I think you're right. But she didn't write the words, so it makes sense to change the gender depending on who's singing it I guess.

what happened was one of the guys came in with the lyrics and she just sang them from the piece of paper as it was recorded. They did another take where she sang "He said" but they thought her original take was better and kept it. I've always thought this may explain why Cerys has such a strong lesbian following!!
