  • Anybody knows where this Minjiang is? I want to go there. Thanks.

  • In Sichuan province, it's a river.

  • Thank you very much. But are there coconut forests there? I've never been to Sichuan (Just a very brief stop at Chungqing), but I thought coconut forests are found in tropical zones.

  • @hawaiiiki

This Minjiang actually is Manila River in Philippines. Not in China. 《Serenade In Manila River 》.

  • As far as I know, the year of recording is 1949.

  • Great song and a beautiful lady too.

I remember listening this song when I travelling in the bus to school (perhaps during standard one). Now still play it in my car. Great stuff from Wu Ying Ying - One the greatest chinese singer of all times.

  • Bravissimo!!!

  • it has been a long time since i last heard this song. great for an pld man to refresh his memory. thank you zound cracker.

  • BRAVO!!

  • I like this song. The swing tempo is very nice and her vocals are clear and crisp. The melody trusts me back in time, to the 60's when it was frequently on air. Ya, kind of nostalgic and reminds one of fond memories of a bygone era. What a wonderful feeling to greet a nice Christmas Day morning. Anyway, I wish Zoundcraker and everybody a very Happy New Year 2009 Peace and Good Health to all.

  • @koaypatrick

    You're right!

Listen to those lively swing tempo, it's so natural for people to have the images appeared that a gorgeous couple were dancing together happily with some quick steps and fox-trot.

  • thank you for posting this song hear. i had many songs of her. but i lost all . how nice can hear again .

  • Nice:)

  • Excellent sound quality on top of everything else. Thanks!

  • Romantic oldies , forever good songs .

  • The song you mentioned:"My Youth Days"

was also written by the same composer H S Li, who died on July 14 1973. He was my uncle

  • @allenchenn May ask a question of you? If Shu-Long (徐朗) one of your uncle’s pen-names?

  • @kungforty Thanks for asking but I don't think that was H.S. Li's pen name. I am so glad that you like this song as this year it is the 63rd anniversary, woo... times flies!

  • @allenchenn Thanks of quick response. I like H. S. Li's song very much. Since Ms. Wu, Ying-Ying sang many songs which were composed by Mr. Li; I thought that included the one “Precious romantic moments” (好春宵) composed by Shu-Long, sung by Ms. Wu. Now I have found that Shu-Long was Li, Jing-Kwang. Thanks again.

  • 很好听!我喜欢她唱的断肠红和南风。

  • She got a very special voice.

    thank you for the upload.

  • Thanks your post
