  • I really miss eating her Wheat Thins!

  • I didn't know Squeaky Fromme had a tv show?

  • She sells real estate in Fresno now.

  • Sandy Duncan had a lot of appeal in these days as did Karen Valentine. In the wake of the Mary Tyler Moore show, it was hoped they would carry on this theme of the budding independent woman theme. Sadly, like most actresses, once their "youth" began to fade, so did their careers, one inequality that was not so easy to overcome for women then or now.

  • I remember the show, though I DID NOT realise how much the opening credits were like Mary Tyler Moore's... except Sandy didn't throw her hat up in the air in Nocellet Mall and have some vinegar-drinking old lady glare at her...

  • I swear I saw her glass eye roll by.

  • No,that was another one of your marbles that you keep losing.RESPECT DUNCAN!

  • @zamusicza A lot of people think she has a glass eye, but she's actually blind in one eye from a brain tumor.

  • "No-one who wouldn't go for the kind of girl she is"...

Especially the type of guy who'd go for a chick with one more orifice than the typical girl has.

  • I always liked her and felt sorry for her when her second show bombed.

  • And THAT's why you don't stick your head out the bus window, kids...

  • i wish i knew who wrote the show 's lovely theme song. it took me back to those days. i love it. when was the last time Sandy Duncan had been seen?

  • @troyboy7962 I found out the answer to your question. Written by Alan and Marilyn Bergman, and Dave Grusin. I was curious, also. I used to watch the program and loved the theme song. Very pretty, light, and breezy.

  • Is this the squeaky fromme show?

  • SANDY DUNCAN's GLASS EYE...Family GUy

  • This was her second sitcom. Her first, "Funny Face" was an overnight hit...until she had eye surgery, then the show itself was cancelled due to a big rating drop. She was one of my favorites growing up!

  • O No She DntTTT!

  • on the bus straight to the bar

  • I didn't know Squeaky fromme had a tv show? was this before manson?

  • she moved to mexico city?

  • Hi this is good.I like Sandy Duncan I have seen she in Disney-film.

    the picture-quality is bad.

(Sorry for my bad english.I,m only 13 and german)

  • @Lydiavandyke3000 she appeared on the Million Dollar Duck with Dean Jones who was a Disney regular and The Cat From Outer Space. The latter was the last film done by the late Norman Tokar

  • I Loved Sandy Duncan When I Was A Little Boy She Was Great On Funny Face Could Never Understand Why The Show Was Canceled? Until Recently Hope You Live A Full And Happy Life You Are Great Happy Easter Sweetheart. Sweet Dreams Love The Sneedster

  • I was 5 when this show was on and I loved it ... I couldn't understand (back then) why it wasn't on anymore.

  • Is the Jack Jones intro posted?

  • Props to Taylorville Illinois. The unofficial Christmas Capital of Illinois!!!

  • Uh, what?

  • It's a shame that they don't show these on TV anymore, it would be a wonderful show, I hope they put it on DVD.

  • Sandy Duncan's first show was called "Funny Face." Sadly, she got in an accident and nearly died. She has a glass eye. When she was finally able to work again "Funny Face" was re-tooled into the inferior "Sandy Duncan Show." A tragic accident put an end to a really funny and clever comedy.

  • Oh, for God sakes! Despite what people thing/hear/whatever, Sandy Duncan does NOT have a glass eye. She did lose her sight in her left eye, but it was due to a tumor behind the eye, which damaged the optic nerve. Let me say it again...she does NOT have a glass eye!

  • Okay, okay, but "The Sandy Duncan Show" was still not as good as "Funny Face!"

  • I am in agreement with you; Funny Face was wonderful; and the Sandy Duncan Show didn't measure up, but at least, they did give it a try.

  • I wonder how much scheduling had to do with her early success ? Wasn't Funny Face scheduled right after All In The Family and right before Mary Tyler Moore? When "The Sandy Duncan Show" aired it didn't have that same cushy time slot ..Just a thought...

  • Ya know, you could well be right about that. Very shrewd to consider that as an option. :)

  • I just remember that her career never really recovered the energy it had, because she was so hot when Funny Face was on the air. It's too bad. She was always a wonderful performer.

  • I remember the reason why Funny Face ended was because Sandy Duncan had cancer; when she made the The Sandy Duncan Show, I remember that her character no longer had the cutesy naivete; she became a little serious and less slapstick, and viewers knowing her history, no longer found her funny; kind of sad. Just my opinion...

  • The series was a success and was a Top 10 show, but Duncan began experiencing severe headaches on the set and a tumor was discovered on her optic nerve. She had to leave the series and it was consequently pulled from the air. Following a lengthy and delicate operation, the doctors managed to save her eye but she lost all vision in it.

  • .......The following year the show was revamped and retitled. This second incarnation of her series (above) failed to regain the audience that the first incarnation had had. It was canceled by mid-December.

  • Who do you think wrote it on IMDB? So you are way off on your criticism. We'll give you an F for today but next time actually know what you're talking about.

  • sign, She did not have a car crash,,she had a brain tumor and does not have a glass eye.

  • Sandy Duncan is so cute!
