say that their dogs and cats come from abandoned homes or from the street or from being abused from their previous owners...

  • @TheMonsters20 ...or from good responsable breeders but that's what they wan't you to think so you can give them money for neglecting an animal.while the truth is that they come from puppy mills.there is a 95% that the dogs and cat's sold in pet shops are being mistreated or came from mills and buying one DOES NOT stop the neglect your just giving them a reason (money) to keep neglecting these poor creatures. So adopting a pet is the BEST way to be sure that you are helping an animal.

  • @ToxicMonkies Why adopt? What about the poor animals in the pet shop?

  • Adopt a shelter animal. Nuff said.

  • every Petland store is ran independently. There are bad stores out there with owners who make terrible choices in where they purchase their puppies from. But not ALL Petlands are bad. Where I worked, the animals were always #1 and our vet came every week to check on everyone.

  • 0:14 looks like my old puppy frank

  • How any video that is posted about puppies at petland, or petland in general, are about them being in mills....gheese.. .>.>

  • ugly bitch!!! think that is right to have a dog in a cage like that . dumb bitch.

  • I bought my first puppy from petland in 2009, he was and is a healthy mini poodle, I was not aware at the time of these issues involving petland and puppy mills, there are comments that most petlands are reliable and a handful are bad, I don't know if this is true, it has me thinking and aware of the situation now

  • Those poor babies... raised in Puppy mills!

  • i will never buy puppies from PetLand ever! People who buy puppies there are buying from puppy mills, stop all puppy mills! So disgusting , i wish everyone knew the truth about them, I mean look what they also put in their cages , rubber mats even though it's small and they can still lay on the metal floor and from the videos u can tell they look sick , oh my goodness , stop all of them don't buy! Do your research , horrorfic place

  • But but Petland has ferrets.

  • @AwesomeFinder2 yeah ferrets are cool

  • you do realize not EVERY fricken petland is the same? most problems have occured in the STATES. petlands in canada have way more room for them to run around in and they get out to run and play constantly (atleast the one i worked at). the store i worked at doesn't even have breeders. people call them asking if we can take them. they are then vet checked to ensure they are all healthy. saying all petlands are hell is ridiculous. SPCA's kill dogs every day. we find homes for homless puppies

  • i went to america and seen dogs in cages like that and cried cause its illeagal in scotland

  • i sound stupid,, but can somone please tell me wat a pet mill is??? sorry!! :/

  • It's where people have dogs and the use that they have for the adult dogs is to breed them and they keep all the dogs and puppies cruelly confined! They are rarely given proper food or water and are rarely given proper vet care. They are constintely walking and laying in there own and their cage mates feces. And 9 times out of 10 there are around five to ten dogs to about five foot by five foot wire cage, that has no padding for them to step on,or smaller and are often stacked on top of each other!

  • thankss for answering! and that sounds horrible! some people are completly stupid & cruel sometimes!! makes me upset...

  • Holy sh*t! It thought the dog(s) at 0:19 had 2 heads and no tail... ehehe...

  • DOWN WITH PUPPY MILLS I bless the people who take them

  • Poor dogs

  • I bought my dog ( a pekingese ) from Petland over 4 years ago and no health problems. People shouldn't stereotype. These dogs are vet checked and have all shots and worming etc.

  • That doesn't change the fact that your dog and its parents were abused, the latter two for life, for profit in a pet shop and puppy mill.

  • agn stereo type how do u know they were abused

  • For starters, look at this video. Wire floor cages, no socialization, no peace and quiet. A puppy that young must NEVER be left alone. It must be with its mother, or with its new family. The puppies in this video are in pain.

And there are enough puppy mill videos around, I don't have to describe those to you.

You may have been ignorant for buying in a pet shop, but you're a monster for defending the industry.

  • ima buy sum

  • Speak English.

  • I'm going to buy a dog from petland.

  • Go to a proper breeder or a pound instead. Why do you have to make these poor animals suffer?

  • im going to make them suffer by buying them? im proly gona save their life

  • You only make room for another puppy in the pet shop and more money for the mill to breed more puppies.

  • This is All So True and Cruel.. People need to get it through there Fucking Heads (like Kixmgm) that they are Supporting Animal Cruelty when they buy these dogs. Plus my sister bought a dog at petland and paid 1,5000 and the dog wasn't even neutered. we need to face the facts and put a stop to this now. Put petland out of business.

  • @kixmgc yes you will because there are thousands of other puppies suffering and you are just saving but if you don't buy can make a difference because there will be less people buying from then and they'll be out of business.

  • i would never suggest going to a pound to find a dog unless u want to work with behaviour issues. some dogs are lucky and have been treated well but the majority ahve many problems. not to mention supporting the pounds is supporting a death sentence

  • @DressageFreak, Dogs end up in pounds because people with no clue about dogs walk straight into a pet shop or a questionable breeder and pick up an animal that they are completely unable to care for.

In many cases, mostly abuse and mental disorders due to bad breeding, euthanasia is the only humane option, but these lives should be on the conscience of those who put the dogs out there in the hands of these people.

  • are you that fucked up to believe that every fricken petland is invovled with puppy mills? like i said yes there a few who are run by fucked up people, but think logically! over 100 store and they all so happen to be run by people who hate animals? yes because thats soo realistic. the one i work at you are informed of the responsibility, get many books and info about the puppy when it goes home. if theres any issues OR can't look after the dog/puppy we take it back. thats how it is and should be

  • i work at a petland and i can assure you your puppy was treated with care and did NOT come from a mill. mill puppies ALWAYS have issues. yes there are the few f*cked up petlands run by screwed up people but the majory are run very strictly. although i do like at petland (and i mean the ones run by decent people) there are bad ones out there. i for one am unimpressed with this one however.the puppy pens are too small and are all grate. it should not be like that. plus they should all have buddies

  • @DressageFreak, If you want to be taken seriously, do not work at, buy or start a Petland franchise. Doing any business whatsoever with any company or individual that deals with puppy mills is supporting animal abuse.

  • First off, any puppy sold at a pet store comes from a puppy mill, simply because no reputable breeder would leave a puppy with an intermediary, or sell one without approving the family first.

Secondly, entering a franchising agreement with Petland, a company which endorses puppy mills, is despicable on its own, even if you don't deal in puppies.

  • keep living in ignorance ^^

  • keep living as a lackey of the puppy mill industry.

  • honestly, like its possible that every fucking petshop is run by jackasses. you must live in a very unrealistic world. i'm not saying there arnt bad ones out there. i know there are. but there are also good ones.

  • There are good ones, but none of them sell puppies or belong to a chain that doesn't prohibit the sale of puppies.

  • Google puppy mills and you will understand why Petland is DISGUSTING!!!! They absolutely sell sick (mentally & physically) puppies from puppy mills and if they tell you they don't they are lying!!!

  • they can get diseases from the wire mesh

    PETLAND BUYS FROM PUPPY MILLS

  • Dont Buy your dogs They get them From Puppy Mills

  • Thsoe dogs shouldnt be on wire cagess....that must hurt there paws alot

  • petland is a horrible place , all there animals are in improper care , and they ALL come form Animals Mills.!!

Parrot Mills, Puppy mills , and Kittne mills !! Reptiles and Fish caught from the wild to be your " pet " !! DOWN WITH PETLAND !!

  • @AquaTeal334 not all the animals I got a dwarf hamster and it has been living a long time now

  • @AquaTeal334 i agree

  • @AquaTeal334 and theres guinea pig mills, sadley they seemed to of tackelled most speacies, if only people took more care when discideing to get an animal beucase ppl are getting dogs from here because there all cute and in little cages in local petstores like this, but they dont know the hiddious backround they have! and then they all just end up unwanted, in shelters :(

  • go to a shelter. GO TO THE SPCA. DONT BUY PUPPIES FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

  • Considering there is no legal definition of Puppy Mill. Some areas consider anyone who knowingly breeds their pet even one time a puppy mill. I work at a Petland and I enjoy my job, and I know my store's owners actually do care where the puppies go and where they come from. I live in an apartment so I do not have any puppies from work but I do own 3 Petland Rabbits.

  • dont buy a dog from there. They r expensive.

  • those fucking retards i went too pet land and they took my heart and riped it out!!! i hate pet land!!!!!!!! it took bowzer from me! she was the cuttest pikingneeze puppy ever in orlando. and then we came to buy him ,after we visited him for 1 month 2 times each week, and she was sold and they promised me they wouldnt sell her too anyone but me! but she was gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! those mother fuckers!!!

  • Also , they get dogs from puppymills ...

  • at :06 it looks like he's waving!^_^ (all these comments about pet land being bad are really annoying..*rolls eyes*)

  • Do some research before posting!

  • Just got fired from petland today! Was not selling enough puppies. Its hard to sell a puppy that comes from the Hunt Corp. knowing that Hunt gets their puppies from a puppy mill. All Petland cares about is how many puppies they sell, not if they go to good homes. It make me sick to know that these store owners care about nothing more then money, they are some nasty EVIL MOTHER FUCKERS!!!

  • Agreed, people should not buy dogs from petstores, what's wrong with adopting one at a shelter instead?

  • Please consider watching videos of puppy mills because these puppies come from brreders and distributors from puppy mills. Its heart breaking PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM PETLAND, CONSIDER BUYING FROM PET SHELTERS OR ADOPT BECAUSE YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

  • I agree,I only adopt from shelters from now on,I learned the hard way, unfortunately had a sickly Scottie for ten years that came from a back yard breeder(and not a pet store either, thought they were good breeders found out otherwise years later)

  • 00:11 is so cute thanks so mcuh

  • Yes you think like most others. "Well at least I saved her". In actuality, you just contributed to the puppy mill( USDA Breeder )business. So you rescued her? Well the fact is that there will be another cute little puppy in that cage to take her place w/n a day/week.The cycle of supply and demand will continue. Don't shop at Petland, you already bought a over-priced puppy from them. Don't give them any more of your business.

  • oh and I wasn't informed they were associated with puppy mills. If I had known that I wouldn't have got her. But then again I did save her.

  • I bought my long haired dachshund at Petland, last August. She's pefectly fine but after we got her, I was doing research and again will I support the Puppy Mills.

  • How much is that cute dog in the window? Well if it is at Petland , it is expensive and came from a puppy mill. Don't shop there. You will be supporting the puppy mill trade.

  • i got my puppy at pat land

  • Pet Land REALLY SUCKS, i used to work there.. worked there for 7 months in back with the puppies... it was heart breaking.. all the meds i had to give the animals...Horrible... just horrible

  • I volunteer at our SPCA and pet stores make me sooo mad, there are so many dogs that need homes because of pet stores

People should adopt instead of buying dogs, when you buy a dog,you kill one at a shelter

  • i think it's depressing watching dogs caged up like that for most of the time. especially when all the workers are gone. what's even more sad is that they are the products of puppy mills. true, i love dogs and those are adorable puppies but definitely research puppy mills. it's a sad sad story.
