Other dude = Charlie Witherspoon (UTV legend) I loved the fast paced format of this show from the dodgy photofits to the stick on arrow showing the crime scene. Crimecall, Crimebeat or whatever the new one is called I dont think its as good.... On Police Six you always got a wee pun from the presenter to finish the show off every week.
A shame we didn't get an arrow superimposed any of the photos. Maybe UTV spent the Police 6 budget on brown paper to use as the background for those police phone number card slides.
Always liked when the "typewriter" kicked in on the Police Six theme.
Well said I always tuned in on a Thursday night about 6.25 when this was on I'm old enough to remember Charlie Whetherspoon... but only in colour! Don't forget the dodgey cardboard photofits. I might have an extended version of the theme tune somewhere on an old Betamax tape..... but I'm still after the IBA theme tune called The Antrim Rd another Ulster Television classic.
