  • A lot of people, myself included, have never owned a microwave and don't want one. So it's best not to assume everybody has access to one.

  • I found a better way. poke a couple of holes in it with a skewer, wet it down and microwave it for about 5 minutes to soften the skin. You will not need lumberjack strength to cut it!.

  • There is a quicker & safer way than using a Sharp Knife and a Raw spaghetti squash

    First - Prick the raw spaghetti squash all over with a skewer or knife tip (about 30 times) so it will not burst while baking in the oven.

    • Place whole squash in a shallow baking pan.

    • Bake in preheated 375º F oven for 1 hour. When cool enough to handle, cut spaghetti squash in half lengthwise with a serrated knife.

    Scoop out Pulp & Seeds with a spoon.

    Now use a Fork to scrape the flesh into spaghetti or vermicelli strands and serve with your favorite sauce
