@JingTheKingOfBandits The light controlled your muscles and made you do stuff, but because Jarrod built up an immunity, he gained control of what the light did to him, and in turn he learned how to control his muscles and he made himself stronger. So, his alien form is also a lot stronger because of this. So, if they actually get to make a sequel we're going to see some amazing, dramatic, ass kicking shit.

This movie wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. It was okay. That's it! It had some cool things happening with its effects, but that was it. What we saw was another attempt at the Strause Brothers trying to tell a story about an alien invasion with too many people trying to interact in a "real" fashion by having a scenario based mostly around disagreements. Are they good at writing out dialogue? No. But what they can do is deliver a shoddy movie with a few cool moments of action. It was okay.
This last part of the movie rocks as hel.Can't belive this is the end , it's awsome i hope there is another part. But if it was a vedio game it would be above the minds

I don't know why everyone keeps bashing this movie. I liked it because it shows the futility of resistance unlike other films. The plot wasn't too predictable/cliche (i.e. death of the black guy in the beginning, the fact they don't escape, the last scene where the main character is placed in the body of the alien.) Critics complain of the limited scope of the plot, but I believe in a real emergency situation, the average person won't find too much information about what's going on anyway.

But the real problem of the movie was that several characters in it were simply cannon fodder and it was so obvious it hurt. And I don't know about you, but a movie that does not manage to make you care for the characters at all kind of failed. If your reaction is "Oh look, he died. Next." something defenitely went wrong.

You're totally right, but the filming wasn't as good as it should be. It has some bright moments tho. I think that the Strause could become good directors if they keep working on it. Maybe the should make a drama to learn some basic filming skills and then go back to sci-fi.

This movie wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. It was okay. That's it! It had some cool things happening with its effects, but that was it. What we saw was another attempt at the Strause Brothers trying to tell a story about an alien invasion with too many people trying to interact in a "real" fashion by having a scenario based mostly around disagreements. Are they good at writing out dialogue? No. But what they can do is deliver a shoddy movie with a few cool moments of action. It was okay.

I don't know why everyone keeps bashing this movie. I liked it because it shows the futility of resistance unlike other films. The plot wasn't too predictable/cliche (i.e. death of the black guy in the beginning, the fact they don't escape, the last scene where the main character is placed in the body of the alien.) Critics complain of the limited scope of the plot, but I believe in a real emergency situation, the average person won't find too much information about what's going on anyway.

@VideoHunter13 Mhm. I give the movie points for the effort, but it was no masterpiece either. At least the ending was really well thought out. But the real problem of the movie was that several characters in it were simply cannon fodder and it was so obvious it hurt. And I don't know about you, but a movie that does not manage to make you care for the characters at all kind of failed. If your reaction is "Oh look, he died. Next." something defenitely went wrong.

Yeah if you want a more unrealistic version of this movie go watch Independence day.
I thought this movie was a cross between steven kings The mist, cloverfield and a dab of district 9.
I'm not sure i can say this was better than the mist but it was faster paced and somewhat less depressing, the mist was a bit of a downer at the end.

You're totally right, but the filming wasn't as good as it should be. It has some bright moments tho. I think that the Strause could become good directors if they keep working on it. Maybe the should make a drama to learn some basic filming skills and then go back to sci-fi.

@robiejoe ppl who think this movie is bad are probably spoiled kids who got everything they wanted growing up and cant handle something not going the way they wanted. deal with it, jared is an alien now and he probably didnt win the fight at the end and no he will probably not get to be with his gf and kid no more and plus they probably both died. its just a movie. deal with it and go tell your mom to go buy u a new toy or something to make u happy.

@LoserBo1 ok. first off your "you want a toy?" thing is not funny nor clever in any way at all. second. insults towards mothers and stating anything about having "two homo dads" is old, cliche and just plain idiotic. with that said. the effects were cool in this movie. that was it. there was no explanation at all, it was half way unrealistic and the whole movie consisted of people running around with a metal thing shining blue lights in the background with an occasional "sneaking around" scene

@LoserBo1 I can accept the good movie like District 9 & Cloverfield, but I cannot accept a garbage like this film when it was hacked from many movies like The Matrix, Face/Off, Cloverfield, War of The World, and District 9. Sometime you should have let it go and move on from someone who hate the movie you like, and not every low budget movies had to be as good as District 9. So it's sucks and everyone don't like it, no matter how much you like it. All right, motherfucker!
