It's because the light of the moon pretty much goes through the spout, and since its water anyway, it doesn't show the area that got lit up becuase its not a high tech camera. Thanks for posting this though man, I gotta say, some people don't put thought into what they see. :P
think about it,,, how the hell will you capture a video of a tornado moving behind the moon??? its not possible unless the moon was inside the earths atmosphere
but fuck knows really you could be right.... but it just looks so fake moving behind the moon,,,
It's not going behind the moon people. It's the Brightness of the moon and the zoom out that makes it look like that. I f he were to zoom back in you could see it.
@Kalphiter45 um no im not im a certified storm spotter that means i know a damn about tornadoes sow about you hut the hell up and learn about tornadoes like i did
@Kalphiter45 how much u wanna bet im 13 years old and i took the training at the storm chaser convention i have a spotter number i went through 5 hours of training about tornadoes to become cerified i had to pass a test to become certified trust me i know a lot about tornadoes and dont call me retarded i would not have gotten mad if u would not have said that because i have a brother who is retarded he has autism thats all i have to say
@Kalphiter45 you are one of those guys who has nothing better to do than be a jerk to little kids so im not going to respond to any more of your comments
@XyZxYz1293 okay the frekin things real just lay off i was just sayin wat i thauht i watched it again its real and no ur not smarter than me i just idnt look at it closely ...okay so its all over the tornado is real and it was an amazing video clip
Maxolson, think more options before you say for sure is fake. Most likely the intensity of the light surrounds the part of the tornado going over the moon. You can see the upper part of the tornado reappearing at the end of the video.
MrMeMoir, reflection on the glass? lol, is clearly the moon, i would have thought the tornado itself to be the fake thing, like a wool string, but doubtful because the zooms he made would have make it a difficult trick.
Florida, maybe an airplane contrail? A vertical one (are you suggesting a diving airplane??) & moving horizontally? lol. Besides, contrails typically occurs at heights in excess of 24,000 ft or so, can't remember, while tornados form only a couple of thousands I think, above ground level (AGL) (10,000 MSL more or less).
That's pretty epic. I never knew that Lake Tahoe could even get tornadoes or waterspouts.

thats just about the scariest thing i think i've ever seen.
TroySundt 2 months ago
@julogden, that is not a contrail, contrails would not rope out and reform.

This is awesome footage! I can see it isn't going behind the moon cause I see bits of the tornado in the moonlight.
AMVDialupDiaries 1 year ago
The phenomenon here is is normal, the high brightness of the moon overloads the camera, hiding narrow or small objects passing in front of it..
