@WaterMelonsXD Not actually, they recorded a demo tape the day Noel wrote it. Because there is a tv appeareance where there are a lot of changes. This is most likely the demo tape they recorded, and the studio version be, well, another one. Noel himself said it, only Slide Away and another song he couldn't recall made it from the original Definitely Maybe sessions.
I play it exactly like that except instead of an A in the verse I play an A without holding the G String (I think it's an A sus 2, but not sure). It fits the song better when you pick the strings in the album version intro also.
there is no demo to supersonic ! this is just an acoustic version done at a later date
supersonic was writen and recorded on the day and the track on def maybe is basically the demo cause it was never changed or re-recorded , its the original mix
I'm pretty sure this version is the one they played at a Virgin megastore in a marquee for or after the release of definately maybe. And I think they were nearly fighting with some moron in the crowd!
on the definitely maybe dvd, they say that noel wrote the song in the studio and they did the entire song (as it is on the album) that night, were they all lying?
if this version or the album version were to come out today, it would crush anything else on the top 40. Missing the days when oasis we kicking blur's ass and taking names.
Don't get me wrong. I like Oasis just fine, but I don't really see why it's always gotta be a comparison to Blur. They're different, and Blur evolves and changes, whereas Oasis grates on my nerves with all this Beatles imitation/referencing shit. Oasis is good in and of themselves, not building off something else's renown and sound constantly; they don't need it. =/
Huge difference between imitation and referencing. What really grates my nerves is that people keep calling Oasis Beatles imitators because the Sun newspaper said it years ago but if they actually knew how there songs were constructed (which i do) they would realise they are absolutely nothing like the Beatles.

You know that the album version of Supersonic was recorded on the day it was wrote so this can't be a early version. It's a radio session.

This isn't a demo. Supersonic was recorded the day it was written. This is a BBC 1 recording I believe.
