  • just a great game, went thru a few joysticks with this one. still have the game for my atari on cassette tho. hard to find disk version. I prefer origional hardware and software to preserve the origionality of these games. altho i doctored my xc12 and now it loads from other tape decks or from the audio files of the tapes saved to cd. loading from cd never gives load errors :-)

  • Does anybody know why the screen shifted horizontally to the right ? I have exactly the same symptoms with my NTSC Atari 130XE and Atari XE GS and I have tried every single version of the game out there. It plays fine on the emulator but the screen is shifted on the flat-screen CRT TV. Any ideas ?

  • For some reason, this looks action-packed.

  • Ah, yes, that Atari disc loading sound. It was much louder on the 800XL - BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP. I can't tell you how annoying that was, to say nothing of the endless loading times.

Classic fighting game, still looks and plays great.

  • Wow, the animation on this version of Kchamp is really fluid and fast paced.

I will try it out sometime =D

  • This was an awesome game... I ended up playing it on my Atari 800 Colleen. To be able to go back to much simpler days.

  • My brother had a game very similar to this on the Commodore 64, I believe it was called "Way of the Exploding Fist". All of these home-computer karate games were copies of Karate Champ, which was popular in the arcades back in those days. Games like this did eventually inspire me to take up karate in real life. Twenty years or so after I was a kid playing Karate Champ in the arcades I got my own son to start taking karate lessons at the local Dojo when he was 4 years old. Thanks for the upload!

  • It was my fav game on my atari 65xe...good memories:]

  • They just don't get much better than this :). Oh the memories...

  • no shit dude.....i remember playing this in my dads basement in the pitch dark hahaha for HOURS!!

  • I think was best fighting games on Atari 800xl: ninja, interkarate and karateka.

  • one of my favorites on the C64.

  • My favorite gameon Atari.

  • haha, fantastic! the best is the loading sound of the 1050 diskdrive

  • Ah so old and still better animated than a lot of the later fighters, even the popular ones :)

  • Heh I found flash version :)

  • better to play in the original version with an Atari 800 xl ;)

  • He, he Im 65 XE user, but loading it from tape, it brings some funny memories :) lol. Peace Greetings form Mt Fuji :)

  • nice to meet you! Yes, the sounds of loading give to me nostalgic emotions! ^_^

  • Especially when it failed, heh that often brought storm into my room :) Even when my bro, jumped... and game didn't load - Ace of Aces especially - pure fury :) lol. Cheers.
