@ThanosRulezz If you are talking about guitar tone it is most likely simple distortion with much reverb and wah pedal fixed at some resonating point. If you have guitar processor with strong reverb option turn it (hall mode) and put wah pedal at half you should get similar sound. Of course in this song since it is done in studio there is additional setting to it so you might not get the exact sound,

@ThanosRulezz Nystrom has admitted using the Boss SG-1 pedal a lot...it's a swell pedal and unfortunately, it's discontinued. I am not sure he uses it in this exact part, but it's possible because of the "synth" sound.

the conclusion is that katatonia are unique and a pure diamond in metal music because they genuine and the same time are evolving their music with the same negative inspiration from personal experiences...or thoughts..

and thats the good thing about katatonia in their songs they arent talking about war or knights or drgaons like thrash or epic metal does or anti religious things like black metal does...kataonia uses their negative feelings as an inspiration for their music thats why they are my fav band in many songs the lyrics is what i could think about society or about stab in the back from a friend or something personal and esostrephic...

True, but when you actually read the lyrics, you will see that it is anti-religious song. Lyrics like "I raise my fist to the sky, swear the ancient oath of black, the lambs shall bleed, eternally bleed, God is dead and shall forever be." I would hardly call that song religious. Furthermore, the band had a pentagram in their original logo. Even if it is for image, why would they use it if they're Christians? I don't believe Katatonia is a satanic band, but I still wouldn't call them religious.

you are right old katatonian song 'WITHOUT GOD' is an anti-relegion songs and they used the pentagram logo...anders and jonas are in a band called BLOODBATH which has a song entitled "bastard son of god".still they band has changed alot since then...bloodbath on the other hand is still same...anti-relegion is a typical death metal lyrical theme...
