kpop stars perform more often on a smaller scale... cause they have a smaller audience in general in south korea.. when you're a star in china/taiwan, you have the WHOLE country plus southeast.. its just a different kind of popculture, you're not going to see any single kpop group or performer putting on a show of jay chou's magnitude.. its generally only small groups of dancers and the performer.. they couldnt fill up half the stage^^

If you are saying mandarin singers are inferior in dancing just based on this performance, you might want to know that Jay is mainly a singer and only employ what he called slight movements during concerts.
not based on this performance and you are right about singers vs performers vs dancers. just something i observed of late. perhaps mandarin and canto based singers just don't want to acquiesce to american hip hop - but i just feel when i compare the top artists in cpop vs those of american and kpop - the fluidity and intensity of movements are not even close.
the corollary is that many US and korean artists do lip sync their harder dancing songs. i think chinese music is only recently adapting to more conventional hip hop whereas japan and korea jumped on that train earlier so have more trial/error development
Agree. Think its what the different market looks out for. Most of the mandarin market follows K-pop and American pop cultures very closely, so they can get their needs for dance entertainments fulfilled from there. Thus the lack of demand gives mandarin singers the reason to stop trying in these fields

身為忠誠的杰迷,我真的很想建議雪糕老師,我看了杰倫每一場的演唱會,杰倫的舞台特效,燈光.數位畫面.......甚至服裝(尤其是超時代那場的衣服超棒的),都一直有進步ㄟ~就是舞群,跟別人的演唱會比(如劉德華.張學友),舞步較不整齊,也比較沒有power,2010超時代的女舞者就很棒,但男的就有不熟練的感覺,潘帥這場舞蹈,就很棒!我相信杰倫也可以!
