I love make the cut. I use to have sure cuts a lot and this is so much eaiser to use. I turned my school logo into a svg file in just a few clicks. Sure cuts a lot you have to also use inkscape.
Thank you very much, I do like SCAL and hope you will continue to teach for both because I go back and refer to them often when I have forgotten a step, This has been one of my favorite sites to learn from, so thank you for all that you do...
@scrappaddy Make The Cut seems to be much more user-friendly. You can also import jpg files to cut. (No more needing to manipulate images in Inkscape first.) There is also an SVG viewer built-in. Do you NEED this software if you have SCAL? No, maybe not. It depends on how well you know SCAL. :) I have SCAL, SCAL 2, Design Studio and now this program. MTC is VERY user-friendly.
My absolute favorite is Design Studio - mainly because it makes it easier to use the cartridges. You can sometimes find Design Studio online for around $25. I've probably only used JUST the Cricut machine and cartridges a handful of times. However, MTC is my next favorite. So for NON cartridge use, Make The Cut would be my favorite.
Thanks. LOL I was totally lost as to where to begin. Baby steps are greatly appreciated.

If I already have SCAL, why would I like MTC software? I don't want to spend more money on another program, if I don't need it!!! Denise

If you have SCAL and you're happy then that's great. We're putting tutorials out there for both products. Just like fox news we teach, You Decide.
