Hi Guys, I just got this tutorial working on Xcode 4.2.1 - the fundamental change is that you must create the SecondView class files *before* the Interface Builder part. From the project root, right click and choose 'New File' then select UIViewController subclass. Name the class 'SecondView' leave as subclass of UIViewController and 'With XIB for user interface' ticked then add to your project. Now you will have to manually edit the .h and .m files to add the IBOutlet view and IBAction done.
Hey Dev, I am using Xcode 3.2.6, when coming to change the identity of the view controller, class - action of done, outlet - view, UIView There isnt that option to do so. Private message me or something please, would appreciate it.
This suck so hard! Go under, go this, go that, go there.. Use the main interface, not your own workspace. And as, Amirmansoury was saying, what are you really doing?
The SDK 3.2.6. is SOOO LAAAME, they separated the action control in the library so it isn't under Object anymore wich makes it 1000X more complicated to do.. I cannot, AT ALL, follow your DEMO because of that.
I noticed you're using the 3.1 in your other video,
@canad4rQc its now in the library under classes you have to select the UIViewController and apply the action and outlet from the drop down menu given, pain the in the arse.

NworksDEV, can you Switch 3 views? there is not ONE tutorial on having a Main Menu and then switch to 3 or 4 views. Can it be done? Can you make a tutorial about this please?????
Good tutorial. It might be a little better if you slowed down a little bit and explained certain things (for example, I noticed that there was a time when you didn't mention to save the project after you edited the TwoViewAppViewController.h file, and newcomers might not know that it needs to be saved in order for the Interface Builder to connect all the pieces together properly). All in all, very nice work.
@econometricsly a) because it's children who have had computers since they were born, and b) he sounds about 17, and I wouldn't consider that a "children"
right around 5:56 I get an error "Expected expression before 'end'" , im coding in simulator 4.1 :( Any help? Great tutorial overall! just that little part :S
Can u pls provide the tutor fro Multiple Views using Navigation Based Application. What I mean is suppose if we take 4 Views.(Moving from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 and VICE VERSA .Using NEXT and FORWARD BUTTON ). In 1st View, data will be row and when we click any row content(NOT LABEL/BUTTONS) it will go to 2nd view(which contain TEXT) . And in the same way from 2 to 3 (here also TEXT will be displayed). TEXT should be displayed in LANDSCAPE MODE(side ways)."
On Second View in Interface builder.... How did you get the extra tabs in Class Identity to give you the "Class Actions" and "Class Outlets" tabs?? Im running Xcode 3.2. Thanks.
would you be able or willing to make a tutorial on switching views for the 3.2?? i'm new too xcode and i cant find any tutorials or basic help for 3.2
So in theory if I wanted to build an app with say 40 or so views could I build two at a time? Would xcode recognize the other views when I input the code to switch to a view that might be 30 or so views down in the app?

I am running a later version of SDK (3.2.6.) and the switchview code in .h does not create a file to connect to when I get in the Interface builder.
Have you heard of that ?

Hey! Good job...Question: Do you not have to import "SecondView.h" in your TwoViewapp.m file? Do you not get a warning of some sort?
