  • good job at keepin the serpentine belt system. much better that way

  • Sounds like a Lil Jon beat.

  • i like what u did to ur truck

  • that would sound alot better with headers. go with full tubes

  • did you make those breather holes

  • If money permits, i would look into some headers. Mild cams love to make your engine breathe. And its kinda a pain in the ass but if you get yourself a set of used vortec heads for around $200, you could prolly gain 60hp with the heads and headers. Those tbi heads are one of the worst flowing heads gm has ever made. Nice sounding truck

  • Nice engine. could use a new truck to put it in lol

  • i need to switch mine to carb. i got a 88 chevy 4x4 with a 3 in body lift and 33 in tires. the fucking tbi is shit. but its got a jasper re man 350 with a tm400 with a corporate 14 bolt rear i want to swasp a holly truck avenger carb in it cam and headers. i took off the catalitic converter and put a cherry bomb pro exaust on it tho.its sounds mint. well other than the exaust leaks hahaha but oh well

  • alright so all you did was got a new intake, a carb, and a new cam?

  • @btman2 i think some of these guys arent getting it??? THE HEADS ARE WHERE THE POWER IS MADE!! ID RATHER PUSH A CHEVY HOME THAN BE SEEN IN A FORD!!!

  • @SPEEDFREKIN Yeah definitely ..... If you want the most power a set of good heads is where you will make it. Everything else will add to that...

  • I dont care how much rust a car/truck has as long as its a chevy

  • Love to see an installation video lol thinkin bout tryin to do it myself

  • At what temp does the carb or TBI get too cold?

I see no warm air duct to the air cleaner.

    Or does it matter?

  • @seapeddler 40-45 F. ITS GETTING COLD BUT COLD AIR AND COLD FUEL IS A GOOD THING

  • lol kiddin. nice truck. i love tbi its the way to go! more people should soupe them up. they run strong

  • In this video the timing was not right for sure. It inst stock though... Also the camera does not do it justice as far as sound goes. Thanks for the comment.

  • @Gezelem2002

    sounds good..

    i have a 94 GMC Sierra.

id like a larger cam but, livin in Cali with strict emission laws/smog i cant really do much.

every aftermarket part and,or performance part out here needs a C.A.R.B / E.O number and, there isnt much to choose from..

  • @northsider707 ILL TAG IT FOR YOU IN OKLAHOMA, HAHA THEN YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT, AND WHEN YOU PASS BY THE SMOG STATION WAVE FOR ME, I WAS IN SOCAL FOR 10 YRS.

  • that dont have a cam. its stock with an intake.listen to it

  • I dont think it sounds weird at all. I like it.

  • Aww i was really hoping for a rev or 2

  • I apologize. I mainly put this video on here to see how well the Kodak camera did. I Didn't really think many people would watch it. Crazy I should make another one just about the details of the cam swap........ Thanks for watching....... :)

  • does all your guages still work?

  • what trans do you have?

  • sorry so late of a response.. It has a 700r4 in it.

  • Did you buy a kit to switch it from a throttle body or did just switch the intake and put a carb on

  • just switched it out and put a carb on it. also put a mechanical fuel pump on it as well.

  • sounds like shit

  • Dude if you read in the side bar it tells you it sounds like crap due to the camera . Its no monster truck by any means. It a Daily Driver...............

  • what all do you have to do to the tranny to make it work and how about the computer in it do you just cut the wires of take it all out and what all does taking it off affect??

  • @billybadazz11... The 700r4/4l60 is not computer controlled like the 4l60e. the lock-up is controlled by the brake lights.

  • naw i mean your kickdown and stuff from the motor and how much crap do u take out when u un hook the computer

  • @billybadazz11 Oh sorry... All you would have to do is is buy a bracket for the carb's linkage to connect the throttle valve cable,Throttle valve cable, shorter drive shaft, torque converter. im not totally sure but if your vehicle is a 88-> c/k truck it should have the lockup wires and every thing. i say that cause i swapped my th400 to a 700r4 in my 88 and had everything i just had. to find a drive shaft out of a truck with a stock 700r4.

  • without MAP sensor and the computers RPM reading off the electronic distributor with the TBI unit you won't get proper lock up and you'll eat fuel and burn out the transmissions clutches due to improper cooling in no time at all

  • @billybadazz11 but if you all ready have a 700 with tbi all you would have to do is by a braket for the carb to hook up the tv cable. hope some of that helped lol. sorry if that was not wat you were looking for. i rambled.

  • naw man that helps thank ya and on the guages thats what im thinkin bout doin to i want to put all autometer cobalt guages in my truck check it out when u got the time thanks again

  • @billybadazz11 i would say you could just take it all out and use analog gauges

  • actually on the 87 and newer chevrolets the lock up IS controlled by the computer via voltages read off the MAP sensor the brake light switch merely cancels lock up when its stepped on. there is no vacuum switch like the older vehicles its concider the auxilary valve body set up

  • did u keep the distributor that it had before you switched it to carb?

  • Sorry didnt answer all your questions. Also about the fuel pump. I kept the electric pump in the tank and also added a mechanical pump to it as well and put a regulator between the mechanical pump and the carb. I did put a standard HEI Distributor in it as well for 79.00 bucks from jeggs. Hope that helps.

  • so you kept the original distributor and fuel pump? how much better did it run after you got rid of the tbi?

  • It actually runs a lot better, and better throttle reponse tool.

  • wow that is the sharpest looking video ive ever seen on youtube im sorry bout the rust bro i am thankful i live in arizona

  • very nice sound how much were the cams??? im thinking on geting some for my 05 silverado

  • It cost around $280.00 cam and lifters from Jeggsdotcom. Hope that helps.

  • thanx for the info...

  • @Gezelem2002 what cam did u get?? cuz i have the exact same truck just different color..i have a brand new engine and a brand new 700R4 tranny...im wantin to put a cam in mine too...itd be helpful if i knew exactly what cam u have so i can get it too

  • @jarred5211992 problem is he needs headers for flow, and also if you put it in a engine with throttle body heads they die at 4000 rpm, they are swirl pot heads. you lose all your power. its a mutha thumper it needs headers shorty headers work good because if you bottom out you dont ruin the headers you can replace that piece of pipe.

  • @Gezelem2002 do u have the part number or link for tht cam u have?

  • @Gezelem2002 do u have the part number or link for tht cam u have? if so itd be greatly appreciated

  • Thanks for the info!

  • sounds great! did you just change the cam, or did you do other stuff to the motor? thinking of putting one in my 67 camaro project .

  • Just changed the cam out and changed the intake and added a carb to it. thats it.

  • what does DD mean

  • It means Daily Driver. :)

  • [[[[THIS TRUCK LOOKS LIKE SHIT]]]

  • Dude the point of this video was to really show the How well the ZI6 did on an up load on youtube. The truck was given to my brother for free. We Used the truck just to have somthing to throw on youtube.

  • I like it, there are far too many trailer queens and street machines out there. This is an average pickup truck, prbly a DD, with a little work under the hood.

  • the ultimate sleeper

  • Hey Thanks !! Yea this truck has been a DD for years. My brother just thought he would try these newer thumper cams to see how it would it do. And its still a DD truck. Thanks again.

  • nice..., but you coulda gave us a lil rev no?
