@MudDauper Nope, I set it off center rather than remove the gas can handle. It sits to one side of the handle. Just thought it looked more like a can with the handle on.
I Really dont see how any one could ever dislike this. This is so awesome. Well I guess we have proof seeing as though theres no dislikes in the ratings bar. Great video.
@spectrender The neck has a wooden dowell stick that runs through the can and the tailpiece screw goes into it. I've got videos up on how to make these things.. See "how to make a gas can" video.. Thanks.
Sounds like you recorded this via a laptop. You can eliminate the whine by simply pulling the power cord while recording. Or you can also use a ground lift on your power supply. Just a friendly bit of advice from an Audio engineer...
@spookedjunglist Actually recorded it with a camera, but I wore that camera out now and have a newer one. It works much better. thanks for the input though..
I´m a sixteen year old fron sweden, so my english is not so good. I just wanted to tell you that i love your videos. They are cute, and I love tha Banjo :)
Thanks for the tip on Sylvester Weaver. Found a youtube video of him playin' and sure do like it. One of my new favorites, and an honor to be linked with such a fine musician..
this is one of the best sounding banjos Ive heard, I have a friend who makes cigar box guitars, similar to these...great sound and jam session before you went to work.
The old banjo necks have a wooden dowel rod that runs through the banjo. I just shortened the rod, poked a hole through the can with a screwdriver and hammer and slid the stick in and lined it up. Made a tail piece with a bent fork. Not much to it. Give it a try, not much to lose if you use a cheap neck and a can..
awesome!!!

Is there a reason why the neck is off-center, along with the bridge? Does it make it easier to play?

Yea, better start saving all the cans you can find. Once the oil is gone, they'll be collector's items..
