  • I have much respect for RAF pilots who fought back those dark days. Many salutes to all the brave men and women back in those days (as well whom serve in the British and American military today)

  • Tranquil and poignant. My own brother-in-law is currently serving in Afghanistan at the moment. The sacrifices, past and present, of our Armed Forces, must never be forgotten.

  • Many thanks for posting this and keeping alive the memory of two men who died to allow some of the idiots on here to post their ignorant comments. Those persons and their comments are not worthy of standing in these men's shadows.

    The airmen were members of 7 Squadron RAF and died on the 15th February 1944 and assuming that they may have been members of a Lancaster bomber crew, then the other five crew members may have survived.
