  • Apparently, they were from original network prints, 'tom', where the sponsor I.D. appeared at the very end. There was also an opening I.D., just before the title, that went like this:

RON ROSSEN: "CHRYSLER- star of 'The Forward Look'- and Your Chrysler Dealer presents...'IT'S A GREAT LIFE'!"

  • life seem boring in the 50's :p

  • what an annoying bunch of men

  • i use to watch this show when i was a kid, love it. william bishop was so good looking

  • This episode originally aired on March 18, 1956, during the period when Michael O'Shea {"Denny"} was unable to appear on the show {on several occasions, Tommy Noonan filled in (as "Tommy")}. Phyllis Coates, the first "Lois Lane" on "THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN", guest stars as "Lola"; veteran character actor Herb Vigran is "Mickey Spade" [an amalgam of two famous fictional detectives, "Mickey Spillane" and "Sam Spade"- get it?].

  • This series [originally sponsored by Chrysler-Plymouth on NBC] was the creation and domain of Ray Singer and Dick Chevillat, who wrote "THE PHIL HARRIS-ALICE FAYE SHOW" on NBC radio from 1948 through '52. After they professional separated, Chevillat teamed with Jay Sommers to write the majority of "GREEN ACRES" episodes from 1965 through '71, while Ray Singer became one of Lucille Ball's frequent writers on "THE LUCY SHOW" (often borrowing script ideas from "IT'S A GREAT LIFE").

  • @fromthesidelines I saw an episode on American Life where they kept the sponsor plug..."IT'S A GREAT LIFE is brought to you by Chrysler...it's a great life when you drive the 1956 PowerStyle Chrysler"
