hi mate, does the Macbook Pro (Late 2011) come with a 6 gbps optical drive? I'm planning on buying one with the OCZ Vertex 256Gb SSD (500mbps read and write) but because its a Sata 3, I'm not sure if the Macbook will take full advantage of the ssd performance
@LGBTeenAlliance The late 2011 (newest one) came out October 24th, so i would say get it now, as you'd be waiting a long time for another one to come out.
watch the way you take those screws off and set them next to the computer, i'd use a bottle cap or one of those little measuring cups that you get with liquid medicine.

Just installed the 8Gb. So far so good.
I wonder if the vram will get more boost if upgrading to 16Gb...
Even tho I see no need to pump it to 16 yet.
