  • That approach and landing was:

    1. Very dangerous.

    2. in violation of policy of any major airline I have ever flown.

    3. extremely unprofessional.

    And these guys know it. If they did this intentionally, they have no business flying passenger flights.

  • @rodrigoborgesflores the "legacy" line of Embraer aircraft includes the 135, 140, and 145. Two new legacy business jets were announced at NBAA 2008 called the Legacy 450 and 500. They are completely new business jets designed from the ground up.

  • In a large aircraft you cross the threshold at 50ft, not lower. These guys just wanted to vacate the runway at that turnoff.

    It was an unprofesional approach and landing. Especially with the laughing added in, they knew they were being naughty!

  • @abo944 what's the problem with the laughing? Shoud they stay sad all over the flight to make a professional flight? They're human being and love what they do..just that.

  • That was right on the numbers. I kept watching the PAPI and i kept saying to myself, power, power, power, POWER!!!! hehehe. But that was a real nice landing.

  • You know, when I leaned to fly we were taught to put it right on the numbers. If you follow the vasi/papi it'll put you into the touchdown zone so you finally end up a thousand or fifteen hundred feel down the runway. Nothing is more useless than altitude above you and runway behind you. That was a well executed approach and landing.

  • u have to know that this is a kinda small plane so it can land quicker then the a320s and the 737s.

    it lands like a crj 700 \

  • the 145 has a lower vref speeds than a 320 or 737 145 have a slower approach speed

  • checklist could have finished 5 seconds before camera started rolling. although, papi's where 3 red for most if not all of final approach so too low n landed early on a long runway, not kewl.

  • If they where out of one engine it is normal that they landed early on runway because they canot use thrust reverse, and there was raining so they can't brake with full braking power...;)

  • In a Jet you usually land 3 red one white..... for your info

  • maybe they were trying to get to the gate quicker... like you know everything that was going on in the 1st place?

  • a Short field landing on that runway in my opinion was uncalled for, it looked like a very uncomfortable landing

  • The Legacy 600 is based on the ERJ135. The Legacy 500 is a completely new aircraft, with no relation to any ERJ.

  • kinda impossible for this video to be from 16 years ago. erj145's 1st flight was in 95 and its first delivery to an airline in 96. besides the video quality in this vid is far better than the 90s lol. probably misunderstood him :P.

    The Legacy is the Business Jet (BJ) version of the Embraer 135, not the 145!!!

  • Who gives a fuck if it's "short" As long as you land on the runway most importantly, and past the piano keys, then you're fine. And yes, he was slightly low on the PAPI
