this is 150 cc? rear tire is wide just like on tomos apn from 1975. my aprilia rs 125 have for about 5-6 cm wider tire and its only 125!

@iviaj the CBR 150R for 2011 has been released in Thailand. For the first year since productions began there are cosmetic changes to the bike. It looks cool but I believe that the basic platform is the same since the first model.

the design doesnt look as good as the r125 or similar bikes, but the fact is that the design is honest. it isnt trying so hard to look like a full size bike. i like it for that reason. pulling up in a r125 that looks the business but is essentially writing cheques its engine cannot cash.

@bryhne...yes its a made in thailand CBR 150...for the asian market...this bike is commuter oriented...in fact i would have bought it if it has a wider front and rear fairing plus a 15 lt tank....but then again i'd still prefer an Aprilia RS125 or Cagiva Mito. A Yamaha YZF-R125 with a 200/250cc 30bhp DOHC single would be nice too...

I think Honda should really revamp this design with a better looking wider fairing, 15 lt tank so that the bike does not look like its on a depressing diet...this minimalist approach design is way out... Plus a 200/250cc DOHC single would be better... In this part of the world not everyone has the dosh to buy a new CBR600... How about it Mr Honda?

I am pretty sure they are only made in Thailand and exported to other SE Asian countries. I have gotten mine to 120km/h...around 10,000rpm. Very fun to drive. Cost around 65,000 baht (give or take pending on your bargaining skills and dealer) which works out to around 1,800 USD (35:1). The real fun starts when you put a 250 into the 150 frame :)

of course it's a two-stroke. make the honda a 250cc engine with equal hp and it's a different story. but i agree on the looks. aprilia looks much more like a real motorbike and not like a better 80cc. i own the cbr, though and i love it! by the way 4-stroke engines need double the displacement of a 2-stroke if they want to keep up.

i had the honda cbr 150 in 2003, drove it up to 135km/h. it could have gone faster but i was only 15 years old and kind of scared racing on a 5 lines traffic road ;)

i still love and miss that bike and thought about importing it to germany too..
