450's weigh more as well. so it your putting it down to the bike power to weight ratio there pretty even. an also you have to remember the riders. the guy on the 450 might be shit. i vote if your just a big guy, go for the 450. a 250 will keep up with a 450 until you get to a super long straight. i personally own an 08 crf250r and i have riden a few 450's and at the end of the day who would want to get of a bike with sore arms from hanging off the back of a 450. All engines have powerbands dating back to the first steam engine. A two stroke just has a hard and quick powerband while four strokes are more across the whole rpm range making it seem less intense than a 2 stroke.But its not.
