  • 0:23 Must have just smoked a bowl between part 2 and part 3 of this review... :D

  • I heard boards are super cheap at Vegas!

  • Maybe the deck is mellow because it would flip away from you, and because it is a small deck, maybe because it is to help you control your tricks

  • What skate park is that?

  • @MrMrmegalolz

Heya, that's the Dreamland park in Hammond, Louisiana... corner of South Oak and West Coleman! Cheers!

  • u think 100$ is alot for a deck in canada wher i live no matter wath shop you go to any deck is like 80 to100 $ unless you get a blank for like 60$ it sucks

  • @jul7254

True, my comments were strictly based on the price at the time in USD... no telling how much that thing cost up there for my northern neighbors!

  • @grimcity $120 in australia for a girl or somthing

  • people say indys are really heavy is that true??

  • @warmfridga depends wath model you get i got the stage 10 andrew reynolds and they have a pretty average weight but you dont realy a truck thats too light or it will feel like your fliping a piece of paper around if you know wath i mean but indys are the best and if your looking into buying new trucks i recomend em 100%

  • ok well thanks

  • so a good truck will turn quicker

  • @warmfridga

A good truck feels good to you... for me, a good turn is important, but different people like different stuff, you know?

  • im thinking of getting thunders but what do people mean when they say a truck has good turning??

  • @warmfridga

...when you lean (either toe or heel side) and the board begins to turn... different trucks have different characteristics.

  • @grimcity what brand of trucks do you reccomend for somebody below 100 pounds (young person)

  • @warmfridga ive had thunders for a long time, they are good

  • and do u use the trucks still or do u prefer other brands

  • @warmfridga

Nah, personally I hate Tensors. I tend to stick with Indy and Thunder.

  • i dont know i just want light trucks that wont break on me??

  • so are the trucks worth buying or not???

  • @warmfridga

Do the trucks in the video look like trucks you'd like to ride?

  • dude you're so fucking good at manuals...

  • hey, have you tried the p2s? i wanted to learn more about them, but they seem relatively new and no reviews (good reviews) have been put up

  • when you review you take us on adventures

  • @Enjoi39jo

Haha, that may very well be one of the most awesome comments I've ever read! Wow, thanks! Cheers Enjoi!

  • @grimcity your welcome just keep on making awesome reviews you got some talent! :)

  • U GOT SOME NICE TRICKS ON VERT HEY BY THE WAY DOES THE BOARD FEELS STRONGER?

  • that looks like a sick skate shop where is it?

  • @keith644

Thanks! My homie's shop is located in downtown Hammond, Louisiana. We're in between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Cheers!

  • @grimcity cool your welcome i am from M.A but if i am ever in Louisiana i will check it out

  • lol bake a braceplate lol XD

  • the hammer part was funny :))

  • your a great skateboarder man and dont let anyone tell you different and I find all your videos inspiring keep skating and jw have you ever smoked weed you look like you have had a few in your day haha

  • I meant to say take your skate tool and hammer and tighten them. Sorry :(

  • If you don't want tensors to turn by them selfs then take you skate and a hammer and hammer the hell out of em till they feel tight~i like tight trucks. Plus I had those same ones but they lasted me 7 months duh I don't I grind I freestyle- you know like pogos, rail stands, caspers, other stuff. Would you recmend the uber light for freestylers A.K.A Rodney mullen the 1980s. Nice skating! Live in the new Orleans, long live dreamland Hammond!

  • i really like your reviews

  • @cujo1990

Thanks, cujo! I really appreciate it, homie!

  • @grimcity i wuz bout to get some tensor responses but something tld me to look at a review n im glad i did lol but yeah man im lookin forward to more reviews man

  • thank you very much, that was very helpful because i may buy a 3 decks, 2 almost and 1 element board deal for 120 dollars which all consist of the tensor trucks and the same model you had displayed

  • you do know that tensor has a lifetime guarantee for all the trucks that they make right? if u send the cracked truck to them they'll send you a free one

  • Man, I got a STEAL today. I picked up this deck for 49.99 at West49, no joke. I was shopping for shoes at the outlet store and they JUST pulled it out from the backroom as I was paying!

  • How much were those trucks?

  • @BDASkaters

They were beta trucks, before they went to market. The stuff was sent from Dwindle.

  • @grimcity You got 'em free?

  • @BDASkaters Well yeah, but on the condition that I'd review them.

  • @grimcity Would they brake if just anyone skated 'em?

  • @BDASkaters I'm not sure how to answer that.

  • @BDASkaters yea i'm not real good and my truck broke on the first month

and all i did was kickflip off a three step and they just snapped

so i recomened you dont buy them

but i'm not sure if they were just mine

i got the tensor magnesium response

  • Sick Skating

  • Dude u skate good as fuck for your age!!

  • @kevinsingasong Ah, thanks man... I'm just fortunate that I get to roll at all! Too fun to quit! w00t! Cheers Kevin!

  • I do believe that it would dramatically improve the reflection curve of the mounted zebra if you took the pony's hairy ass and placed it behind the monkey's testicles and then made the fine china excrete feces on the european slut bag.

  • @Generalveggieman You raise some very important issues that I undoubtedly ignored while making this review. Well, I can't say ignore completely... the Zebra, pony's ass and the monkey sack wasn't an issue, nor was finding a Eurotrash receptacle, but making fine China pinch a loaf was much more time consuming than I realized it would be, so the whole system had to be abandoned.

Good lookin out though... I'm still trying to resolve the issue with the China poop, though Tupperware works sometimes.

  • grimcity do you smoke pot?

  • @circakid123456 I sincerely sound like a stoned nerd all the time. It's my curse. haha

  • Thanks Grimcity for the time you take in ALL of your informative reviews and valuable opinions. You've got my mark man.

  • @Gosen3 Thanks for the nice words, Gosen, I sincerely appreciate it! I'm just a wordy nerd who loves to roll, y'know? Roll forever man!!!

  • 6:16 he looks like jonny noxvile

  • Pretty good review, well documented.

What do you think about Almost's normal decks? Would you say they're better than Uberlight? Since they are cheaper than the Uberlight boards.

  • Impacts I've heard is amazing, I just got an uber light today.. Gonna try it out tomorrow.

  • Just bought a new board the other day, Almost Chris Haslam 'Shit Hits The Fan' 8" deck, Independent Andrew Reynolds 'Stage 10' Trucks, Almost 52mm 'Blow Up' wheels, and Wow are they amazing to skate with. I highly recommend Almost products.

  • i could tell u didnt like the setup but u didnt want to bad mouth almost or the trucks or anything

  • i want YOUR opinion. silvers a class, thunders, ventures superlite lo, or tensors response. i skate all street and technical. no parks. not that many grinds

  • @pwnfingerskill7

If I were buying for myself, I'd probably get the Thunders. But that's just me!

  • oh ok, thanks for your help, what do you think about silvers

  • @pwnfingerskill7 indys are a bit heavy for my kind of skating. do you like ventures by any chance?

  • @pwnfingerskill7

I've never ridden 'em. I'm really into Indy though. They're pretty muc all I ride on my own setups.

  • @pwnfingerskill7 i have silver a class trucks right now, an first off, they feel very heavy to me.out of all of my friends boards, mine is the heaviest due to the weight of the truck. they are okay at grinding too. but since ur an all street skater, maybe silvers wouldnt be your first pick because they are heavy and hard to spin

  • @pwnfingerskill7 go for venture superlite i have them for a 1 year and i have no problems what so ever its a great truck with is properly not the fastest turning but its still a very soild good truck which u can ride in kind of style

i skate street myself and i luv my venture

    i recommend them

  • could you please recomend me a deck and some trucks.. and weels... xD i am 14 about 5'7 :D

  • plz what are the best and lightest trucks i could have?

  • I can't really tell you what the best trucks are because everyone has their own preferences... as far as lightness goes, that's debatable... Thunder has models with a hollow kingpin or Titanium axles, some are made of titanium, Indy low 129's are light compared to larger trucks, Tensors are light (though I'm not a fan), Grind Kind makes some light trucks but people either love or hate them. The thing is, the weight difference between the heaviest and lightest trucks is only in ounces, not much.

  • @grimcity thanks man at lest it helped me.

i think i gonna try grind king cuz i heard good stuff about it.

    thanks dude.

    btw i love your vids

    subscribing! XD

  • Hope you dig your trucks, and thanks homie!

  • I had rodney mullens pro tensor trucks, and i loved them, but they do tend to turn their own whay. i recomend geting bones bushings because when i put them on, I didnt have to break in my trucks

  • Were those tensors you had Magnesium response or just regular tensors btw which are better and which did this guy have

    thnx

  • you should do a review on the flip p2 baords i have one the AMAZING

  • Your skating reminds me of Rodney Mullen.

  • I wish! Thanks homie!

  • Great videos man...so great that im going to subscribe

  • Thank you, I appreciate the kind sentiment! Hope you had an awesome holiday!

  • but in the end do you think i should try my luck and buy a pair of tensors

  • Bro, were you baked? Because you stuttered a lot and then said "bake a brace plate" hahaha

  • No, just no script. If I had been stoned I'd probably have sounded a lot better, haha.

  • stupid video

  • It took you three parts to figure that out?

  • im a fan of indy forged foil love em the turn soooo proper

  • I haven't ridden the forged yet, but I hear ya... Indys are just sooooo good. They always come correct!

  • i know but is it normal for the bushungs to smush

  • not my independents... i got my first pair for christmas and i only had them for 6 days and only skated them for 4 and then they just exploded and broke and pices flew everywhere so the lesson i learned is stick with thunder

  • Thunder and Indy are made at the same foundry at Deluxe... sounds like you got a wack batch with an air bubble or something. Either way, Thunders are great too.

  • kool review i watched all threee at one shot. Very fair review good work!

  • wow, awsome man, also, Have you ever tries/Owned a Fracture deck? theres not too many reviews out there, and was wondering if theyre alright to buy

  • Sorry for my delayed response, ravenshield... I've never tried Fracture before... I can't really speak on them, but I'll do some studying up! Cheers!

  • Its fine Mate, And thanks Alot

  • thanks for the review man keep em comming

  • good skating just the filmer blows

  • Ha, yeah, my buddy who did some of those clips wasn't that experienced with filming. What can a guy do though, right? haha

  • i have a question is that deck like skating a mini

  • its shorter. and its about 7.75" wide

  • dude ur good at nose manuling o and ur pretty good at skating u might want to think about making trip tips cause u can explain things pretty good well my tensors are great but evryone has different experiances my set up is enjoi rasta panda deck, tesor responce trucks, ricta clear purple wheels, bones reds bearings and enjoi little buddies hardware

  • yeh dude my setup is almost exactly the same except the bearings i have r rush abec 9 and the hardware is lucky 1"

  • because of this review i bought a new board...

    rodney mullen uber light 7.5

    tensor magnesium trucks

    spitfire mash ups

    abec 7 bearings

    generic hardware

    and black diamond grip

  • Righ on, man... I appreciate you taking the time to watch. I try to be clear that I'm just some random guy having his own experience with what's in my hands, and I try to make sure that I appreciate that different skaters look for different things because we all have different tastes. Anyway, thanks again and I hope you enjoy your new setup! Cheers!

  • Cheers!

  • great vid i was thinking about getting the tensor response trucks after my 139m independent trucks were thrashed

  • don't buy boards or hardware from dwindle dist. the stuff is made from cheap and shitty material in china, the dwindle company shits ovr other company's tht make better quality deck made in america

  • i'm pretty sure dwindle uses canadian wood.

  • 100% Chinese manufactured. Canadian Maple, yes, but exported to China for manufacturing.

Having said that, even though I'm not a fan of Chinese products, I consider Steve Douglas of Dwindle a friend and think all the cats they sponsor are amazing.

  • soz i was replying to maxnboom. i had an uberlight, lent it to a friend, he snapped it. o well :|

  • Mullen's products have been iffy the past few years or so, probably the factory he has everything made in.

I have the Mullen vortex and i have no problems with it. I like doing primo stuff and did it b4 the board was broken in, so tiny chips of the wood came off, but its a great board. Its an 8 ply but its more durable and as light as a 7ply.

  • we dont have a skate shop ur lucky...

  • No skateshop? Where are you located, man?

  • In a town in Missouri like a small town we use to have a shop but there moving to Kansas City so like we doomed...But were having our towns sesquicentennial and there having a skateboarding demo there to its gonna be awesome...Atleast 1 of us will get sponsered

  • he's not lucky your just unlucky lol

  • My first Almost Uber broke at the truck near the tail. I'm a light-weight, and not hard core, so that it would break after ollie manuals surprised me.

I don't skate the replacement much, as I thought it DID feel weird, and I agree that it liked to do it's own thing and flip in very unforgiving ways.

    Nice job, grimcity.

  • Breaking a board doing mannys is a new one to me! Damn!

Regardless, thanks for the compliment, I sincerely appreciate it. I don't try to be the authority on everything, but I try to share my personal experiences with what I have and use as much factual information as possible, I try to make sure that my opinions are distinctly mine, since everyone has different experiences. So thank you again, I enjoy doing these, I talk a lot, but I'm wordy! Just like this post, hehe. Peace!

  • Hey Im Kinda Low on money and i bet u get asked this everyday, but i see that you get like free boards or something so....

    A) Can You Please Hook Me Up?

    B) If not, how did you get to acquire free boards?

  • A: Sorry, all my old gear gets donated to the local kids here in my city.

B: Over the past few years, I've met a number of people in the industry, both in real life and online. I sort of lucked out, actually. To this day, I've never asked for one piece of hardware, it just finds its way over here.

Some people that believe in what they're selling send stuff over, but with the expectation that I'll do a proper review, which can be pretty time consuming... not to mention I get broke off a lot!

  • Well Thanks for the reply

ill try and find so hooks ups er something

    hopefully ill get lucky

  • ur cool, and nice.

  • All I can say is Do More Reviews. It's good stuff!

  • i just orderd tensor mags and now you are making me worried that maybe they will break, and I also am getting a almost impact, the ballon animal deck for pudwill

  • magnesium tensors dont break, my mate has them and he threw them out of his bedroom window and they were fine.

  • Nice review man.

  • did the board MAINTAIN ITS STIFFNESS or did it get soggy

  • It stayed poppy.

  • When you where at the skateshop i think you where Wasted or Baked.

  • Nah, I'm dopey when I'm, tired... I had been skating in some really hot & humid weather. Whenever I'm tired I come across as wasted, but I barely even drink (like once every two or three months). I smoke cigs and I'm a caffeine addict though (don't ever start smoking). PEEEAAACE!

  • you should try to stop smoking

  • does he have a chanel becouse i want to sub.

  • Thanks, man. Subbed as well! Cheers!

  • Dude decks over here in ireland cost like 80-100 EUROS thats about the price of the Uberlight for any normal deck over here... fuck the economy man

  • Yeah, I've made a few acquaintances with a lot of skaters in Europe, and they mention the same thing... I'm not sure what the current USD-to-Euro exchange is right now, but in USD, a shop deck/pricepoint is about $35-40, pro models are from $45-55 (prices based on my local shop). Our prices are pretty comparable to the rest of the US, if not a couple of dollars cheaper (Louisiana has a lower cost of living than most of the other States). Any local brands that are less expensive? Cheers Rg!

  • there really arent that many "local" brands per se. The skateshops (all two of em) have a few own brand decks which weigh about as much as a small elephant and pop about as well. I'm sure you've heard of ruckos theyre based in ireland but im not really a fan, their decks can run anywhere from €50-80 which is pretty bad. Know any online places in europe that sell decks? Cheers

  • dude you were baked off ur ass haha

  • so how did the destruco's do?

  • Oh yeah, they rode perfectly fine. I can't believe I never brought that up.... hell I think you're the first to ask. But yeah, good turn, they did the deed!

  • Lots of boards u got..

  • thats a skate shop

  • Hey man, just noticing your age now, got a question kind'a based on that.

I stopped skating several years ago, but getting back into it. Used Tensors about a couple of years ago, and fell in love with'em.. But never got around to buying any after I quit.

I'm gonna be 21 this year, and I can still ollie pretty damn good, but not much else hah.

Think it's too late to start it up again?

  • I don't know if it's ever too late man... I have friends that had stopped skating when they were teenagers and got back into it when they were in their 30's and 40's. If you can hop on a board right now and have fun on it, then you should start immediately (assuming you didn't stop because of an injury, I don't want to give you bad advice if you're recovering from something). There's nothing wrong with just cruising, either. Enjoy rolling, man. Go for that shit.

  • Cheers man, you made my day.

Yeah I just stopped because of other stuff. If it makes ya happy, can't be bad right? ;D

  • Damn straight, man!

Yeah, get back on board and start doing your thing as soon as you can get a setup put together!

I'll just relay this to you... like my info stuff says, I'm 34, meaning I was your age 13 years ago... the only real difference in my skating now as an older-ish guy is that really huge stairs sets and monster drops aren't fun to me anymore. Since I started skating in 1985, I've had pretty much every injury you can have, concussions, breaks, sprains, getting racked, etc... (cont)

  • -but the thing that makes skating awesome is that we can turn it down a notch if we want to... I get injured all the time, not bruises or scrapes, but ankle sprains, breaks, and torn knee cartilage (had surgery less than a year ago). I'm married, have a full time career, an old house to take care of and maintain, a 2 hour commute to/from work, blah blah, etc. What I'm getting at is that I have every reason to not skate, but I still can, so why not? Be sure to make it what you want... your pace.

  • hey do u have any tips on heelflips im working on them and i was woundering if had any tips?...

  • what does it mean by responsive?

  • they react to your movements and turn well

  • i have some questions:

    1. how long is it from nose to tail

    2. can u do poggo whit it whit out braking fast

    3. is the grip tape strong gleud

    tank you,

    seanskaterr

  • who the hell pogos

  • Comment removed

  • rodney mullen lol

  • Your Uber sweating @ 6:55 lol

  • is it just me or does it seem that all skateparks are next to police stations? lol anyways nice review i just bought an uberlight off of ccs for 40$

  • lol so did i , like 10 mins ago

  • nah they're not gonna send it. i bought two from ccs saturday morning and today called and they said they were sending me a postcard kuz they are all sold out. u guys will find out within a week... the ccs ones sold out before the weenend...

  • haha our skatepark is by a police station

  • lol so are mine. well both that i go 2 are by police stations its funny

  • well when i went there i asked for a good light deck and they said any of these and its a normal baker deck team version.....

  • 5:30 to 5:34 funny ass bail xD

  • whats a really good light street board?

  • Kind've a hard question to answer because it's subjective... any 7.6-ish deck from Deluxe or a multitude of other companies. It's best to go to your local skateshop and stand/hold the board in person then decide since we all have our own peculiar tastes, you kow?

  • k thanks my town local skate store closed :( so now i have to drive to zumiez and they dont care wat u get they just wanna sell there products

  • really? in what way??

  • i think a nice light street board is the elementPUSH construction

its alot stronger than the uberlight for street.

    daPOEZO

  • have you ever roden a element PUSH deck?

if not you should try one

i think theyre really good and dont have any problems that ive noticed.

  • yeah, i never really rode element b4 but when i tried the push it was NICE

  • are you sponsored (yous should be)

  • I represent out local shop, but that's it. I've ridden for a couple of board companies, but I prefer being a computer geek when it comes to the bills. I don't think I'd enjoy skating for a living, as opposed to simply skating for fun.

  • that sucks bout the trucks man. did ya get a refund?

btw at 4:07 that wus preety sick
